Videogame night, was on Fridays. This day happened to be a Friday. Jason, Percy, Annabeth, Nico, Will, Grover and Piper met up at the Poseidon cabin to play video games. As Nico wasn't really all comfortable with anyone joining him in the Hades cabin, Piper, Will, and Annabeth had siblings, Jason's cabin had like nothing and Grover was a satyr. So Percy's it was. Piper got there first.

"Hey Perce, what are we playing tonight?" She sat on a beanbag chair in front of the TV they all shared.

"Probably Mario Kart."

"You love that game too much." She grinned at him as he lay by her on the carpet.

He returned the grin. "It's a classic."

"Well we're here so let's play shall we? The others can join when they get here."

"Sure," he sat up to turn on the console and TV and grabbed the controls. He handed her a Wii mote, "I, as always, am first player."

She rolled her eyes but smiled nonetheless. "Let's just race, Jackson."

The race started up after choosing their characters and karts. Still no one else showed up.

"I'm gonna beat your ass, McLean."

"We'll see about that."

The race started and they instantly started shoving each other, trying to get the other to loose their grip on the remote and throw their character out of the racing track. Percy was gaining on Piper very much when she tried to shove him again and fell over on his lap, her face centimeters from his.

"Sorry." Her voice sounded breathless.
"No worries." As did his.

They stayed that way for who knows how long. They'd both lost the race ages ago. They only jumped apart because the door flew open and Grover came in. Eventually followed by the rest of their friends. Throughout the rest of the evening, they didn't stop sneaking shy glances at each other.
