Abhay was not surprised by his realization. He knew it was going to come eventually. What surprised him more was the fact that how light he was feeling after it. He thought he will feel shocked after it but he didn't.
Perhaps it was the nearness of her that was created this calmness in him that made him accept the reality so easily. But whatever it was he loves his fireball.
She is his.
Only his.
Always had been, forever will be.
And he will never let her go because he was sure that he will not get a girl like her again.
He then looked at her who has closed her eyes and was taking deep breathes to calm herself. Her face looked flushed with anger and her nose has turned cute red in colour. This was the woman who has made him fall in love.
And he could give anything in the world just to let her by his side, even if it meant coming out with his darkest secret and accepting the truth from which he was running so hard. He now knew clearly what he wanted to do. He wanted her and he will make sure that he will have her, forever.
He tenderly kept his hands on her cheeks and bent his head a little to kiss her on her forehead ever so lightly.
"You my Fireball are the best thing that ever happened to me and I won't let you go anywhere. Thank you so much for understanding me without any words and for trusting me to this extent. I'm lucky to have you with me." He said and Vaish finally opened her eyes just to look in his.
Her amber brown eyes met his charcoal black ones and they saw the mirror of their feelings in them. This moment they knew that the love they are feeling are not one sided and that the other person feels the same.
Words were not needed to be said; for some feelings are expressed with eyes and they did it. A silent conversation passed on between the two most vocal persons.
"Shall we leave now? The night is almost over." Vaish said after some time.
"I don't want it to end." Abhay said, his forehead still touching hers.
"A new day has to start and for that the night must end." Vaish argued.
"Be with me in my new beginning, Fireball." Abhay whispered.
"I am with you, always." Vaish replied with a smile and felt him smiling too.
"Then I'm not worried about the night ending because a new day with you will always be full of surprises." Abhay said and gently kissed her forehead.
"We really need to go now, Mr. Developer. My friend won't like the idea of me being out so long at night." Vaish argued.
"But my friend will handle your friend perfectly and as of now they are busy with very important project of theirs." Abhay said smirking.
"Abhay, let's go now. Please." Vaish said.
"A little bit more time." He replied.
"We have to go for work tomorrow." She tried to remind him.
"Few more minutes."
"There is an important meeting tomorrow." She added.
"Our time."
"We can't." She attempted once again.
"Mine."
"Yours." She finally replied giving to his demand and he smiled enjoying his time with his lady love.

The next day both of them were full of positivity and a new energy. The whole staff noticed the sparks between them but didn't say a word for they were highly professional when it came to work.
Vaish though jumping happily inside can't get that flashback out of her mind and was more determined than ever to find the truth. A part of her wanted to start the investigation about Vegas right now but she was stopping herself for the sake of this project and also because it didn't felt right.
Something was missing. A big picture of the whole story was missing. She got a flashback but what happened after that was still mystery. The flashback was small but not insignificant. She now knew a bit more and felt closer to truth, to Mr. Stranger.
It was ironic that she got flashback while being on a date with Abhay. What was more ironic was the fact that she feels the same vibes from Abhay as she felt from Mr. Stranger. That's plain stupid.
May be that man had something in him to make her comfortable because however drunk she was she won't spend a night outside with a stranger who gave her bad vibes.
But what really did happen? How they ended up being married and if they did then why is he not searching for her? Is he also busy like? Or he has forgotten the fact that he got married? That is not possible. They exchanged wedding rings! Then how could he forget it. May be he is thinking of pretending to forget this marriage and don't want to stay married. This thought gave her relief but still she wanted to find the man and end this whole marriage situation.
Then comes Arjun in the picture; claiming to be Mr. Stranger. She doesn't know why but she feels like he is not Mr. Stranger; even if he keeps on telling it.
She got a flashback. She now knows something about that night. She is not that ignorant as she was earlier. She never heard Arjun's side of story, of what happened that night. She could hear his version and test him. May be hearing him say something about that night might give her some trigger.
She is almost sure that he is not what he claims to be, so he won't really know what happened that night. Also, if he is not Mr. Stranger then why is he claiming to be? What could be the reason because of which Arjun Shekhawat, the heir of Shekhawati heritage is playing this game with her?
What is there in it for him? What is he planning? And is he alone or are there more people involved in it?
Somehow she felt like there is a story behind every story, hidden so well, a big planning going on. She didn't know if it was just her overthinking but the past two and half months seemed so surreal. So many things happened; some good, some bad. But she didn't regret them a bit because everything leads her to this place, to Abhay, to this project.
She just wanted to clear everything for once and all. In next two weeks she is going to face the biggest challenges of her professional as well as personal life. She wasn't sure if she will win it or not but she will face these challenges with all her strength.
Her parents didn't raise a looser and she won't quit. She just needs to pay more attention and concentrate on important things in her life which always give her motivation.
Earlier it was her family and friends but now she also has Abhay. The man she loves more than life itself. Just his name brought a smile on her face. She was sure that with him by her side she can overcome any challenges.
The only thing that scared her was his reaction to her marriage. She prayed that he won't judge her for it. She was sure he won't but which man will accept a girl who got into a drunken marriage with a total stranger.
No, not Abhay. He won't judge her. At least, she hoped he won't. But still she needed to come clear out this mess and for this she needs to find Mr. Stranger.
But the question is how?
Who can help her?
Who?
Her chain of thoughts were broken when her secretary Sheena bought her a file that needed her attention and just like that she forced her mind to come out of it weird theories and focus on the work, for time being.

The day ended finally and Vaish was tired as hell but then Abhay entered her cabin.
He saw her tired face and realised that as the day of presentation is coming closer her workload is increasing and she is really getting stressed.
He can't see his Fireball stressing herself, after all he loves her and his lady love will never feel alone, not as long as he is with her.
Time to bring my Queen out of her misery; Abhay thought and a plan entered his head.
"Looks like I came on a wrong time. You are really tired." Abhay said. "It happens you know, with old age women tend to get tired easily and other stuff." He added just to get a reaction out of her and he wasn't disappointed, for the fire in her eyes which was dim earlier now lit with full passion, which was directed towards him.
"What do you mean by old age? For your information, I'm younger than you. I would have told you about my age but then again a lady never speaks about her age. My tiredness can be explained by the piles of work that I did earlier but how will you explain your haughtiness? I think this is the side effect of ageing in men. They tend to think themselves as God and pretend to be a know it all while in reality they are just sulking inside."
"Me? Sulky? Really Fireball? I just celebrated my thirtieth birthday. I'm in my prime age, nothing about it is bad. In fact, I feel fit as a player. You on the other hand are a totally different story."
"I'm also fit." Vaish argued.
"Prove it." Abhay said.
"I will."
"Come with me for an ice cream date. Your treat." Abhay added and Vaish's face frowned with confusion and then realisation.
He was doing this on purpose. He was trying to rile her up so that she can come out of her stress. He is trying to cheer her up in his own way. He even said that it was her treat so that she feels that she is doing a favor on him.
Abhay don't make me fall for you more than I have already fallen! There is only so much sweetness my heart can take. Oh God! How much I love this man! She thought.
"Ok! Mr. Developer. We are going for an ice cream date and yeah it's my treat but you have to keep me entertained. I should not feel bored at all." Vaish laid out her condition with a pretty smile in her face.
God! I will jump from a cliff is she asks me to do it with this killer smile on her face. Abhay thought.
"As you wish my queen!" He said and opened the door like a true gentleman he was.
Vaish blushed at his endearment and shyly walked while joining her hand with him. All the tension of the day, all the worries were put back in her mind, for now her attention was stolen was by the man she loves. Who was doing all the weird antics just so that she forgets her worries.
If this is how blissful you feel in love then she never wants to fall out of it nor that will she ever think about it.
She walked with him, leaving all her worries behind and hoping for a great evening.

Next week passed peacefully for these two lovebirds. Abhay's work was almost completed and he was now giving Vaish pointers for her big presentation.
Vaish was nervous, real nervous.
"Fireball, be yourself. Since when did you start getting nervous for these business meetings?"
"It's not a normal business meeting. It's meeting about the biggest project of my life. It's in front of Ms. Pooja Jindal. She is your aunt maybe that's why you don't know about her but she is hard to impress. She is a perfectionist and don't go around in circles. She won't be satisfied with anything less than perfection. I can't afford to make a mistake now, at this stage. Everything I worked hard for is at stake. I just don't want anything to go wrong."
"Fireball, I know my aunt is very strict. I know she won't take any lame excuses but I also know that she is a good judge of character. She will realise your hard work the moment she sees it. She knows how to appreciate good work and she will definitely realize your efforts."
"Our efforts. She will appreciate our hard work." Vaish corrected him and he sighed.
"Ok, Our efforts. And she will see it. I know her. She won't let you out of her sight once she knows the real you." Abhay tried to comfort her.
"She will?" Vaish asked still unsure.
"She will." Abhay assured her.

Next day Vaish came out of a meeting earlier. She saw Abhay working from her office and thought not to disturb him. As they say empty mind is house of devil, so once again her thoughts started bothering her; particularly about Mr. Stranger.
She was trying to join the points and find the missing link. Something big was missing. Who can tell her more about that night?
Who?
Her phone buzzed. She unlocked it only to see it was a message from Arjun, asking her some suggestion about interior for one of his hotel.
It was a normal thing, Arjun messaging her and asking her some suggestion but this time Vaish's mind thought of something else.
She could ask Arjun about that night. She now remembers something about that night. May be she could meet him and test him.
May be this way she could get some answers about her questions and also know his motive.
She texted him to meet her for lunch and he agreed immediately.

Vaish was now sitting in Arjun's restaurant waiting for him.
It was difficult to get out of her office without letting Abhay know. She knew he will definitely ask questions once she goes back but right now her focus was on finding her answers.
"Hey, Vaish! Sorry I'm a bit late." She heard Arjun's voice and smiled at him.
"Hey Arjun! It's alright. Thanks for coming on such a short notice."
"How are you, Vaish?" He asked after placing their order.
"I'm good. Your restaurant is very beautiful." Vaish complimented, looking around.
"Not mine, Vaish. It's under Shekhawati Group of Heritage. It's not mine." Vaish can't help but notice the detest in his tone when he mentioned the Shekhawati name.
But why? He was going to inherit the company in near future then why was he bitter about it?
Well everyone has their own issues and she was there to find answers to her own problems and not to go in unknown territory. So she kept quiet about it.
"Oh. How are things going at work?" Vaish asked trying to engage in casual conversation but Arjun's eyes narrowed.
"You didn't come all the way from your office to here just to ask me how I'm doing. So cut the chase Vaish and ask me what you have come here for?"
"What happened that night in Vegas?" Vaish asked directly without beating the bush.
Arjun was stunned for a moment but recovered quickly.
"Why are you asking that now? What changed?" He asked.
"Nothing. In fact everything became clearer than ever. I now know what I want and I want to clear this mess. So tell me Mr. Arjun Shekhawat, what really happened that night? How I ended up getting married to a complete stranger and how come I don't remember anything? How did you find about it?" Vaish laid her questions and Arjun's face showed no emotions but she could see nervousness in his eyes.
"You remember something?" He asked in a careful tone.
"It is not the answer to my question. Tell me what you know." Vaish said in a cold tone.
"I will tell you everything that I remember but I still don't have the proof. You will have to wait for one week to get that." Arjun said after few moments of silence.
"Just tell me what you know. That's all I want right now." Vaish said with finality in her tone.
"Ok. I will tell you what happened that night in Vegas." Arjun said and closed his eyes for going back in past.
