(Before Jason's and Percy's switcheroo)

"Reyna! Wait up!" Jason ran to try and catch up to the other praetor. She turned and a smile warmed her face.

"Jason, hey." She said as he finally caught up to her. "Did you need to tell me something?"

They continued on, walking closely together. "Considering it's your birthday. Yes, yes I do." He brought out a rose. "Happy Birthday Reyna."

She took the rose, her smile widening. "Thank you."

"Also, I have lunch plans with you."

"When was this decided?"

"Right about the time I packed lunch and set it up on the hill."

"Then let's have lunch."

They walked in silence the rest of the way to hill. It was a comfortable silence. Reyna liked that they were comfortable with each other. When they reached the top, she immediately noticed the blanket spread out on the grass and a picnic basket, there were two plates and cups to accompany them. She sat on one side and Jason on the other. He immediately begun taking put the contents of the basket.

"Do you want turkey, ham or tuna?"
Jason looked up from the basket.

"Turkey would be nice."

"Turkey it is."

He made her the sandwich and one for himself. Of course, he made more later. One sandwich couldn't possibly be enough. They ate and talked, laughing at appropriate times and so on. They hadn't realized it was late when the sun started sinking. Jason remembered the cupcakes. He brought one for himself and one for Reyna. He handed her one with a candle.

"Happy Birthday," he said again as he smiled. He brought out a lighter and lit the candle. "Make a wish."

She blew out the candle.

"What'd you wish for?"

She looked at him with a spark in her eye, "I think it came true already. Besides, I can't say."

He leaned back on the grass, "True." He then eyed her sitting down. "Join me on the grass?"

Reyna smiled and lay beside him with her head on his chest. They watched the sunset together and her wish came true.
