It wasn't a second before everybody started whispering about Percy's and Nico's joined hands the moment they saw them. Annabeth was with her siblings far off but it wouldn't be long before the whispers reached her ears and she'd notice too.

When they reached her, Percy knew she'd hard because of her stiff posture and the fact that she wouldn't look at them.

"Annabeth." Percy said. "We need to talk..."

She nodded, "Okay. Let's go." She got up and quickly led us to Zeus' fist in the woods.

"You like Nico." She finally looked Percy in the eyes. Then turned to Nico. "You like Percy." Exasperated, she turned around to look at the boulders, "Gods. How could I not have seen it? Since when was this?!"

"When I was 15." Percy.

"Since I was 10." Nico.

She turned to Percy, "Then why were you with me?!"

"I'm so sorry. I hadn't realized he was the one I had feelings for until later. And I was scared so I directed them to you but they weren't intended for you. I'm sorry Annabeth."

Both boys were expecting her to slap him or hit him or snap or something like that but not for her face to soften and say, "Are you sure this is what you want? There's no going back Percy."

He squeezed Nico's hand and felt him squeeze back gently, "I'm sure."

Annabeth continued to look in his eyes for a while then, "Okay." She took a step back and looked at Nico, "Keep him in line and safe."

Nico nodded, "Of course."

Annabeth sighed, "Jut don't forget I'm here, Seaweed Brain, okay?"

"Of course not Wise Girl." He held out his free hand to shake. "Friends?"

Annabeth smiled sheepishly and shook hands, "Friends."
