((Status Update: Cario seems energized to play some more!))

--Cario's POV--

Early the next morning I woke up the the sound of snoring. I tiredly rubbed my eyes and looked around my room trying to find the source of the snoring. I laid my head back down on my pillow before hearing it start up again. "Grr... Who's snoring?!" I said angrily. After that, I heard a soft groan before looking down at my rug. It was Turtwig. He was, human?! "T-Turtwig?!" I exclaimed shocked almost shouting as I fell off of my bed and onto the floor. "Tr-trainer!" He said a bit shocked but he rushed over to help me up.  After I had calmed down, I was sitting on my bed and Turtwig was sitting on the rug in front of me. He looked to be a young boy, about 3'6", slightly dark skin rosy cheeks. His eyes were yellow with smokey gray pupils. His hair was a natural darker brown with  little spike of green poking up towards the top of his head. His clothes consist of a limey green tee with spikes of yellow at the end of it and the sleeves. Dark brown shorts with spikes of green on the legs. And some brownish black hiking boots. Turtwig also had a  green and yellow Bandanna wrapped around his neck.

"What... Happened to you?" I asked him and he just shook his head. "I just woke up like this." He answered. "Odd... I don't know what to say." I sighed before getting up and grabbing my clothes. "You uh... Stay here. I'm gonna go get dressed." Turtwig nodded and gave me a thumbs up. I smiled lightly at this and went to get dressed in my bathroom. 

(OH! And fun fact: Turtwig's original Nature was Bashful, but his Nature now is Brave. Reason why I said Original Nature is because my previous save file somehow got corrupted so I'm having to start over! Hence, how I'm writing along with it because I now have the chance. I didn't get too far in, just past the second gym. No biggy for me.) 

After I finished getting dressed, I walked out and went to grab my beanie. I didn't feel like fixing my hair so I just put on my beanie. I looked over at Turtwig and said "Come on, we're going to the lab." He nodded, got up and followed me downstairs. Auntie was still asleep at this time so I just left her a note on the fridge. I put my boots on and grabbed my big and went outside. I looked around for a bit seeing bits of snow on the ground. Turtwig looked around amazed to see snow. I chuckled lightly at this. He took a bit to stare at the lake. "Come on, silly!" I chuckled seeing Turtwig look back at me smiling. "C-coming!"   With that, we both started walking towards the exit in the upper part of the town. As we reached the exit, I saw Barry standing there. He looked at me and said "Too slow! Cario, I'm sick of waiting!" At this, I felt Turtwig shyly hide behind me pushing into my back as if he was hiding. "I'm going to go see Professor Rowan, so I can thank him properly. So, I had this great idea. Listen up, okay? You know that lake we always play at? You know how they say a legendary Pokemon lives there?" As Barry continued, I nodded but tilted my head. "You guessed it! Let's catch that Pokemon" "I didn't say anything though..." I said a bit under my breathe. "That'll make Professor Rowan happy. I'm sure of it! Me and you together, we've got nothing to fear!" With that, Barry grabbed my hand and begin to bring me along with him, almost dragging me. With Turtwig following beside me looking back to normal. '...okay...' I thought upon seeing this. Barry soon stopped at the entrance of the lake and said "Alright! We're at the lake! Get ready, because we're capturing that Legendary Pokemon. Trust me on this one. It's here. It even says so on the sign!" Barry then hurried in with me following behind me. As we got there, We looked around to so what was going on. "What's going on...?" Barry questioned with me shrugging. Turtwig then caught up to us and nudged into my leg. I picked him up and held him close to me. 

Barry then gasped and said "Look!" I looked forward and saw a guy, much older than us staring off into the lake. We both quietly stepped forward to hear what he was saying. "...The flowing time... The expanding space... I will make it all mine one day... Cyrus is my name. Remember it... Until then, sleep while you can, legendary Pokemon of the lake bed." It was clear he was talking to the legendary Pokemon that was here. But why? He sighed before walking towards us. "Allow me to pass. Step aside." He said and me and Barry stepped aside allowing him to pass. Barry looked at me and said, "What was that about?" I shrugged. "Weird guys... Anyways. Cario! Let's catch that legendary Pokemon!" After Barry said that, a weird cry came out from the lake. Barry ran towards the lake and looked around not seeing where the cry came from. Barry came back and said "Cario! Did you hear that?! That was the legendary Pokemon crying! That had to be it! This is our chance! Let's catch it!" I gave Barry a blank stare and said, "One, the legendary Pokemon will be too powerful for us. Two, how are we even going to get out there to it?" "...Wait! What?! We don't have anything on us! You know, Poke balls! P-O-K-accent-E Balls! If we don't have those, we can't catch Pokemon or take them around with us! Do you think Professor Rowan would give us some if we asked him?" Barry said ignoring what I had just said. I sighed at this. "You know, you remember what he said, don't you? He said to visit him at his lab if we needed anything. Hey Cario! I'll race you there! First one to the professor's lab in Sandgem town rules!" After saying this, Barry took after leaving me behind. "Turtwig, why'd you turn back?" I said looking down at Turtwig. Turtwig quickly jumped out of my arms down onto the ground. He then began to glow a light blue before turning to his human form. "Wh-whoa..."  "Ahaha! See! I figured out how I did it! I must've done it in my sleep, haha!" Turtwig was happy with himself as he said that. "H-how did you do it?" I asked shocked and amazed. "Well, basically if I force enough energy to my mind I can somehow do it. Other than that, I have no clue! Haha!" Turtwig calmed down with his laughing and looked towards the lake. "But still... That Cyrus guy... I wonder what he's planning..." Turtwig turned back facing me. "Well, come On trainer! Let's go see Professor Rowan!" I nodded agreeing with Turtwig and started to walk back towards the town. Now, as I passed the entrance of the town I continued walking like you would take a right as you were leaving the town. We walked through the grass that lead to Sandgem town. While walking, me and Turtwig saw other Pokemon. Such as Starly's and Bidoof's. We let them be and if any of them tried to attack Turtwig switched forms and protected me. He was a good boy.

As we approached Sandgem town, I was greeted by Lucas who must've been waiting. Turtwig his behind me before turning back into a Pokemon. "Hi! I've been waiting for you! Please, come with me. The Professor is waiting to see you." Lucas said greeting me. I smiled seeing him. He turned gesturing to the roofed building to the right of him. "This is our Pokemon Research Lab. We'll just go ahead and..." Before he could finish, Barry came running out and bumped into me, sending me to the ground with a thud nearly crushing Turtwig. "What the... Oh it's you, Cario! That old guy... He's not that scary, he is totally out there! Aww, it doesn't matter, Cario. I'm out of here. See you later!" Not bothering to help me up, Barry took off leaving me and Lucas behind. Lucas sighed helping me up off the ground. "Man, your friend always seems to be in such a rush. Anyway... Let's go in." I nodded at Lucas and followed him inside the building. Inside the lab was your typical lab. Some book shelves, we assistants, and research machines and equipment. Lucas lead me back towards the back of the lab where Professor Rowan was standing. "Well, well, look who's here. Cario, was it? Let's have a look at your Pokemon." Turtwig then wobbled out from behind me to in front of me to where Rowan could see him. "U-um, excuse me, Professor. This morning as I woke up to Turtwig. I found that he had changed form. For example, Turtwig." without warning, Turtwig then changed form before Professor Rowan. Rowan looked At the human Turtwig before him astonished. "Sir, I don't know if it was a malfunction with the Poke ball, or the chips I have in my driver reacting with Poke ball but I woke up with him like this." I tried to explain what happened this morning. Terror then spoke. "Sir, I found this potential in my sleep and have taken control of this."

Rowan surveyed Turtwig before reaching a conclusion. "Hmm... I see... Your Turtwig seems to be rather happy. Entrusting you with this Turtwig was no mistake, it seems! Well, would you like to give him a nickname?" I nodded before looking at my Turtwig, him looking back at me. "I think... I will call you Terror" (Terror was the name of my original Turtwig that I had in my Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon play through. Oh, he was great.) Turtwig, now named Terror beamed at his new name. "I... I love it!" Rowan continued speaking getting our attention. "When I first saw you two about to step into the tall grass without Pokemon, I was shocked. Now seeing what you do to Pokemon inside there Poke balls I am astounded! Already, there is a bond growing between you and Terror. I feel privileged to have met you. I'm sure Terror feels the same way about you. That's why I'll ask you to cherish Terror." Lucas smiled before saying "Boy, am I glad you're kind towards Pokemon. If you weren't, well... I don't even want to think about it." Rowan cleared his throat getting my attention once more. "Now then, let's move in to the main topic. There is something I want you to do for me. Allow me to properly introduce myself first. My name, as you may know, is Rowan. I study Pokemon. First of all, I want to know exactly what kinds of Pokemon live in the Sinnoh region. To do so, it is necessary to collect data using the Pokedex. Since I can see what you've done with Pokemon, this is what I wish to ask of you. I want to entrust you with this Pokedex. Will you use it to record data on all the Pokemon in Sinnoh for me? I would like to see what Pokemon are affected by your magic touch." I gave a shocked look before nodding quickly. "Y-yes sir, Professor!"  "Hm! Good answer!" Rowan soon pulled out a small handheld device and handed it to me. It was like a phone, but it flipped up I soon discovered while fooling around with it. "That Pokedex is a very high-tech device. It will automatically record data on every kind of Pokemon you encounter. (Frick, my 3ds is dying as I'm writing this xD) Cario, I ask that you go everywhere and meet every kind of Pokemon in this region!" "I've got the same type of Pokedex as you." Lucas said.  "When you walked up Route 201 with your Pokemon, what did you feel? I've lived for 60 long years. Even then, I get a thrill when I'm with a Pokemon. Now, you should know that there are countless Pokemon in this world. That means there are just as many thrills waiting for you out there! Now go! Cario, your grand adventure begins right now!" Rowan continued before Lucas spoke again. "The professor asked me to help, so I'm filling the Pokedex pages, too. That makes us comrades working towards the same goal. I'll teach you stuff later, okay?" Lucas then went on his way out of the lab. I smiled looking back at Terror, him doing the same. 'I guess my adventure begins!' 

((Status Update: Turtwig is now named Terror! Cario seems a bit tired. Why don't you let her recharge and we'll play again soon.))
