[N & MJ] Coloring books
As I sat down at the small table waiting for the shorty to return with the coloring books, I turn the small radio on. I hear footsteps and turn around in time to see him holding two coloring books and a box of crayons.
"Hey Nadwe! I got the coloring books and some crayons!"
"Awesome."
"Did you turn the radio on?"
"Yeah, I thought it would be nice to listen to something while we color."
"Alright! Hey do you know when Meme will be back and when Joocie is taking me home?"
"Why? Do you want to leave so soon?" I chuckle.
"NO NO-"
"Calm down Muffin I'm just joking."
"Alright whatever you say Nad."
Muffin puts down the crayon box and coloring books in the middle of the small table and sits down, eager to color. Probably out of the lines. It drives me crazy when the coloring is out of the obvious drawn lines. Muffin starts taking the dullest color crayons I have ever seen while I take bright colors. We start drawing and doodling in/ or as muffin does it, out of the lines.
About the time we were halfway done with our drawing, the radio glitches a lot. But it comes back with a message.
"Stay inside your homes at all times. A virus has been exposed to people. If your are inside your home, grab a gas mask to prevent the deadly virus from reaching you. It has this misty smoke like texture-"
Then it cuts off. I look over at muffin to see him actually paying attention for once. "I know where some gas masks are. They are in Meme's lab. But they are behind the random door."
"How the hell do you know this Muffin?"
"I may or may not have picked the lock when he wasn't looking."
"Were you curious?"
"Well obviously."
We take our time making it to Meme's lab. It's as if we could care less about the virus honestly. Muffin shows me the room and opens the door. He really was that nosey. He grabs a mask and hand sit to me while putting another one on. I strap mine on whole Muffin steps out the door frame and closes the door to the room.
We make our way to the table again and sit down in our original spots. Except this time there was no light on. We just sat in the darkness. Eventually my eyes adjusted and I started focusing on the halfway done colored drawing in front of me. Muffin was already scribbling on his paper. I grab some crayons, and pick up where I left off.
"When in disbelief, just color I guess."
