Jason was freaking out. Did his tux have any wrinkles? Were his shoes spotless? Did he remember his vows? Was his hair fine? He was so nervous. Gods.

"Hey, Jace?" Percy Jackson poked his head through the door. "It's time." He must've noticed his friend freaking out because he added, "You'll be great. Everything will be fine man."

Jason nodded, "Okay, thanks, I'll be out in a minute."

"Just remember you're supposed to be there first." Percy smiled and left, closing the door behind him.

Jason looked in the mirror one last time and took a deep breath. He would be getting married today and nothing could ruin it. He wouldn't let himself ruin it by freaking out. So he made his way inside the church and stood at the altar. His future wife would come through those doors soon enough.

But minutes ticked by. And everyone became nervous.

Twenty minutes and they heard nothing. Jason was sweating and the guests were starting to fidget. Where was she? Where was the love of his life? Where was his Beauty Queen? Where was his fiancé? What had happened to his Piper?

A half hour now, and the guests were whispering. All wondering the same thing. Where was the bride? And then Jason realized the brides maids weren't there either. He turned to look at his friends, Frank was literally freaking out, Percy looked like he would explode at any given moment, Leo was biting his nails and running his hair through his hair, worried sick. Travis had gotten up and was walking back and forth, unable to stay still.

At last, after an hour, the doors opened, but the bride wasn't the one who walked through the big oak doors.

It was a cop.

He walked slowly down the aisle, slowly, his eyes on Jason, who dreaded every step he took toward him. Finally, he reached him. "Jason I presume?"

He couldn't respond and only nodded.

"Son, Piper McLean and four others by names of Hazel Zhang, Katie Stoll, Calypso Valdez and Annabeth Jackson have been in a terrible car accident."

The four other guys got up.

"What?!" Percy screeched. Grover got up in time to be with Percy, in case he did anything.

The cop turned to face the five young men, "And I'm regret to inform that Piper McLean is no longer with us."

Everything slowed around Jason. His friends started freaking out and the guests startes talking and asking questions. In slow motion, he saw Piper's father run the cop shaking his head, tears threatening to fall. Jason fell to his knees, shaking his head as well. This couldn't be. He had to be dreaming. He had to be. But as he heard the yelling and questioning, he knew he wasn't, the pain was real. Piper was dead.

The love of his life was dead.

And it'd happened on his wedding day.

His soul mate was gone.
