This kid probably won't show up until the second book, but here he is anyway.

He has a sad story.

He was the son of two nekos who were kidnapped by a gang of smugglers who will be introduced in the second book also. His parents hid him and kept him a secret for a while, but the smugglers soon found out about him and threatened to kill both the parents AND him. The distressed parents warned him to run away, and he did. The smugglers caught him and chased him, bringing his parents with them. He successfully hid, and when they couldn't find him, they decided to kill his parents...not knowing he was in earshot...and could see them.

His red collar was a gift from his parents. It's all he has left of them.

He still runs away from the smugglers, who are still searching for him.
