One night, after Tartarus, Hazel and Piper were awoken by Annabeth crying and screaming. They went to try and soothe her from her nightmare, but once they were outside of Annabeth's door, the noise stopped. They heard somebody whispering, "Shh, it's going to be okay. I'm here now. It's okay." They peeked inside to see Percy laying next to Annabeth stroking her hair as she hugged him so tight, it looked like Percy might burst. They then left the doorway and went back to their rooms knowing that it would not be a good idea to interrupt.
