the next day, youngjae's sister and her fiancé arrive in the early afternoon. jaebum, as always, is very nervous to meet another member of youngjae's family.

"why are you so nervous? you'll be just fine hyung so don't worry too much," youngjae tells him for the umpteenth time.

"maybe a kiss will make me feel less nervous?" he asks with puckered lips.

youngjae rolls his eyes but still plants a kiss on his boyfriend's lips. the latter smiles against youngjae's lips before pulling away and pecking his cheek. the younger male smiles fondly, running his fingers through his hair.

"good? let's go then."

youngjae takes the older's hand and they go downstairs to greet jiseon and hyunjoo who are greeting youngjae's parents as they enter the house. jaebum feels his heart beat so rapidly increase that it's probably unhealthy as jiseon notices them and sends them a friendly smile. youngjae lets go of jaebum's hand and literally runs to his older sister to hug her. she holds him tight as he starts rambling on about how he missed her.

"i missed you too little brother. but i can't really breathe right now," she says with a laugh that sounds exactly like youngjae's.

her brother lets her go but still holds her hand as he greets her fiancé. jiseon then lifts her eyes to look at jaebum who just stands awkwardly, fidgeting with his fingers.

"it's so nice to finally meet you, jaebum. youngjae never stops talking about you when we're on the phone."

"no i don't! what do you mean?" youngjae protests but there's a blush creeping up to his face.

jaebum chuckles a bit at that and smiles at her.

"it's nice to meet you as well and i'm sorry if i'm a bit awkward, i'm super nervous i guess," he admits with a light chuckle.

"don't worry, we don't bite. this is hyunjoo by the way, my fiancé," she introduces the man next to her.

"nice to meet you. and i totally feel you. i was a sweating mess when i first met them too," hyunjoo says with a laugh as he extends his hand to him.

jaebum shakes his hand with a smile. he feels a bit reassured now that he met someone who's not a part of youngjae's family... yet.

"now, we just have to wait for minjoo and christmas can really get started!" heejin exclaims in a cheery voice.

youngjae just smiles brightly, looking at his boyfriend and giving him two thumbs up. jaebum returns his smile, exhaling with relief as he thinks that everything is going rather smoothly.

but he hasn't met the older brother yet so you never know.

minjoo shows up at around 5 pm and jaebum's hands get really really sweaty. when minjoo's eyes find his, jaebum expects to find a threatening glare but all he sees is kindness. are they always all so kind like that or is it just because jaebum's here? he doesn't know.

"nice to meet you, i'm jaebum," he says, smiling.

for once, he's introducing himself. good job jaebum, i'm proud of you.

"likewise. we heard some good things about you!" minjoo replies with a smile but as he leans down in jaebum's personal space, he whispers. "but if you hurt him, i'll shred you to pieces. got it?"

jaebum gulps but nods anyway with a nervous smile. minjoo pulls back and has a nice smile on his face which jaebum knows is sincere but he also knows not to mess with youngjae's older brother, that's for sure.
