Percy closed his eyes, raising his shoulders up, and then down, in a deep, heavy exhale. He did this for several reasons: both to calm himself down and to prepare himself for the evening to come. (And what an evening it was to be, he would soon find out.)

With a nervous hand, Percy was finally able to pluck up enough courage to step up to his boyfriend's door and actually knock.

He wasn't kept waiting long - thirty seconds, if that - before the door was swinging open; and then he came face to face with his gorgeous, seventh-month partner.

"Percy! Hello, hello, come in!"

Percy chuckled (anxiously) to himself, as he did as he was told, slowly following his boyfriend, Jason, all the way into his apartment. The two didn't stop walking until they had entered the cosy little dining room the apartment owned.

Percy froze when he noticed that there were two people already sitting at the dining room table. Unfortunately, he recognised the both of them.

Two minutes later, Percy turned to look at Jason; his face was still as horrified as it was when he first recognised the detached couple seated at the rectangular, wooden table.

"You didn't tell me your parents would be here, too!" Percy hissed at his poor boyfriend, his usually-bright, green, eyes stormy.

Jason, however, only shrugged. Though, he did, for sympathy's sake, look guilty. That was because he understood Percy's (and his parents') conflict towards what was likely to be a stressful evening.

"I-I'm sorry. They just showed up."

Percy sighed, but he went to take a seat at the table, anyway.

"Nevermind. Let's just get it over with."

Well, there went Percy's plan for a pleasant evening.
