Abhay's POV :

I am the best!

And I am not kidding. Seriously. These people who call themselves geniuse can't solve this software malfunctioning in past twenty four hours and I did it in what... two hours?

Poor fellas.

May God bless their mind with intelligence. I know that they can't match my level but still this much negligence is bad.

Well, I am Abhay Singh. Twenty Nine years old. Most handsome man. Ladies lover or Charmer whatever thay call me. The best software designer of the country. Only son of Late Mr. Anuragh and Mrs. Priya Singh. I lost my parents in a car accident when I was eighteen and I don't like to talk about it. Coming back to present I looked at the man in front of me.

"Mr. Singhal, your software is now working perfectly. You can get it checked by any of your engineers working over here, that is, if they know how to operate!" I said leisurely while eating the sandwich which was served to me. Which by the way is just like the fellows working over here. Useless.

His expression remained grim. This man, in his fifties think that our whole generation is manners less and we don't know how to respect elders. Now, I greeted him when I came here but if he thinks that I am going to treat him all high and mighty than that's not happening.

"Mr. Singh, thanks for your services. We highly appreciate them. But that does not give you the right to insult my employees." He said, still shooting me a I-will-kill-you-right-now look. It doesn't work on me because I get it from my best friend everyday.

"Mr. Singhal, I am not sorry for telling truth. You are a good employer. I appreciate it. But you need to give chance to younger people in your company. Old is gold but we are not in golden era. This century is running on technology and giving chance to younger tech friendly employees will surely enhance your productivity." I told him truth.

His company has a policy to not include people below thirty in their important board meetings. These people if given chance can really prove themselves useful. He needs to realise that.

His face appeared to be in deep thoughts. Good. Old man should really think on this point.

"I will consider that, Mr. Singh. Thanks again for your services." He said.

My sandwich was now finished so I stood up and shook hands with him and left the room.

As I was passing  near the reception desk, I heard a screeching voice, calling my name.

"Abhayy, you will call me tonight, right?" The receptionist said while flashing me eyebrows. Her name if I recall correctly was Ria. She slipped me her number as soon as I entered the building and enquired about Mr. Singhal.

Now I am handsome and have my charms but this was way out of my style. Firstly, I don't romance while I am working. Secondly, I don't like women calling my name like this and making a big show of it.

I turned towards her and flashed her my devilishly handsome smile. She was flattered like the rest.

Girls I tell you!

"It's Mr. Singh for you. Remember it next time I come here for work." I said and walked out of the building not caring about the curses she was giving me.

I am cursed by woman so many times that I stopped counting. More than half of times it's because I don't respond to their flirtings. Rest of the times, I actually deserve it.

Not that I am complaining. I love ladies. I date them and treat them with respect but it all comes to one point.

What's the future of this relationship?

Which is a pretty useless question considering the fact that I made it clear in the beginning itself that I am not looking for the one.

I don't want commitment.  I don't want to be with one girl for the rest of my life. I don't want to be responsible and I definitely don't want to be answerable to anyone. I love the freedom I have and I can't give it up for anyone. So, no M word for me.

Now you know the basic things about me. Time to meet another important person in my life. My aunt, with whom I stayed for two years after my parents accident.

My maternal aunt, Ms. Pooja Jindal, is managing my mother's family business.

My mother was a successful businesswoman of her time and these two sisters carried forward the legacy started by my great grandfather. I am proud of her and her work. She was an inspiration for the other women out there.

My aunt loves me dearly and I love her too but sometimes she irritates me with her talks.

Like right now I know she will tell me two things.

One, I am not eating properly since I moved out. Second, I need to take over my mother's business.

The second thing is a bit secretive. Only a few people in the business world know that I am the heir to Jindal group of Industries. Another responsibility on my shoulders.

I always had a passion for software designing and so my aunt allowed me to pursue it but now she is feeling tired and wants me to take over.

I am not ready to take care of such a large business empire. I love what I am doing right now but I understand her too and so from past few months I have been thinking about listening to her and start paying attention to the business.

I entered her office and saw her standing by the window while sipping her green tea. She is really conscious about her health and that's why no one can say tell what her real age is by looking at her.

"Pooja Aunty! Your favourite nephew is here!" I said and made myself home at the sofa.

She looked at me and smiled.

"You are my only nephew but I love you Abhay." She said and asked her secretary to not let anyone disturb us and also bring some food for me.

See, she knows me so well!

She sat near me. "What is this Abhay you are becoming thin every time I see you! That's not good. Aren't you eating properly? I should take class of the maid who cooks for you! She is not cooking for you properly. Wait, I will fire her and send some good chef and..."

"Aunty aunty! Calm down. It's all okay. The maid is doing her work properly and I am in no way getting weak."

"No you are and I will fire her!" She is stubborn.

"No way I am going to let you fire her. She is what maid number seven or eight? You can't keep on firing the maids like this! I am all okay. I go to gym and I work out to keep my body in shape and my diet is advised by my gym trainer, so no firing of maid." I tried to reason her.

"So I need to fire your gym trainer!" She said and I sighed. Looks like its gonna be a long discussion.

***

After great persuasion she agreed not to fire anyone. I was just eating my pizza when she became serious.

Ah man! Serious talk coming right my way.

"Abhay, isnt it the time for you to take over the business empire and settle down?" She asked in a worried tone.

Settle down?
Its worse then what I thought!

She needs to be diverted from this topic because once she is at it then she will not stop until I really get settled down and thats not something I want.

"You are right aunt! I should be more serious in my life. Look how worried you are for me! That's not good. I am..." I tried to divert her attention.

"Dont try and divert the topic Abhay. You can't lure me into your sweet talks. It isn't about me. Its about you. You are really not taking care of yourself. You are running away from reality. You dont want to take over business because you are scared of letting down others. You dont want to get married because you are worried that if you love someone then that person will be taken away from you just like your parents..."

"Stop it right here aunt. You know I dont like it!" I put my pizza down and looked at her.

"I will start learning from you. I can't completely take over right now but I am ready to go there and about me settling down! Its not happening aunt. I dont want it. So don't bring it up again." I said it in a tone that left no space for discussion.

She just nodded.

"I just want you happy son!"

"I am happy!" I said and left from there after kissing her cheeks.

I need to talk to someone and forget that this conversation ever happened. Time to go and irritate my friend.

Here I come Mr. CEO !

***

"What are you doing bro? I am waiting from such a long time for you to pay attention to your one and only best friend but you dont care for me. I should not have come here." I told to the hot headed jerk in front of me. My bestfriend.

Rehan Irfan Siddiqui. The arrogant CEO, young business tycoon or top business tycoon and my one and only competitor in looks. Good thing is he dont care about them while I flaunt mine more than often.

"Its been only five minutes Abhay. Stop with your nonsense. I am actually working right now." He said still not looking away from his laptop.

"We aren't friends anymore. You don't realise my worth. It's over between us now. I will no longer lie to your mom about your eating habits nor will I ever take your side again in front of Rabiya Di!" I threatened him.

He looked up from his computer. Ah it worked. He is feeling threatened.

"Mom always finds out that you are lying and you never took my side in front of Rabiya di. So tell me what is it you want to talk about?" He knows that I want to talk.

Ofcourse he is my friend from childhood.

"I am going to start learning business from Aunt." I said.

He moved his eyebrows up.

"And?"

"And I am nervous about it! Okay I accept it. So many people will be working under me what if I fail? I never want that. I am happy with my life as software engineer. I am responsible only for myself. If I make a mistake then it only brings harm to me but now it wont be like that. My mistake can ruin life of so many people and I am not ready for it. Hell! I dont want to be a businessman. Why can't I just keep on doing what I am doing?"

"Why didn't you tell Pooja aunty that? She loves you and she will..."

"I know. That's the problem. She will not pressurize me but she has done so much for me. I saw it in her eyes today. The worry for me. The tiredness of running the whole empire. She dont deserve that."

"Then you must accept the fate." He stated obvious.

"But I dont want it. I am not ready for it right now."

"So why dont you tell her that you need more time?"

"Because today I saw some sort of determination in her eyes. She was not going to give up today. I just know it. She even brought my parents in it and went as far as asking me to settle down."

Now he got up from his comfortable chair. Finally I am getting complete attention.

"That's serious Abhay. She used two forbidden things. She is pretty serious." He said and leaned against his desk while facing me.

"Dont you think I know that? I am not  ready to spend my entire life like you. Behind a desk and always thinking about getting my company on the top! I dont want that kind of life."

"I enjoy what I do, Abhay! Its every one's personal opinion about how they want to live. I am satisfied with what I am doing right now. My professional life is a success." He reasoned himself.

"Exactly. You only have a professional life buddy! What about your personal life bro? Do you even have that? You have become a workaholic from past three years. Never dating anyone, not interested in a single girl out there! I am not telling you to become a player or anything but look at what you have become!"

He walked to the window and looked outside.

"I have my own reasons Abhay. I don't need any girl. No girl can match her."
He said and  smiled while closing his eyes.

Probably remembering that girl who has got his heart from last three years. He is in love but he doesn't even realise it. He searched for her but he can't find her. I hope he meets his  one and only soon. He needs her to come out of his shell.

"Ahem ahem bro! Come out of the dreams of my future sister in law!" I teased him.

"I wish Abhay. I wish I can find her just once because if I did then I wont let her go ever!"

"You will find her bro! But right now concentrate on my problem which is quite serious." I brought him out of his La la la land...

"There is no way out Abhay. Either you accept it or aunty will get you married to some business woman who will take care of it for you." He said.

This man. Never saying anything positive. I pray for the poor girl who will have to handle him in future. Who will take this arrogant devil?

"You wish bro! I am not going to settle down. Never." I said with full determination.

"You will find your match buddy! And I am waiting to sit and laugh at you the day she will over smart you." He said.

"Damn you!" I cursed him and got up from my place.

"Get out. I have some work to do!" He  replied and finally settled himself back to his work.

And that was all.

Looks like I have to become a businessman. Man I so hate this!

I wanted to tell you that soon I will be shifting to 3rd person's POV as I am more comfortable on that and also it will give idea about two person's feelings at the same time.
