It was almost immediately that word had spread about the "hot new couple" at Metropolis High

So immediate in fact that you were literally rushed by a group of students who wanted to know for themselves while you were getting off the bus in front of the school

After avoiding the crowd, you made your way to your locker only to find it decorated with graffiti about how you and Zee are now "dating". Jess, Kara, and Babs are at their lockers grabbing their books

Y/n: Seriously why is everyone making this such a big deal than it should be?!

Kara: Probably because you decided to go after the most popular girl in school?

Y/n: We aren't even dating! We're just being casual

Jess: Y/n, what if Zee doesn't feel the same way as you do?

Y/n: I'm telling you, Zee feels the same way as me. If she didn't, we would've talked about being together by now

Babs: Uh, Y/n? You might wanna take a look down the hall

You close your locker and make your way down the hall with the 3 girls in tow, only to find a group of students chatting up a storm about how you "swept Zee away" and "made her feel like a princess" while Zee is trying to calm them down and diffuse the situation

Y/n: You girls go ahead, I'll catch up in a bit

Jess: Be careful

Kara: Kick their butts

Babs: We'll see you soon

Babs and Jess walk to class while you hide behind a corner and overhear the crowd surrounding Zee

Female Student: So he grabbed you by the waist and just went for it?!

Zee: Yes-but he was only thanking me for a favor I did for him

Male Student: Oooh pray to tell what this "favor" was, maybe you can do me one too!

Having heard more than enough, you walked up to the male student who had just harassed Zee and kindly punched him right in the nose

Y/n: Listen up you high school soap drama rejects!

Female Student: Hey!

Y/n: I know Zee is the most popular girl in school, and the prettiest and most fashionable-

Zee: Aww

Y/n: -but her dating life shouldn't be anyone else's business but hers! And if you don't like it, well I think Niles over there is a prime example of what might happen if you try and harass her about it

The kid you punched, Niles, runs off holding his bloody nose. The bell rings and everyone walks away from the scene while Zee gathers her belongings

Zee: Thanks Y/n. You're a lifesaver

Y/n: Don't sweat it, Zee. I couldn't stand them cornering you like that

Zee: Is it okay if we talk? After class of course

Y/n: Sure thing

Zee: Great, meet me under the bleachers at lunch

Y/n: Roger

After class ends, you make your way to the track and walk up to the bleachers while looking for Zee

Zee: Psst, Y/n!

You look at Zee, who is hiding under the bleachers trying to avoid anyone who might want to watch them

Y/n: You do realize that this is literally the top place students would go if they wanna secretly make out, right?

Zee: Really? But it's so...gross under here

Y/n: So are high schoolers, Zee. So what's up?

Zee looks down at her feet and blushes bright red, and you gulp at the fact that you know what's coming up next

Zee: So...that kiss the other night...

Y/n: Yeah, I was afraid we were gonna talk about that...

Zee: So, where do we go from here?

Y/n: I dunno, where do you want to go from here?

Zee: I mean, I like you, I really like you...but I don't know how to be a good girlfriend to you...You're kind, sweet, and honest, and any other girl would be lucky to have you

Y/n: I feel you, I've never really been in a relationship either...But that doesn't mean we can't try it out

Zee: What?

You walk up to Zee and hold her hands

Y/n: I like you too, Zee. I really like you...and I don't know how to be a good boyfriend to you, but I'll try my hardest to make you happy. Because, to me, you're smile is worth everything

Zee leans into you and kisses you on the lips

Zee: You have 6 friends who are all girls and you could've gone after any of them at any time, so why me?

Y/n: You want my honest answer? 

Zee eagerly nods her head awaiting your answer

Y/n: Because I-

Just then you get a phone call. You answer your phone and put it on speaker only to hear Jess on the line

Jess: Y/n? Where are you?

Y/n: I'm at school with Zee right now, what's up?

Jess: Look at the news, RIGHT NOW!

Y/n: Alright?

You pull up the news on Zee's phone and get the shock of a lifetime

Y/n: Is that...me?!
