Piper's POV:
Great, just my luck

Chiron just announced that Jason and I were going on a quest together...but with Drew. My face fell when I heard this, but Jason's face remained serious. Drew on the other hand squealed. I rolled my eyes at her excitement.

Chiron shooed the camp off and said it's time to go to bed. I swear, it's like he still treats us like little kids

I walked to my cabin in a hurry but someone grabbed my arm. I turned around and Jason stood there smiling. His hand trailed down my arm and to my hand. He laced his fingers through mine and with his free hand he grabbed my waist pulled me closer.

I rammed into his chest (Don't think wrong!) He smiled down at me and whispered in my ear "Were you okay back there?"

I blushed "What are you talking about?"

Jason smirked "I saw your face fall when Chiron announced Drew was coming along"

"Yeah, well she really isn't 'Quest Material" I put those two last words in hand quotation.

Jason nodded "Yeah"

I noticed we were the only ones that weren't in their cabin. I didn't want to get eaten by the Harpies so I said to Jason "It's getting late, we have a big day tomorrow"

"Yeah, no kidding" he kissed me on the forehead "Goodnight, Love You Pipes"

"Goodnight, Love You too" With that, we went to both of our cabins and fell asleep

THE NEXT DAY

We were ready to go on the quest. We hiked up to Thalia's pine tree. Jason grabbed my hand for reassurance.

Then Drew, on Jason's other side, put her hand on Jason's shoulder. "Aren't you excited Jasy? Oh and you too Dumpster Girl?"

I grabbed my dagger and looked at her straight in the eye "You wanna say that again, clown?"

Drew swallowed but didn't say anything. Jason just stood there doing nothing.

I can't believe he didn't even back me up

I let go of his hand and crossed my arms. In the corner of my eye he looked confused. But he tore his eyes off me quickly and looked ahead. "Here we go"

AFTER THE QUEST

We got back from the quest and I was pissed.

Yes we all got back safely...but that doesn't matter right now.

When Drew was always hitting on Jason, he never attempted to push her away. He always claims that he loves me and would never cheat on me. But, I've been skeptical.

So I've just been avoiding him. Of course after the quest, Drew left us both alone and went to go flirt with some of the new campers.

"Hey Pipes!" Jason waved at me but I ignored him. In the corner of my eye, I saw he was jogging to me. I panicked and started to speed walk to the Athena cabin. I got in and slammed the door. Annabeth jumped on her bed.

"Piper! Don't do that! I was reading" she scolded me

"Sorry!" I apologized

"What was so important that you had to barge in?"

I bit my lip "It's about me and Jason"

She patted her bed signaling to sit next to her. I sat and told her everything. Turns out, Annabeth's a good listener. She sat there staring at me, listening to every word I was saying. I was done and breathed out.

"I sound ridiculous, don't I?"

She smiled at me "No you don't"

"What do I do?" I put my face in my hands "I mean, don't get me wrong, I still love Jason but it's like...he's not there anymore"

She opened her mouth to say something but there was a knock on the door.

"Hey Annabeth, is Piper there?" Jason asked in a soft voice. Annabeth and I locked eyes and she motioned to stay silent.

"Um-no" she said "Why do you ask?"

"Ok, no reason"

"Piper, just talk to him" She turned back to me. "he'll listen"

I smiled "Thanks Annie"

She smiled back "No problem"

I got out of the Athena cabin and shut the door.

Suddenly a pair of arms wrapped around me from the back. I looked down and saw the eagle tattoo with twelve stripes (A/N: I think I got the number wrong)

Jason leaned down to whisper in my ear "Can we talk?"

I spun around, still in his arms and looked in his eyes. "Yeah"

He grabbed my hand and walked to his cabin. We stepped in and locked the door. We sat on his bed and he turned to me.

"I heard what you said" he looked me in the eyes

I froze "Huh?"

"In the Athena cabin, I heard everything" Jason fiddled his thumbs "when you were talking to Annabeth"

My eyes widened "Oh...um..about that, I was gonna talk to you about that-"

He interrupted me "Do you really think that I don't love you anymore?"

I looked down at my hands. "Do you?" He asked again

"No, I-I just-" he leaned in and kissed me slowly

I kissed back, and I could feel him smirking against my lips. I pulled away and dug my face in his chest.

"I love you" he whispered "I just needed to make sure you know that"

I smiled against him "I love you too"
