||. CHAPTER 8 : ESCAPE .||
Log 123, 15th December, Year 3391
President, we have managed to capture P14-3 from Planet 14. As much as we have expected, she would be able to shift from a mermaid to human form, only when she wishes too. Specimen P14-3 has her tongue being cut off because of the melody she had sung to a few of our researchers. To prevent any further havoc in MR 91-12, we have decided to take her voice away. Now, we will be able to transport her back to Sa'ne for further experiments. Record 1 was taken earlier, a week ago and it had proven that she would able to drive any men with her melody to death. We had to inject Specimen P14-3 with L56 to ensure that she is numb to all of her senses. Other than that, we have other reports filed from last three weeks that the creature in Planet 14 is a resemblance of the sirens in the sea back on Earth during the 15th century. To explore more of her species means it would be similar to bringing history back from Earth. Planet 14 must be destroyed in order to ensure the safety of Mars. If these inhabitants found their way to Mars, we would not stand a chance to live alongside them. Alright President, the time now is 18:45 and P14-3 has been awake from her sleep. We will be starting off with the first trial of experiments on our way back. Hope to see you soon. Good Day, President.

"Authorization required. Please try again later." The inhuman voice echoed through the whole Sa'ne. Rachael brushed her hair nervously as she began to punch in numbers she could think off, trying to drive the system of Roaming 95 to her own personal database. Arthur was by her side as they both sat down on the ground, trying to figure out all the numbers, including the researchers' portfolio through some of the dark archives they have collected earlier. None of the new researcher's codes match the system, even the President himself. Arthur began to wonder about all the possibilities as he dug into the older archives, reading the portfolios of some of the known researchers.
Stefan, on the other hand had been busy staring at the siren. Her long blue hair floating in the water, fish like eyes staring deep into Stefan eyes while the gills on her face keep moving as bubbles began to pop out of it. He chuckled softly at the sight, humming the melody over again and again. The tail of the siren kept beating the water in a soft rhythm as Ranveer saw the water spilling out of her container. He took a step closer, standing next to Stefan who hissed for a moment, growling and then calmed. Chen shot his brother-in-law a curious look. He had seen him laughing, giggling and yelling nonsense, but not growling and hissing like an untamed beast. As he reached out to grab hold on his shoulder, Stefan turned around abruptly, growling at Chen, mumbling in gibberish as he reached out biting his fingers, blood forming on it. Chen let a soft yell only to earn laughter from Stefan's lips. When the blood was pouring out, Stefan rushed over to the unopened door and began writing something with his blood, causing the siren to wriggle her silver fish tail in excitement.
"There is no way to open in!" Arthur scoffed as he heard the blaring of the alarm in Sa'ne. "Damn it! We triggered something in the system, Rach! Do something!"
Rachael looked through the files as she typed nervously into the pad. Ranveer held onto his weapons as he looked around the place, his eyes filled with fear. Rachael scrolled through the older archives as she growled at the lack of data. It is impossible for her not being able to hack into this system. She hissed and began to swipe through some of the files. There would be a way. Considering how bad things are now, she wouldn't mind taking the risk. Punching into a few other buttons, Rachael heard a louder blaring sound across the place. The colour of the lights turned red as she heard the hissing sound of the doors of every room being opened. Chen and Ranveer both stood back as they studied the surroundings, watching as different creatures being released, all captured from different planets. At the edge of Sa'ne there were the sound of human screaming in excitement as they barged out of the door.
Once the door for the siren was opened, Stefan was the first to barge in. He ran towards the confinement where the siren was. Her fingers trailing onto the glass of her container. Stefan chuckled seeing the sight of her as he placed his palms onto the container, the dried blood from his finger trailed across the glass as the siren smiled. The creatures from different planets raced towards Rachael who was staring in surprised at the different species Sa'ne has confine. They stood closer to her as she made her step backwards, her back, meeting Arthur's chest who wrapped around his sister tightly. Chen was ready to fire at one of the creatures, but Rachael shook her head violently, protesting at it.
"Arthur, go in and help appa with the systems. He would be needing some help with the container. I will handle it here." Rachael suggested as she held onto her brother's palms tightly, not really sure if she is making the right choice this time.
A few of the humans were already screaming from the other corner of the room as they ran away the minute, they noticed those creatures. Arthur was about to protest, but Rachael assured him that she would be fine. Taking in deep breathes, Rachael looked at the creature who was leaning close to her. She had the face of a leopard, spots cleared on her face as two long tail swirled on the ground dangerously, one rattling at its own pace, the other work as the centre of gravity for her. Her eyes were golden almost similar to the gold plates back on Earth. Ranveer dared not make a move as he slipped into the confinement, ready to help Arthur with it. Rachael dropped the weapons from her palms, removing those from her pockets and dropped them out.
"Get her out! Get her out!" Stefan yelled frantically as he pulled his son's arms tightly. "She needs to be free! Hurry!"
Arthur hovered towards the keys. There would be no time for code cracking since the alarm had been rung. The maximum amount of time they had would be approximately fifteen minutes before the armies began to gather at Sa'ne ready to fire at them. His black eyes kept on focusing on the pad, but his mind was worried about Rachael. Where did she get the courage to face those creatures – he did not know. Arthur motioned for Chen to remove the wires from the other side of the lab while he gestured for Ranveer to deactivate the system on the other side. The wires were well built by the designers. They were combined wires but separated in ways only certain researchers would know. Since he had a little experience on it, he would be able to finish this job easily. On the count of three, Arthur signalled for both the older men to do their part as he cut the wire under the pad with a pen knife, causing the door of the container to open as water began spilling out of it, the siren falling onto Stefan's strong grip.
While the water was drenching the whole place, Stefan laughed as he giggled and held onto the siren in his arms. He stared into those fish eyes happily, her tail swatting around the place as her gills began to disappear from her face. Her fish eyes changed into normal human eyes. They were sky blue with a few stars decorating at the side of it. Slowly, her tail disappeared, and her body was slowly covered in scales. She wasn't fully human like, but she was more human than when she was in the water. Her body was decorated with beautiful silver like scales, shimmering under the labs of the confinement. Stefan chuckled at the sight of it as he reached out, holding onto her cheeks. Strangely, the siren smiled at it as she brushed his cheeks affectionally.
"Rachael!" Arthur whispered before he turned his way, heading towards the door, Chen trailing from behind.
"You have no idea how much we suffered down here, human!" The creature screeched, her tail tightened onto her neck as Rachael held her hands high up in the air.
"I don't know what they did to you," Rachael admitted gasping for air as she closed her eyes. "I know you..."
"You wouldn't know!! Chemicals!! Electrics!!" Another creature growled from the back as it's bat like wings flapped eagerly, snake-like tongue slithered out angrily. "You humans are so arrogant that you believe can confine us!!"
"Rach!" Arthur screamed seeing the sight of it. "Put her down! Please!" He begged as he ran towards the creature only to be surprised when there was a string of beads reaching out towards the creature like a flying sword, cutting it's skin with it.
The creature hissed angrily as she dropped Rachael on the ground. Her purple eyes stared towards the direction where the siren was walking out with Stefan laughing by the side. Rachael breathed in before standing up to see the creature next to her bowing the minute the siren drew an invisible picture in the air, her fingers producing sparkles as a needle was formed from her scales. Without hesitation, Rachael headed over to her brother's direction, embracing him tightly in the arms. The siren left Stefan as she walked towards the creatures who bowed towards the siren. It was then the sound of cocking guns were heard from the back.
"Watch out!!" Chen warned as he noticed the armies running from the other side.
The siren looked up. Her fish like eyes glowed silver as claws formed on her palms. There were sharp like the thorns of roses as she drew sparkles in the air, bead like liquid formed in the air. It took the shape of a map, something Rachael couldn't quite make out of. The creatures who were bowing looked at the map before turning around, facing the group of humans. The siren snapped her fingers as the creatures immediately charged forward towards the place. Turning around, the siren turned towards Stefan, reaching out to hold onto his arms. She looked directly into his eyes before Stefan began to mutter something gibberish again, singing into a tune, but this time, they all got what he meant.
"Return me to where I came from and I shall free you from all your misery." Stefan sung as he grinned, his blue eyes stared nowhere in particular. "Please." He added.
Arthur, Chen and Ranveer turned towards Rachael who tilted her head to look at the siren, nodding. "I can. But I need to get my ship first. I can't just magically open a portal. I am not magical."
Chen took a glance at his brother and back to his niece as he reached out clasping her shoulders. "I will be here. Ranveer, go with her. She needs an extra pilot to fly the ship. Just in case. I will head out to permit your departure."
Rachael nodded at his words and turned to look at the siren, gesturing her to follow them. Rachael headed towards the opposite direction of Sa'ne, her fingers running onto her G-Tab, searching for the fastest route from here. Silently, she was happy that there was a really short route towards the place. Taking a sharp corner from where she was, Rachael pushed a door opened, the siren trailing behind her as she held onto Stefan close. She doesn't seem harmful to Rachael, in fact she noticed that the siren was actually taking care of her father. Rachael never knew what it meant, but when she realised that the siren wasn't talking, she did know that something would be wrong somewhere.
Upon reaching to her ship, Rachael punched into the numbers of her ship before stepping aside for everyone to enter. Then, she jumped in, locking the door from the inside as she headed over to the driving seat. "Ranveer," She called out, "You know how to use the R 56 right?"
"R what?" Ranveer exclaimed.
"Wait, you didn't? I thought all captains are supposed to know?" Rachael questioned as she punched in some numbers, firing up the engine.
Ranveer shook his head. "No. I am in charge of driving. I never take up lessons on the Base Flights. Base Flights are different from just driving normal space ships. Now, let me drive and you do the shooting, if you must. Whatever R if that means."
Rachael smirked. "Alright. Switching positions." She stated before the seats were shifted, and Rachel grabbed hold onto the handle of her ship. "Taking off." She muttered and adjusted her headphones. "Tower 21, permission for LS 2 to take off. I repeat. Permission to take off."
"Permission granted, LS 2. Have a safe journey."
Ranveer punched into the button as LS 2 began to take off, shooting itself out into the space while Base 95 seemed to slowly disappeared. From the back of the place, Arthur was sitting next to his father, watching as the siren slowly shifted the beads in front of Stefan's eyes. Stefan did not move. He only smiled, his blue eyes shifted according to the movement of the beads and once in a while he would hum in gibberish. Arthur knew that this siren would not bring harm to him or his sister, but returning to Planet 14, wouldn't it mean killing them all? He shifted his gaze towards his father. Will he even be sane if they have returned the captured siren? Or would he still remain in daze? While he was thinking, he stumbled forward when something seemed to have slipped passed the ship. Arthur felt the slimy palms on his arms, turning to see that the siren had captured him before he managed to fall off. Rachael must be right – not all creatures are evil.
"What was that?" Arthur questioned when he heard his sister mumbling about deploying something.
"Well, Hot Shot is trying to shoot us. I need to get him off our ass, so if you mind, just stay silent." Rachael stated as she fired another shot out. "Ranveer, prepared H 34."
"H 34 prepared and ready to fire." Ranveer responded as he took a sharp turn to the right, heading towards where the map is taking them.
Rachael transferred the driving systems in the ship towards the fight systems as she locked Jonathan's ship into her target. She itched to kill the boy, but now isn't a good time and probably allowing him to die in space would be the last thing she wanted. Putting her target, a little amiss, she shot H 34 right onto the left wing of Jonathan's ship as the side broke, causing the ship to fall to the right. Once she had made sure that Jonathan was out of her way, she transferred the driving systems back to Ranveer who made their way towards Planet 14. Rachael turned back to look at the siren. Her silver scales sparkling under the lights in her ship, her father busy staring into the beads. How did things became so mess up? She wondered. Only when she did saw the smile of assurance from the siren's face did she looked ahead, coming face to face with the large blue Planet 14. Gasping at the beauty of it, she turned to look at Ranveer.
"Welcome to Planet 14."
