Percy cheered when his eyes landed on his friend, his face immediately brightening up. (His face always lit up when he noticed Will; and vice versa, obviously.)
"Percy!" Percy's friend shouted gleefully, his blue eyes bright as he ran up the drive to meet Percy on the doorstep of the local school - which was where their Arts & Crafts club was held every Tuesday and Thursday.
"Will!" Percy screamed back, grinning from ear to ear as the two young boys embraced each other.
Their adult supervision for the day's session spoke up, then. He had a soft, caring smile tilting at the corners of his lips.
"Come inside, you two. We can all get started, that way. Everyone has been waiting for you guys." Luke, the adult supervision, laughed.
The older man led the two young boys through the entrance to the school, and then he walked them both down a few corridors (a left, then a right, right, a left, left, left, and lastly, a right). He led them all the way down to the art room, surprisingly enough. How lucky were they?
Their group usually just set up on a load of random tables up in one of the front classrooms.
"Right, here we are you two! My name's Luke." The man introduced, as if Percy and Will didn't already know his name; as if they didn't come here twice a week whilst he worked half of the shifts for this club.
(It was just a standard procedure, they knew. But they both thought it was a silly thing to do.)
Luke introduced them to the other children already there. It was then that the little ones both realised everyone in the room seemed a tiny bit older than them.
Luke explained that to them, gladly enough. Apparently they had'd upgraded from the lower Tuesday-Thursday group to the higher group and with that, came older club members, of course.
Once everyone was introduced and knew where everything was (equipment and toilets and such), Luke set them off on their task of making a pom-pom animal - of any kind.
"Get to it, then." Luke exclaimed kindly.
The activity was different to the colouring that they had done just last week, though this was much more enjoyblable.
This new adjustment would be interesting, it seemed.
