I Don't Like Roses - Theyna

Spoiler Review!

Theyna is definitely one of my favorite OTPs and this book portrayed Theyna perfectly! I couldn't believe Fangirl_034 was a first time author. The dual POVs were a really good contribution, because we could see how both Thalia and Reyna feels about each other.

I particularly liked the part with the presents from Percy and Annabeth. Each present was well thought out and something the characters would like; for example, the Superman shirt for Jason.

Annabeth figuring out that Thalia liked Reyna was also very in character. Thalia was clearly confiding in her best friend, and that moment was adorable.

Reyna carrying Thalia to the house was very cute, as Thalia was tired and laying her down on the bed was adorable. My heart broke for Thalia when she saw Reyna talking to a guy at the park. She seemed so distraught and upset, which isn't like Thalia. Then Thalia acting happy for Reyna's sake made my heart sink.I

I loved the confession part; it all happened in an argument with Reyna when all of a sudden Thalia blurted out, "Because I love you!" My heart stopped waiting for Reyna's reaction, which I was happy to read was mutual. The kiss was very nice to read after all the build up.

I loved how Thalia and Reyna both don't like admitting their feelings, which is what took them so long to confess. It makes the story really cute.

Reyna being sick and Thalia looking after her was one the most adorable things I've ever read. Again, it was very in character for Reyna to be stubborn about it and then Thalia forcing her to go to bed.

The plot twist was very sudden and unexpected. When Thalia suddenly blacked out after hearing a screeching sound, I was terrified for her. I felt very bad for Reyna because she thought it was all her fault, so I was glad Jason was there to comfort her.

Thalia waking up with Reyna over her bed was very heartwarming and cute. It makes me ship Theyna even more!

The last chapter so far was very sweet, with Thalia and Reyna watching movies after coming home from the hospital. I am excited for the next chapter to come out, and I will be reading it as soon as I can.

Overall I think this book was amazing and really captured my image of Theyna. One thing that I believe could be improved was the speed of the plot; I think the plot moved on slightly too quickly. Maybe having a slower plot could draw more readers to your book. But overall, great job!
