Frazel (Frank + Hazel)
"Annabeth, you have got to help me. It's Hazel's birthday soon and I have no clue what to get her as a present." Frank looked panicky as he stood before Annabeth and asked for help.
"Frank, it's in two days! That's why we're visiting in the first place!"
"I know, I know but I couldn't pick out the right one so I was hoping you could help me."
Annabeth nodded, "Alright, I'll grab Percy and we can go shopping downtown."
Frank looked super grateful as he nodded.
Soon enough, they were in downtown San Francisco and all three were going in and out of various stores in search of a present for Hazel. After hours of searching Annabeth was the one who found a gift. They stood shoulder to shoulder looking down at the selection.
"A promise ring," Annabeth started, "Would be a wonderful gift. You've been dating for four years and I think it's something that would be amazing for the both of you. You know you want to stay with her and she knows she wants to stay with you. What could be better?"
Percy elbowed him, "Annabeth's right Frank. I say you get it."
Frank nodded, "You guys are right but I don't know her ring size."
Annabeth smiled and patted his shoulder, "You're lucky we're the same size, we share jewelry all the time. Just choose a ring and I'll try it on."
It didn't take long for him to choose a woven golden ring of delicate narcissus flowers with petals of black crystal and turquoise stones. In the center, there was a heart. He instantly asked Annabeth to ask for her size. He bought it and they went home immediately. Once they were there, they parted ways. He wanted to see her alone.
"Good luck dude," Percy smiled and walked away with Annabeth who gave him a thumbs up.
"Thanks guys." He went on hus search for Hazel. He found her sitting by the little Tiber. He sat next to her. "Happy Birthday Hazel."
She turned to him and grinned. "Frank! I hadn't seen you all day, I was beginning to think you wouldn't be here for my birthday."
"I wouldn't miss your birthday, and speaking of birthdays..." He took the ring box from his pocket and held it out to her. "Your present."
She threw him a puzzled look before taking the small box from his hand. She opened it. "Oh Frank, it's beautiful."
He blushed and rubbed the back of his neck, "You like it? It's--it's a promise ring."
"Thank you." She took it out and slipped it on her finger. She admired it before turning to him with moist eyes and a smile. "Thank you," she said again. She leaned over and kissed him.
Of course, that was a promise to always be by her side. That promise was kept all through their relationship and married a few years later, even further after death.
