TWO YEARS LATER...

It was a beautiful morning in Tarabiscoville. The sun was rising and shining on the entire town, waking up all its habitants. In a blue house, a dark-skinned boy was sleeping peacefully when his alarm clock rang, making tiger roars.

"Just five more minutes, please..." said Connor tiredly while turns off his alarm, before opening his eyes wide. "Wait... Right, today is the start of the summer holidays!"

Connor got out of his bed and opened his closet to grab his regular clothes. He took off his pajamas and threw them onto his bed. After a few seconds, Connor was already wearing his regular clothes and ran out of his house. Once outside, he saw his girlfriend Amaya, his friends Greg, Newton and Ivan waiting for him outside. The expression on their faces showed that they were excited. It was obvious, it was already the first day of summer vacation.

"Hey guys!" said Connor approaching his friends. "Ready to start this summer vacation?"

"Of course we are, kitten. We were waiting for you to do some fun activities to start this holidays." said Amaya and hugs Connor. "But it will be great spending these holidays by your side."

"Hehehehe. Oh princess, you're so cute." said Connor hugging back his girlfriend.

"Hey, what about we go to the park? We can play there." said Greg.

"I think we can't go, Greg." said Ivan.

"What do you mean, Ivan?" said Newton.

"Well, this morning, while I was on my way here, I saw that the park's doors were blocked by police tape. When I asked a woman who was passing by, she told me that the park was closed because the police are doing some investigation there." said Ivan.

"An investigation? Of what?" said Connor.

"I don't know. The woman didn't know as well." said Ivan.

"This is odd..." said Greg thoughtfully while scratching his chin. "But anyway, we better find another fun place to start the vacation."

"Oh, we can go to the library to read more books about asteroids." said Newton.

"Newton, that's something that you like to do. Maybe we can go to the school's playground to play some basketball." said Amaya.

"Great idea, Amaya. So I can put my new basketball skills to use." said Ivan.

"We'll see about that." said Connor defiantly.

"Well, what are we waiting for then? Let's go!" said Greg excited before running to the school's playground being followed by his friends.

When they were halfway there, they suddenly saw a bus pulling up. When it left, they saw that a family had gotten off. It consisted of a bald man wearing a black jacket and pants and a black and grey striped scarf. There was also another man, only this one had blond hair and was wearing white clothes. There was a woman with red hair and a blue dress. There were also three little girls.

"Wow, it looks like a new family had arrived to the town." said Connor.

"You think we should introduce ourselves to them?" said Amaya.

"I think yes. They look like they're good people." said Ivan.

Connor, Amaya, Greg, Newton and Ivan approached to the family, which tey were carrying a lot of suitcases. They were clearly struggling to carry them, as they were heavy. The woman dropped one suitcase and held her back, somewhat exhausted.

"Hey, do you need help" said Connor and the woman turned to see them.

"Oh, thank you so much. It's so kind of your part." said the woman.

Newton and Greg lifted one of the suitcases. They had to work hard because it was so heavy, like if there were rocks inside.

"So, are you new here in town?" said Ivan.

"Well, actually we'll be staying here for a few days." said the woman.

"Lucy... a little help, please?" said the blonde man while carrying some suitcases. The woman quickly helped him to carry the suitcases alongside with the three girls.

"So... You're name is Lucy? And those are your husband and daughters?" said Greg.

"What? Oh, no no no. Yes, my name is Lucy, and these are my three daughters. But he's not my husband, it's that one over there and his name is Gru." said Lucy pointing the bald man.

Connor, Amaya, Greg, Newton and Ivan looked at Gru, who looked like he wasn't paying attention. He was configurating some kind of tracker with a desesperate expression on his face.

"Come on..." said Gru shaking the tracker. "Come on! Work!"

"Uhm... Is your husband okay?" said Newton.

"Don't worry, he's a little stressful about job. Anyway, these are my three daughters. Margo, Edith and Agnes." said Lucy.

"What's up?" said Edith.

"Hi." said Agnes.

But the two girls didn't hear an answer from Margo. They looked at her, and they saw her looking at Newton with her mouth open. He clearly atratched her attention. Edith gave Margo a soft hit on her arm to snap out her.

"Ow! That hurted." said Margo rubbing her arm.

"Hey, it was the only way to wake you up." said Edith.

"Come on, girls. Don't fight. Anyway, we're looking for a hotel to host us. Would you like to show us where we can find one?" said Lucy.

"Sure. We can guide you. Follow us." said Connor walking with his friends to a hotel alongside being followed by the family, but Gru was still configurating the tracker.

"Gru, come on." said Lucy grabbing his husband by the hand and taking him with her.

10:00 p.m.

The night had fallen. All the citizens were in their houses sleeping... Well, not some of them.

The tracker, which Gru had been working on for a long time, finally worked. So, after putting the girls to bed, he, his wife and his brother went out and walked throught the streets, being guided by the tracker. After walking for a long time, they arrived to a place that the tracker was marking. The town's park.

"We've arrived. They must be in here, I know." said Gru.

"Gru, you said that two hours ago." said Lucy putting her hands on her knees.

"This time it's true, Lucy... I can feel it, they must be here." said Gru.

"Brother, promise me that if we don't find them today, we'll go back to the hotel. I don't like leaving the girls alone." said Dru.

But Gru didn't listen to his brother's words, as he broke the police tape and opened the doors before entering it. Lucy and Dru quickly followed his step, being just behind of him while Gru was leading to a furthest part of the park.

About two hours passed, it was know midnight. The moon glowed all the town. The wind was blowing very hard, causing the trees' leaves to make a noise that seemed to be taken from a horror movie.

Gru continued walking through the dark woods, looking around the place. He had a certain look of hope on his face. He wasn't going to give up until he found what he was looking for. He wasn't going to stop until he found them.

Lucy and Gru were following his step the better they can. The wind blew very hard, and the cold air was freezing them. They wanted to come back.

"Gru... I think we should come back now. The weather is getting worse." said Lucy.

"No... They're close. I know. I can feel that they're here." said Gru.

"Gru, please. We shouldn't have left the girls alone in the hotel. By the wather, I think a storm is coming. And Agnes is afraid of thunder." said Dru.

"I won't leave until I found them..." said Gru.

"I know you miss them, Gru. I miss them too, believe me. But it's getting late and I think we should..." said Lucy before Gru turned to them with an angry look.

"I WON'T GO WITHOUT MY MINIONS!!!" shouted Gru. "I LOST THEM ONE TIME, I WON'T LOST THEM TWICE!!!"

Slowly, Gru's angry look changed into sadness. Tears appeared in his eyes. Yes, his true intention was to find those he lost two years ago. Since then, he dedicated all his time to find them, no matter what the cost.

"Gru..." said Lucy, grabbing his husband's hands. "Listen. I know it's hard to you that they didn't understand that you had to change. I miss those little fellas too. But it's late now. We can go back here and search tomorrow if you want, okay?

"O... Okay..." said Gru with a small smile on his face after drying up his tears with his scarf.

"Be strong, bro. Believe me. Tomorrow we'll going to find them. I'm sure that they will finally understand you." said Dru.

Finally, the three of them prepared to leave and return to the hotel. But, something happened... A loud sound of footsteps alerted them. They seemed to come from everywhere, as if they were multiple people walking around... Until, at one point, they stopped.

Suddenly, someone or something that was behind of a tree started to choke Lucy and Dru with a chain while roaring like a beast. Gru was startled at the beginning, but he was shock when he saw the attacker.

"BOB!!! BOB, STOP!!!" said Gru trying to stop Bob, but he pushed him into the floor.

"G-GRU...!!!" shouted Lucy while she and Dru were being asfixied by the chain.

"BOB, STOP!!! PLEASE!!!" shouted Gru and again tried to stop the little Minion, but he pushed away again. "PLEASE!!! BOB, STOP!!! PLEASE!!! BOB, STOP!!!"

Lucy and Dru were coughing as they felt like they were losing force, while Bob still choking them with the chain very hard. 

"STOP, PLEASE!!! LET GO THEM!!! BOOOOOB!!!" shouted Gru in tears, before he heard a cracking noise and Lucy and Dru fell to the floor with no sings of life. 

Gru was still terrified and looked up at Bob with tears in his eyes. The little Minions was now wearing a black and little broken shirt, and he had blue pants. But what scared him was his eyes. They were glowing in blood red. This was enough to make Gru to get up and run away, being chased by the yellow creature.

Margo, Edith and Agnes walked through the forest. The dark atmosphere, along with the sound of rustling leaves, made the three girls feel unsafe. It was like being in a horror movie.

"Maybe we should have waited for the adults to return." said Agnes a little scared.

"They were going to take a while anyway." said Edith. "Plus, Gru was always obsessed with finding you-know-who".

"Shhh! Don't you hear that?" said Margo.

They had stopped at a river. Footsteps could be heard all around. It seemed like someone was following them closely, waiting to attack at any moment... And they did.

Just then, someone grabbed Agnes by the arm and threw her into the river. That person turned into Margo and Edith and hit them on the head with a mallet. Agnes tried to swim to shore, but only saw a small yellow silhouette with one eye, wich was glowing in red.

The creature stepped into the water, raised his hammer... and smashed it against Agnes's skull. Blood soon began to spray all around.

Gru stopped and leaned into a tree. He began to cry. He couldn't believe that his old friends have turned into monsters with bloodlust. Suddenly, he felt something watching him on his right side. A thunder iluminated the area, and then, he saw him.

Kevin, the leader of the Minions, was standing right there. By the illumination of the thunder, Gru managed to see his new appearance. He was now wearing blue overalls, alongside a t-shirt with red rays.

"Kevin, you have to help me, please. There's something wrong with Bob, he just... killed my wife and my brother, please..." said Gru, but he didn't have an answer from the Minion. He saw the Minion's bright red eyes, just like Bob's, which made him realize his true intentions. He began to shake his head. "No... Why are you doing this, Kevin? We used to be friends, why are you doing this? Please."

Gru turned to escape from who was once his friend, but his way was blocked by Bob who appeared walking towards to him with his eyes glowing red, but he wasn't alone. Alongside with him, there was Stuart, with blue overalls and a t-shirt with green rays, and his eye was also glowing red.

"Guys, I'm so sorry. I didn't know anything of this would happen. I... I just wanted to form a family." said Gru as he backed up, seeing that his only way to escape was blocked by the three Minions. "Why are you doing this?! We used to be friends! Just stop! Please, I'm begging you."

He leaned into the tree again, with the tears falling out of his eyes as he saw his old friends walking towards to him slowly, clearly with no good intentions.

"I didn't want put you aside, I swear! I-I... We us... We used to have fun together, as friends." said Gru as he sit slowly while Kevin, Stuart and Bob kept walking towards to him. "Remember when we were villains, Kevin. Kevin, please... Why? Why are you doing this?! I didn't what to put you aside, I swear!" 

Kevin, Stuart and Bob glanced at him with a frown. Their red eyes kept glowing that bright red. They slowly leaned to him.

"No, please! NOOOOOOOOO!!!" shouted Gru in fear.

HORROR OR HOAX? 'THE MONSTERS OF TARABISCOVILLE'S PARK'

"Another disappearence in the park today." said a female reporter. "Mutilated body found."

A lot of newspapers informed about strange dissapearences in the park, while a lot of pictures, some of them with good or poor quality, showed strange yellow creatures with red eyes.

"As known of the monsters of the town's park." said a male reporter. "Tarabiscoville won't save you."

MONSTERS IN THE PARK!

"Mutilated body found." said another female reporter.

Authorities had put up a sign warning visitors not to approach the park, knowing how dangerous the place has become due to the strange murders and disappearances.

"Another disappearence in the park." said the male reporter.

"Don't go to the park today." said the other female reporter.

"A mutitlated body has been discovered." said the male reporter.

"Don't go to the park today." said the female reporter.

"New murders in Tarabiscoville's park." said the male reporter.
