Over 20 fairies soared through the sky, competing in a race.

The MC was eager, watching every fairy.

Fans cheered for their idols and hoped to be like them.

"Look at them go! Into the final lap! And here comes number 7, Periwinkle Bell!" announced the MC.

Periwinkle, a racer turned ice fairy, soared past her rival Vidia, who had been reformed since the Wings Around the Globe race.

Periwinkle crossed the finish line with her arms spread out and a triumphant grin on her face.

"And Peri wins the gold!" cheered the MC.

Tinker Bell, Periwinkle's elder sister by two minutes, sprinkled blue pixie dust on her twin. 

Periwinkle was now a very famous fairy.

Tinker Bell was also famous, just simply for being Periwinkle's sister!

Peri's next race was in two weeks, so she had a lot to do! 

Dewey, Periwinkle's mentor, took her out for some flight training.

"Hey, Winter Woods tower, this is Bell 7, flight of two, ready for takeoff." Announced the frost fairy.

Periwinkle and Dewey took off and Tinker Bell watched her sister, clapping for her.

Just then, Periwinkle started experiencing flying troubles.

Tinker Bell immediately flew up to catch her sister.

"Are you okay?" Dewey asked. 

"It's my ring..." Peri whispered.

Every fairy had a mega ring, a bracelet that they needed to wear to survive.

Something was wrong with Peri's.

Dewey and the twins immediately made a landing.

Tinker Bell brought her sister to the hospital. 

Dottie took the sisters to a hospital room. 

Periwinkle laid down in the bed while Tinker Bell sat down in a chair.

Dottie drew blood and put Periwinkle on life support while she took off the mega ring and examined it.

Dottie discovered the cause, clipped the mega ring back onto Peri's arm and took her off the life support equipment.

Dottie explained that Periwinkle's mega ring's reduction gearbox was failing.

Periwinkle asked her friend if she could order a new one, but Dottie said that the type of gearbox for a frost fairy's mega ring was out of production. 

"From now on, you have to back off the torque. Keep it under 80 miles per hour." Dottie urged Periwinkle.

Peri was confused.

"What? 80 miles per hour? You've got my mega ring cranked up to 140! I need that to race!" Periwinkle protested.

"If you push yourself into the red, your gearbox will fail."

"No, Dottie!"

"And then your engine will seize!"

"Maybe that test was wrong!"

"Peri, listen!"

Tinker Bell frowned at the argument between her sister and Dottie.

"I've got a race in two weeks!"

"You'll crash!" Dottie finally yelled. 

That got Peri's attention.

"If you push yourself into the red, you will crash." Dottie frowned.

Look, I'm going to install a warning light on your mega ring."

"What?" Peri cried.

"If it comes on, you'll have to pull power. Slow down."

Periwinkle was shocked. "Dottie, are you saying I... can't race anymore?"

"I'm so sorry." Dottie was heartbroken, and so was Tinker Bell.

Dottie installed the warning light on Periwinkle's mega ring. Periwinkle left the hospital in deep sorrow, Tinker Bell trailing beside her.
