Guilt.

Disappointment.

Frustration.

Anger.

Emptiness.

Lonliness.

These were the words describing what he was feeling at the moment.

Guilt for not being there for her.

For being a disappointment to her.

Frustration; for the way things turned out to be.

Anger at himself. For what he did. How can he? How can he be so irresponsible?

Emptiness for the first time after his parents left him.

Lonliness for not being able to share his feelings with her.

With his aunt. Who has been there for him when he needed her the most.

And this is how he paid for her kindness?

How can he be so irresponsible?

Added to that is ....

"Hey bro!" He heard Rehan's voice and looked up to see his best friend entering his apartment with hands full of food parcel.

Any other time this would have made him happy but now he felt nothing and when he saw it. He just smiled at his friend.

Rehan noticed him. He knew that his friend was not alright. For when Abhat Singh refused for food it means things are really serious.

"What happened bro?" He asked, concerned seeing his happy go lucky friend upset.

"You don't know?" Abhay asked, feeling doubtful because Rehan was close to his aunt too. They shared deep business advices with each other and personally she treated Rehan same as Abhay.

After things got sorted between Rehan and Sanaa; she invited whole of the Siddiqui family for dinner at her house. It was nice to see her happy. This were one of those rare family moments where she wished that she too had a family.

Rehan, Rabiya, Armaan, little Arhan and now Shenu! All were like her children!

But he and Rehan were the ones who were closest to her. So it can't be possible that Rehan doesn't know.

"I just heard that Abhay Singh is cut off from Jindal group of companies, from Mrs. Aarti." Rehan replied.

He remembered the call he received after Abhay's  cursed voice messages. Mrs. Aarti is Pooja aunty's secretary from so many years and so she knew Rehan well.

Abhay closed his eyes once more. Trying to hide the effect of these words on him.

Cut from the Jindal group of companies. That was not it. That didn't even matter to him. He was doing well on his own. Ofcourse he felt that he was a disappointment for his aunt. But that was not the reason for his sorrow.

Cut from the life of Pooja Jindal.

That was what that triggered him. He lost the trust she had on him. His behaviour was so irresponsible.

"And I know that it can't possibly make you this upset because you don't even want that company. So tell me the reason because of which Pooja aunty took such a huge step." Rehan said and Abhay sighed.

"She was training me from past one year. There was this conference that I have to attend. A very important one for our company. I was the one who has to lead it but I wasn't there! Why because I was sleeping like a pig!

Why? Because I was working on developing a hacking system last night and slept late because of that. I was too tired. I thought not to sleep but I don't know how I fell asleep. No alarms no reminder. Tiredness of journey and the over night work I did, got better of me and I slept.

It looks like a small mistake but for my aunt it's like a reality check. A reminder that I can never be a responsible businessman. This deal was very important for our company. Luckily aunt managed it with her manager but she is very disappointed with me. Hell! Even I'm disappointed with myself.

I admit I find this business meetings boring but this was really heights!" Abhay explained and Rehan sat with him.

"This made her so angry? This meeting must be so important.
Otherwise she won't cut you off like this." Rehan said.

"Dude! Its not the first time I'm ignoring business. It's difficult for me you know. To concentrate on something I don't like. May be she is finally realising that I'm not the one for it. I'm not suitable to handle the business empire grandpa created. For which she and mom worked so hard." Abhay said.

"Abhay! You look confused. Are you or are you not sad that you are not going to inherit Jindal group of companies? Do you trust yourself to take care of it?" Rehan asked the main question and Abhay closed his eyes to think about the answer.

"No. I'm not disappointed about the company. I don't think I'm capable nor am I interested. To be frank I don't trust myself. I'm disappointed for being a failure to my aunt. She is best at what she does and I feel like I am the biggest failure to her." Abhay said and clenched his fists remembering his recklessness.

How could he even do that? How could he be so irresponsible? And whay he did afterwards....

Damn!

Don't even go there. It's done and forgotten.

Already things are messy. No need to complicate it further.

He thought and looked at Rehan who was staring at the wall.

Rehan was a man of few words. He never expressed himself nor he comforted others with words. But hin being there was the biggest support for Abhay.

"Give her sometime. She loves you. No doubts. She will accept you. In the mean time try and be responsible towards whatever you do in your life. May be not in business but in your own choice of career. Make her proud. You are never a failure for her or anyone else. Never think in that way." Rehan seriously spoke.

In simple words it meant. I trust you. Make everyone feel proud.

Abhay felt guilt again for not being responsible. He was being a coward but this was the last time. He will be more responsible from now.

"By the way Angel is coming here. She wanted to speak to you." Rehan said and Abhay smiled feeling greatful for the new friend he got.

Abhay observed the smile on Rehan's face. The relaxed look was enough to give him an idea that he was thinking about his Angel. The only person in the world who can make him express himself and get the words out of him.

How he wish his life could be like that but could it be now? After what he did!

They heard a doorbell and Rehan stood up to answer the door.

As soon as he saw her, he hugged his Angel and kissed her forehead. She smiled.

"Missed you." They both said at the same time and laughed.

"How was the reunion?" He asked.

"Beautiful but Tiring." She said and he nodded.

"Vaishali?" He asked.

"I'll tell you afterwards." She said.

"How is he?" She asked.

"See for yourself." He said and she nodded, getting away from him.

"Hey Abhay!" She said and sath near Abhay.

"Hey Shenu." He tried to smile at her.

Sanaa looked at Rehan and they shared a look in their eyes.

Rehan understood that she wants to talk to Abhay privately and so he excused himself for some call.

The understanding between this two simply amazed Abhay. How these two were able to communicate with each without words was beyond his understanding.

"You know a very important person in my life disappointed me in a very bad way. So bad that I was broken for a long time. It was only after meeting Rehan; I realised that I too can be happy. That person was and still is very important in my life. More important than my parents. Him leaving me was the worst thing that happened to me." Sanaa said and Abhay was surprised to know about her past. She or Rehan never discussed it with anyone.

"I thought that he has been so reckless, so careless. That he doesn't understands me a bit and I was so hurt because it was him who betrayed me. I have expectations from him that he will never fail me. I trusted him; our relation yet he broke it up for a silly reason. And so I decided not to forgive him ever." She said and Abhay stilled.

"But as soon as I saw his face; I can't stop myself from thinking about the good times we had and so I decided to give him a chance. You know why?" She looked up at him.

"Because you love him more than yourself." Abhay answered and Sanaa smiled.

"Because he is an important part of my life and I'm incomplete without him." She said while smiling.

"We can never abandon people we truly love. Who are an important part of our life! And you matter to Pooja aunty a lot. No mistake of yours can make her stay away from you for a longer time. So don't worry about it." Sanaa said and Abhay smiled. This time really.

"You are the best Shenu. He should know how lucky he is to have you." Abhay said.

"Rehan knows that." Sanaa said.

"I'm not talking about Rehan." Abhay said and this time Sanaa smiled and hugged him.

"So Abhay now food is getting cold so I better serve it soon. Now go freshen up and meet me at dining table." She said and pushed him towards his room.

"Kabir is lucky to have you." Rehan said after he entered the kitchen where his Angel was heating the food.

"Just the way I'm lucky to have him." She replied while serving the food in plates.

"Then why are you not forgiving him?" He asked.

"He needs to earn it." She simply replied and he made her sit on kitchen counter.

"I'm jealous you know. You give everyone more time than me." He said while making a cute annoying expression.

She kissed him on his cheeks.

"Now happy?" She asked.

"Nope." He replied.

She kissed him near his lips but not a proper kiss.

"Now?" She asked and felt him smiling.

"Nope." He said between his smile.

She closed the distance between their lips and looked in his eyes.

He smiled and claimed her lips.

The kiss was magical as always. Every moment with her was special. Every kiss was wonderful and every touch was powerful.

"I love you." She said in between their kiss.

"Love you too." He replied and gently helped her out of the kitchen counter.

"Now we have to go or the food will get cold again. Abhay needs to eat." She said and he nodded.

The two of them finished the dinner as Sanaa already ate with her friends. The conversation was lighter and Abhay was back to his normal mood.

"So Abhay you are not working for any other company right now?" Sanaa asked.

"Yup Shenu. Though I have some small appointments lined up but nothing big." He said and looked at her expecting to say something more.

Sanaa though for a while. She was thinking about it from the time she heard Vaish's problem.

She never told Vaish and Abhay about each other as both were dramatic and so she wanted to avoid the meeting of these two. But looks like it can't be avoided now.

"Umm... I would like a favour from you." She said hesitantly. Even Rehan looked up at her.

"Anything for you Shenu." Abhay encouraged her.

"A friend of mine needs some of your help in software programming." She finally said and looked up to see curiosity in his charcoal black eyes.
