mortality laced kisses
we sip pink lemonade from yellow bordered cups, letting the searing summer rot our twisted minds more. there is tepid mortality in your bones and gold in your eyes, yet you kiss me like you'll live forever. imprints of you cling to my body, your grayed storm like gaze unwavering from my sun burnt melted skin.
you have broken ribs and oleanders sprouting from your cherry gums, don't you see i am nothing but ruin and destruction? yet i still kiss you because kissing you feels like the nebulous coalescing of galaxies. the solar rays irradiate the sixteen freckles on your cheeks while you trace your honey dipped fingertips across my chai latte skin. beads of glistening sweat dot your temples as you pour your sunshine nectar into my bones. i run towards the wind ruffled azure waves and your footsteps follow suit. you should stay away from me, i am a breathing cataclysm.
there is grace in your body and unblemished nectarine love in your heart. can't you see the love in my heart is tainted with poison which could kill you? you seem unfazed about the kiss of death that mars my skin, why are you so hopelessly in love with someone who can never be yours. did you forget there is venom slithering in my touch and tragedies in my lips?
