#1- Magical Love (AU)
Fifth-year Ravenclaw Prefect Annabeth Chase couldn't help it. Every time he came around, her heart did a mini dance. She had to work hard to keep the serious expression on her face.
Percy Jackson of Hufflepuff was a troublemaker. Everyone knew that. Maybe it started in his first year, when he accidentally flooded the Great Hall. Or his second year, when he burned down the house tables. Or when he accidentally exploded half of his common room. Whatever the case, her parents would certainly disapprove of him.
Ignore him, Annabeth chided whenever she caught herself staring at him. There are other, better wizards than him. He's not worth any of the love drama.
Her heart must have really hated her. Maybe it was because of his sneaky troublemaker smile. Or his smug face whenever he got away with trouble (usually with his Gryffindor pals, Jason and Leo). Once, after Charms class, she had scolded him for not paying attention while the professor was lecturing them. He'd rolled his eyes and said, "Whatever, Wise Girl."
"Oh, shut up, Seaweed Brain," she had replied, annoyed. She went back to Ravenclaw Tower to study, but for the rest of the day, couldn't stop thinking about him.
Everything changed that day.
It was August 18th, Percy Jackson's birthday. She'd overheard a conversation between Frank Zhang and Grover Underwood, and knew that they planned to throw a mini birthday celebration, complete with cake and decorations.
It was during one of her study periods. OWLs were approaching. She shouldn't have done it. Yet she did. Annabeth found herself peeking out from behind a pillar as the boys lay on the grass and ate blue cake. He was about to reach for another slice when he saw her. They made eye contact.
Before she knew what she was doing, Annabeth raced across the grass and kissed him full on the lips. Everything that had happened between them, the small smirks and scowls, the laughs and the teasing, flashed through her mind all at once. Her brain had melted like the icing on Percy's cake. They were the only ones in the world, it was just the two of them, alone.
Eventually, Percy and Annabeth broke apart. Lying on the grass, staring at the sky, they could hear Percy's friends making exclamations and talking behind them. Annabeth couldn't hear what they said. They were with each other, together, and that was the only thing that mattered.
"You know," Percy whispered, softly so only I could hear him. "I've been meaning to tell you this for a very long time... I love you, Wise Girl."
She could feel my eyes tearing up with happiness.
"I love you too, Seaweed Brain."
It was the best day of Annabeth Chase's life.
