I'm gonna just start doing my mini Authors Note here from now on. So hope you enjoy and btw I was basically dying not to throw up while I was writing this.

Percabeth
Pt 1

Percy's POV:
Chiron just announced that I was going on a quest with my girlfriend Rachel and my best friend Annabeth. Good news, I love both of them, but those two together aren't really the definition of...friendly. Rachel at least tries to settle things with Annabeth but Annabeth for some reason, doesn't like that and just ignores her.

When Chiron announced that we three were going, we stood up. Since Rachel was right next to me, I could see her fiddling with her red hair and shifting her feet. I grabbed her hand and she turned to me. I gave her a soft smile and she returned one.

Annabeth caught my eye, she was also standing up. She was laughing at whatever her sibling says but her stormy gray eyes turned hard when she saw us. Her face was stone cold and expressionless. It was almost like she was glaring at our direction.

What's up with her?

Annabeth's POV:

It hurts seeing him with her
It hurts seeing him happy with her
It hurts that it's not me

Here's the backstory of us, me and Percy were together. We were always together and inseparable. He was the perfect guy...for me.

I developed a massive crush on him. But no one knows, everybody just saw me as his best friend and only that. Then Rachel had to come along. Percy, of course being the nicest guy on the Earth, invited her in our little circle. I felt like it was nice to have another friend. Me and Rachel automatically got along, but that ended when Percy and her started dating. They completely tuned me out. All I heard was 'Awww, aren't they so cute? OTP!, cutest couple ever, and super adorable together'
I never once heard a 'Where's Annabeth?'
They barely talked to me anymore, I was abandoned again.

When Chiron announced that the Camp Fire was over. I went to my cabin with my siblings. We all did our night routine and went to bed.

My cabin went silent and I heard everybody's breathing went steady, signaling that all of them were asleep. I couldn't sleep. I had too many things on my mind to rest. I reached over to my bedside table and opened the cabinet. I brought out my iPod and earphones. I put my earbuds in and pressed 'Shuffle Play' on my Spotify playlist. "All these Years' by Camila Cabello. (^Up in the media, it's my favorite song and I feel like it kinda goes with the story well)

I turned on my lamp and brought out a book, The Outsiders. (It's so good) I began reading it.

I was so engrossed by the book that I didn't notice Percy near the window. He knocked softly and I jumped. He smirked and I narrowed me eyes.I pulled out my earbuds and set down my book. I went to the window and opened it up.

"What are you doing here?" I whispered in a harsh tone.

He chuckled coldly, with that smirk still on his face "Nice to see you too, Chase"

I rolled my eyes. "I was wondering if you wanna go up to the Zeus cabin, it has a great view tonight."

"Jason won't mind?"

"Piper and him went to Rome for a week, remember?"

My mouth formed an 'O' shape.

'Great, my only other best friends, gone for the rest of the week'

I nodded slowly "Sure, let me just get my jacket"

I turned around and grabbed the nearest hoodie of mine. I put it on and opened the door, slowly and quietly. Last thing I needed was waking up my siblings and catching the Harpie's attention. (Did I spell that right?) 

Percy and I made our way to the Zeus cabin and climbed to the top. Percy was the first one there and he helped me up. He stuck his hand out and I grabbed it. I felt Butterflies in my stomach when our fingers intertwined.

I climbed up and laid down next to Percy. I looked around and asked Percy "Rachel?"

"She's asleep" he said not making eye contact and still looking up at the sky.

Yes! But I just nodded.

A minute passed without us talking. Then another, then another.

"What was up with you at the camp fire?" Finally he broke it "You looked pissed"

I frantically looked around staring at everything except at him. He cannot find about my crush on him.

"Uh, I was just having those days" I quickly lied

He gave me a goofy grin "Period?"

I smacked his arm playfully "Shut up"

He chuckled and we spent the whole morning talking about pointless things. And it felt nice. It felt like it was just the two of us again. Like Rachel never intervened.

Then it was getting too late. The sun was already coming up. Me and Percy's smiles faded. "We should get going"

I nodded slowly. We got down and headed to our cabins separately.

"Annabeth!" I heard Percy call after me from behind.

I turned around facing him. "Night" He gave me another goofy grin.

I gave him one back "Night"
