Basila: 10 MONTHS! I HAVE WAITED FOR THIS DAY FOR 10 MONTHS!

Y/n: Waited for what?! What did I ever do to you?!

Basila: You still don't get it, huh? Then lemme refresh your memory...Eel Boy...

Y/n: Eel Boy?...

Just as it clicks into your head, the imposter molds itself into a female figure, covered head to toe in dirt and clay. You immediately recognized her

Y/n: Basila?...

Basila: Missed me, loser?

Y/n: What happened to you?!

Basila: You happened! That night at the chem lab, you knocked me into that shelf of dirt and chemicals. It bonded with my body and turned me into this...freak! That day, my life was taken away from you, so now I'm gonna do to you what you did to me all those months ago!

Basila threw you across the base into Diana's part of the base, with all of the Amazonian weapons and shields

Y/n: Yeah right, Clayface. The only way that's happening is if we're suddenly stuck in 20-degree weather, and it's May right now

You slingshot yourself over to Basila and increase the density of your fist, punching her across the room into Kara's 3000 lb weights. She eagerly grins as she picks one up and tosses one right over to you

Y/n: Or...you can do that...AH!

You narrowly avoid the weight and grab one of Diana's shields and toss it at her, slicing her shoulder, but she just regenerates as if nothing happened

Y/n: Seriously?!

Basila back you into a corner as you keep tossing Diana's weapons at her. Once you run out, you brace for impact as Basila readies a giant mace with her arm

Basila: Payback time!

She brings the mace down but stops when Zee enters the base with the fudge she had promised to get. 

Zee:  Sorry it took so long, I forgot Barry's out looking for your doppelganger so I had to wait forever for them to-

Zee looks at the scene and sees Basila right about to hit you with a giant mace. She drops the fudge and tries to grab her wand, but Basila just hits her across the room, knocking her out. 

Y/n: Zee!

Basila: Wow, your taste in girls really sucks, huh? The girl was so slow she couldn't even try to hit me

You felt your blood boil as Basila talked smack about Zee and you felt yourself getting bigger and angrier. 

Y/n: I'll kill you for hurting her!

Basila gets fired up and shifts into a more gigantic version of herself

Basila: Now that's more like it!

You and Basila start an all-out Brawl inside the base. You try to punch her in the jaw, but she catches your fist and proceeds to you punch you in the jaw instead, causing you to fall to the floor. She then jumps onto your body and wails onto your face until you can't take it anymore and shrink down. After the smoke clears, what's left of you is a bloody, broken mess. You can feel your healing factor kicking in as Basila lets up and mocks you

Basila: Look at you, Y/n! You're pathetic. I didn't even have to do all of those crimes just to ruin you, you would've done that all by yourself regardless. Once a Gotham brat, always a Gotham brat

Y/n: Y-You're wrong!

You weakly pick yourself up and get into a fighting stance. Across the base, Zee slowly regains her consciousness and sees you about to go head-on against a giant clay monster

Y/n: I may be pathetic, but I'm not just a Gotham Brat...

You spit out your loose tooth along with some blood and ready a gigantic fist behind your back

Y/n: I AM PLASTIC MAN!

You launch yourself up and punched Basila with all your strength, finally knocking her down. You land on the floor next to her as she shrinks down to her regular form, both of you breathing heavily.

Y/n: I'm...sorry...

Basila: W-What?

Y/n: If I'm the reason...you're stuck like this...then I'm sorry...I'll make it up to you...I promise...

Basila: I...think that's all...I needed...

Basila then shuts her eyes as she loses consciousness. You're about to do the same when Zee runs up to you and holds you close to her chest.

Y/n: Zee?... You're okay?...

Zee: A few bruises, but I'll be okay...

Y/n: Good...I...love...

You couldn't get the full sentence out as you drifted to sleep thanks to Zee's sleeping spell. 

Zee: I love you too, dummy...

TIMESKIP A WEEK LATER

You're in your room getting ready to leave for school. You decide it's a good day to just swing over to the school now that you're feeling good as new and couldn't use your powers for a week. After the whole ordeal with Basila, she ended up confessing to everything and was promptly arrested. She did, however, keep your identity a secret, so that's a huge plus. You put on your costume and pack up your school clothes in your backpack. Maddie walks into your room holding your goggles

Y/n: Hey, good as new?

Maddie: Yeah, just had to replace the lenses but they're pretty much good as new

Y/n: Good, you're a lifesaver

Maddie: Pretty sure you were the lifesaver in that situation. Oh did Mom tell you we're taking in a troubled teen?

Y/n: Yeah, she told me last night. She said they'll be here by the time I get home from school

You put your goggles on and look at yourself in the mirror

Y/n: Lookin good! Alright, I'm gonna head off.

You grab both sides of your open window and slingshot out of your house, swinging from lampost to lampost until you see the school. You land on top of a building and change into your regular clothes and stuff your costume into your backpack. After making sure the coast was clear, you glided down and landed behind the bleachers next to the track field and made your way into the building, where Diana, Karen, and Zee were waiting by your locker

Y/n: Morning, girls

Diana: Salutations, noble hero

Karen: Ready for chemistry?

Y/n: Definitely, just gotta grab my books. Wait, how'd you know I have chemistry?

Karen: Downloaded everyone's schedules into my brain

Y/n: Never change Karen, never change

You go to unlock your locker when you and Zee look at each other, almost lost in each other's eyes until Karen snaps her fingers in front of you

Karen: Y/n, your books?

Y/n: Oh, right...

Karen: Jeez

After grabbing your books and shutting your locker, Kara, Babs, and Jess walk up to you guys

Jess: Morning!

Kara: Yo

Babs: So, Y/n? What's the update on the whole "Clayface" thing?

Y/n: How should I know? I just know she turned herself in. 

Babs: But she can always come back for revenge

Kara: Well, when that happens we'll actually be there to help take her down

Karen: Definitely! You can count on us!

Jess: We'll have your back whenever you need us, Y/n

Y/n: Guys, I'm telling you, I don't think we'll have to worry about Basila coming back for revenge

Zee: She seemed like all she really wanted was for Y/n to apologize to her

Diana: We'll put our faith into your words

Suddenly the bell rings, and everyone leaves to head to their respective classes, leaving you and Zee alone to walk to Chemistry class together.

Y/n: Ready?

Zee: Whenever you are

You hold Zee's hand as you make your way to chemistry class. Students stare at you both as you walk along the halls, but you both tune them out because they don't matter. You both just wanted to savor the moment. As soon as you reach Chemistry class, you and Zee separate and head to your respective assigned seats. Once the bell rings indicating that class has officially begun, Mr. Chapin walks in and announces something to the class.

Mr. Chapin: Alright students, I want you to know you're getting a new student who just transferred here to Metropolis High. 

Y/n: New kid? I should try to make them feel welcome...

You think about the new student while drinking your water as the student walks in and introduces herself, causing you to do a full spit take on Garth, who's sitting in front of you

Basila: My name is Basila Karlo, and I just moved to Metropolis, I hope we can be good friends!
