          THE QUANTUM REALM.

An infinite dimension, as old as the universe itself, existing in the spaces between its atoms. It holds a cluster of trillions of worlds ruled by the most abhorrent of concepts, in the most ridiculous formations of laws, stirring an incomprehensible amount of lives.

When the universe is filled with such absolute strangeness, how can the mind not want to believe in everything?

As a world within the Quantum Realm, the Fae Sphere has flourished in unbound forms of mysticism through millennia, unbothered by the Central Dimension's perception. They evolved in their blindspot in ways the Central Dimension could not even comprehend just yet. However, the "fairy" civilization did not go completely unnoticed: those most creative, those with their minds still open to the vast possibilities of the universe, witnessed fugitive glimmers of the truth.

The fairytales may not all be true, but reality is somewhere in the middle: between magic and science.

Scott Lang had no idea that by saving the world as Ant-Man, by being forced to go in the space between atoms to do so, he'd tear right through the dimensional walls of not just the Quantum Realm in general, but the Fae Sphere in particular too.

Since his unexpected, albeit short visit, a Great Darkness has terrorized the Fae Sphere. Thousands of fairies died to an enemy they could never capture nor see for long enough to describe. When their Lady Fae went missing, her brother has announced, as his first official decree in monarchy, that Scott Lang be considered an "Enemy of Fae" and should be, at once, eliminated, so that whatever beast he has unleashed upon them be satisfied and let them be.

It was only natural to send after him the most skilled of their half-fairies, the one he knew would never fail a Macroworld mission: enter Pixie.
