Annalia (Annabeth + Thalia)

Senior year of college and Annabeth was used to not seeing Percy at her side. But she didn't really miss him much.

They broke up after Freshman year of college. They grew distant without seeing each other very often. When she'd gone to college in Washington and Percy stayed to go to NYU. Those three years she saw someone else more often though and maybe that had helped influence their brake up.

Annabeth stood quietly from her bed, trying not to wake her roommate, Martha. She was going to meet Thalia at their usual spot when she came to visit, down by the creek behind the dorms. She usually felt excited when she did this. Meeting Thalia. But today their meeting would be serious. Annabeth wanted to talk about joining the hunters. She would have joined years ago but she held back because she had wanted to be with Percy.

Her room was on the third floor but it didn't take long for her to reach the spot. Thalia was already waiting. A huge smile took over her face as she saw her come near. "Annie!" Then she rolled her amazing electric blue eyes, still smiling, "Finally. I've been waiting here for hours."

Usually, Annabeth hated when anybody called her Annie but Thalia was the only exception. "Please. I doubt it."

"Okay, so I've only been here for five minutes but forget that. What was it you wanted to tell me?" She raised a quizzical eyebrow.

"I want to join the hunters."

"Are you sure? You can't date--"

"Guys. I know Thals. But who said anything about dating guys? I want to hunt." And maybe be with someone for eternity or as long as our immortal lives let us before we died in battle.

"Okay. Do you want to leave now?"

"I've got two more weeks until I graduate, eight days to be exact. Come back for me then."

She nodded, "Of course."

~TWO WEEKS LATER~

Annabeth saw Thalia arrive at their usual spot by the creek from her dorm room window and she hurried down, not bothering to keep quiet this time because everyone was out starting their own graduation celebration.

All Annabeth had was a bag of clothes. Her dad was coming tomorrow to take her other not very important belongings to his house in San Francisco. Which weren't much so it wouldn't bother him.

She reached Thalia, "Which way Thals?"

"Follow me, the hunters aren't far off, maybe a mile."

"That seems a bit far off."

"You're just not used to distance, Annie." Thalia smirked.

Annabeth rolled her eyes, "Lead the way lieutenant."

They walked. Laughing and joking helped them pass the time easily but somehow it got into the subject of Percy and Annabeth.

"We broke up three years ago."

"But weren't you in love?"

Annabeth shrugged, "I really don't remember anymore but I think we were."

"Is joining the hunters some way of forgetting about him or something?"

Annabeth hesitated a little before answering. "Its not about him, its completely over between the two of us." She paused. "Besides...I have feelings for someone else."

Thalia stopped walking, "Annie, I told you. You can't date anyone if you join us. Artemis won't have it."

Annabeth stopped walking as well to face her and look her directly in the eyes. "I didn't say who. And she never said anything about not being able to like another girl."

"A girl? Who?" Curiosity sparked in her bright eyes. Annabeth dared to hope Thalia might return her feelings.

"I'm looking at her." Annabeth didn't move a muscle.

"...me?" Now there was also hope in those eyes.

"Who else?"

"Oh Annie." Thalia pulled her to her and crashed her lips hers, weaving her arms around her waist.

The kiss ended soon though, Thalia pulled away first, "Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

"I had to stay focused in school."

She smirked, "Of course."
