Wow, a great motif and a nice design of the ultramen, they definitely paid it off with the first episode.

The brotherly bond does show in the main characters: Katsumi and Isami.

Isami is the genius who builds the Kaiju Finder stuff. Katsumi is the guy who puts family first. Their mother disappeared.

We're also introduce to a new Kaiju, some flame bone monster. I'm too lazy to say the actual name, so it's best if anyone comments on the name.

The brothers save some civilians then due to TOY MARKETING they have power to memorize every single line to transform into their respective Ultraman: Rosso and Blu.

The first thing I noticed was more usage of actual conversation. Previous installments kept it at a low level. But R/B makes sense with this as it's supposed to be a brother bond, so it's important for them to communicate.

It does have a comedic moment, and it executed pretty well, along with the music cutting off at the right time.

Overall, a great start. It's just sad that it's not 50 episodes. But then again, it might change since Tsuburaya won that lawsuit.

I can't believe Ginga was 11 episodes long.

A talk on the themes:

The opening theme feels kinda underwhelming, but that'll change overtime. The single is coming on the 18 according to CDJapan, so access to the full song is closer than we think. The only complaint I have with this song is the lyrics' inclusion of "Ultraman R/B" in it, but I'll let that slide. What's great about the theme song is that it's not sang by Voyager, but instead Masayoshi Ooishi, an anime vocalist.

Thank goodness Voyager isn't doing a theme song for R/B. It's was getting tiring for a while now.

The ending theme, is good. Suzuko Mimori (Mimorin) is probably the reason why. The song is called "Yumo Hikou".
