PERSONALITY
Delia has sympathy for anyone or anything that hurts; sick plants, hungry animals, and friends in need. At times she'll give away the strength and emotional security she needs to help others. She possesses good intuitions and a seemly bottomless understanding of other people, yet her sensitivity can be her weak point. Delia is impressionable to each passing influence and susceptible to sob stories. Intellectually Delia is very curious and likes to explore the unusual and hidden. Although she can be impractical, even lazy, at times she is also capable of hard work when it is about something she truly cares about. She has an intense imagination and can appear addicted to daydreaming and strives to make the current world closer to her own unique version of acceptance and friendship.

Because of the way she is compassionate and understanding she exerts a unique feeling onto her peers. She lacks the self confidence to be a leader but is great as acting as a guide. She has an instinct for finding the easy way out. Delia is a big bundle of feelings. She feels intense bliss when relaxing with a loved one but the opposite is just as true. She can suffer great depths of sadness that most people can't handle during hard times. Because of this she's learned to bounce back like a rubber ball when people try and put her down.

BACKSTORY
At a young age Cordelia's father, Thomas, was killed in World War II during the Allies invasion on Sicily. Her Mother, Anne-Marie, was devastated and couldn't find a job even with more women going into the workforce. And so like many families did, her Mother gave her away to an orphanage because she could no longer support the two of them. Cordelia didn't even find out she was a siphoner until her 14th birthday when another girl named Kathleen Jamison moved in. They fell in love and one night while holding hands Delia siphoned magic from Kathleen. Her lover than explained that she was a Vampire. They kept loving each other in secret until one day on Delia's 16th birthday they were discovered by the other older, homophonic, kids at the orphanage.

As they tried to drag the two girls away Kathleen was forced to reveal that she was a Vampire trying to protect her love. Unfortunately some of the kids had found out about her being a Vampire because of her feeding habits on their friends. They had vervain on them and forced Kathleen to watch as they beat Cordelia to death and then drove a stake through her heart in Cordelia's last memory as a living creature. She later woke up naked in a slum as a new heretic. As memories flooded in Delia found out Kathleen had been feeding Cordelia her blood and then compelling her to forget.

Cordelia mourned Kathleen for years and years until she finally found peace. She had mainly been living off selling artwork and singing on the streets. Other than that Cordelia avoided society for many years until word spread about a supernatural school. Curious, she moved from Britain to America in hopes of a new start. She was enrolled in the Salvatore school and frequently saw Emma to help her adjust to being in social settings.

She has ptsd from how she died and Kathleen's death which is mainly triggered from seeing violence, people touching her without warning, and loud, sudden noises. She also has a whimsical higher pitched voice.
