~Y/n pov~

The slime started melting, covering the land on the other side of the lake.

Sanji leaned closer to the creature, "He's transforming!"

"What is that?!" Kin'emon exclaimed.

"What is it? A frog?" Sanji asked.

It shot a ball of some straight at us.

We all ran quickly to avoid it.

Another slime grew from that blob.

"He can make as many copies of himself as he wants?!" Kin'emon said in disbelief as we all started to run.

If it can just keep replicating itself. We either have to cross and lake and kill the original.

Or we can't beat it so we should escape.

"It looks like the other one is shrinking." Brook mentioned.

"Let's just run for now." I stated.

"You're right. Momonosuke!!" Kin'emon screamed, running faster.

"What are you guys gonna do? I'm going to the lab." Zoro yelled so the other could hear.

"Then we gotta go too, idiot!" Sanji responded.

Zoro glared at him, "Who are you calling idiot?!"

They both stopped running and started to arguing.

I sighed and grabbed both of their hands, dragging them along.

"Y/n is holding my hand!!" Sanji exclaimed with hearts in his eyes as he seemingly forgot about Zoro.

Zoro grumbled to himself and glared at Sanji with an agitated expression.

A blob of slime landed where they were both just standing.

"Their so persistent." Brook yelped as another blob of slime landed dangerously close to us, "How far away is the lab?"

One of the blobs of some landed just in front of us.

"The whole thing is over here now." I observed and the slime on the other side had disappeared.

The smaller slimes started combining and getting bigger.

"It's getting bigger!" Sanji exclaimed.

"Can we even outrun this monster?!" Zoro yelled as it started to chase after us.

"Hey guys. I see a ball." Brook yelled as he looked back in front of us.

I looked to see the ball which looked like a giant sweet.

It was right in front of us.

"Somebody's there!"

There were people in yellow suits stood just underneath the giant sweet.

They had a wed and a dragon with them.

The dragon got up and ran away.

Did the ropes snap?

I watched as they argued for a few seconds before pulling off the yellow suits and running away.

An image was suddenly projected into the air.

"Somebody's image is being projected in the air this time!" Brook pointed out the obvious.

"Forget about all that crap! Just run!" Sanji yelled back.

"Smiley! I've missed you! It's been three years!" The man on the screen exclaimed.

Is he taking to the smile?

So this whole thing is his doing.

The smile stopped running and started to waddle towards the screen.

We took advantage of the distraction and continued to run as Smiley stopped in front of the screen.

I heard the man on the screen yell in shock.

Turning around, I saw that Smiley had eaten the massive sweet.

The slime let out a growl.

This doesn't look good.

Even the soldiers were running away.

Smiley turned purple and the slime started to crawl across the ground.

The sled was completely destroyed when it was touched

The slime started coming towards us.

"Run!" I yelled to the others.

Purple gas raced after the soldiers.

They turned to ice or was it something else?

"Don't get distracted." Zoro grabbed my hand and pulled me along to make me run faster.

I had been lagging behind a bit.

"It's close." I muttered which made Zoro run faster.

The dragon from before was running in front of us.

"If we catch up we can fly on it." Zoro yelled.

The dragon was still very far away.

"I can't run anymore." Sanji panted as he started to slow down.

He placed his hand on his chest.

"Breasts!"

Sanji ran really really fast and managed to catch up with the dragon.

We managed to catch up and clung on but the dragon just continued to run.

"Why is it not flying?" Zoro complained.

Brook let go and went flying towards the gas.

Usopp and Nami suddenly my appeared.

Usopp grabbed Brook's arm and pulled him away from the gas.

"What are you doing here?" I asked them.

"We have tons of question too, but they can wait." Nami called back.

Nami was no longer in Franky's body so I guess he got it back.

Now she was in Sanji's body.

"You all, jump on my back." Brownbeard told us.

We jumped off the slowing down dragon and onto his back.

Zoro and Kin'emon charged forward and cut a big hole in the shutter so we could all fit through.

"Hey! Everybody's here?" Luffy called and waved to us.

Some men grabbed the part of the shutter that had been chopped and hurriedly out it back in place, securing it with panels of wood and metal.

There was a creaking noise as the area we were in became shrouded in gas.

"I guess we're safe now." Nami sighed in relief and sat down.

Some of the guys in here pointed their guns at us.

"We could've died because of you!" They complained.

"But you didn't." I responded.

They only glared in response.

The bullets would pass through me anyway.

"Hey, you! Tra-guy. Switch us back please." Nami begged while Sanji repeatedly shook his head in protest.

Law sighed in annoyance, "Room, shambles."

"The dream is over." Sanji screamed as he returned to his body.

Nami looked down at her clothes and blinked, "Why am I wearing a different coat?! You took off my clothes didn't you!?"

She punched him in the face.

"Everybody here, listen!"

The guns were lowered and we all turned to look at Law.

"Now, outside of this laboratory is filled with the poison gas but there is on passage that could lead you directly to the sea bypassing the air outside! This laboratory consists of multiple buildings. We're in building A now. If you go through the gate at the back of this building and pass through building B, the central part, you'll find building R. There is a big door marked R-66 that is an entrance to the passage to the sea." Law explained.

So he wants everyone to leave and get out of the way.

I'm guessing we're staying to beat the monster who created that gas.

The marines decided to rescue the children and escape.

We were sat on Brownbeard's tail again as he ran.

That green dragon from earlier was chasing us as it flew through the sky.

It kept breathing out fire, trying to hit us.

Zoro was sat back in a relaxed position, seemingly unbothered.

I sat beside him, my head resting against his arm.

Kin'emon stood on the tail with an unbothered expression.

Usopp screamed as the dragon breathed out fire again.

Robin sat there calmly and Brook looked anxious.

"They that dragon is out of control! It's dangerous!" Usopp yelled.

Zoro smirked, "He does look violent."

"Run faster." Nami complained as she clung onto Brownbeard's shoulder.

"This is the fastest I can run." He retorted.

"The fire he breathes looks hot." Robin stated.

Brook let out a scream as Nami and Usopp urged him to do something.

"This dragon is way bothersome than the last one. It's quicker." Zoro observed.

"Why are you laying around? Stop that dragon." Brownbeard ordered.

"If you insist. I guess I have no choice." I stood up and looked up at the dragon.

Brook and Kin'emon grabbed their swords and got all fired up about defeating it.

I used wind to lift myself into the air.

It faultered a bit and I almost fell, not used to using wind.

I managed to gain control.

The dragon breathed in and got ready for toast me alive.

I jumped up and stomped on its head, making its mouth close.

Smoke came out of its nose as the fire attacked it from the inside.

I set fire to my body and the area surrounding it, toasting the dragon as it turned brown and started to fall to the ground.

Jumping off, I floated back towards the others.

"Why didn't you do that earlier?!" Nami complained.

"You're welcome." I responded.

"You saved us." Usopp clung to my arm as tears fell down his cheeks, "Protect me forever."

I thought he was 'no longer part of the weak trio' but here he is crying.

We looked up and saw children running.

There was a loud screaming noise.

"Chopped turned into a monster." Nami exclaimed when she saw him.

"It's like the time in Enies Lobby all over again." I added.

"Give us candy." The children yelled angrily.

"You just never eat what candy again. Don't you want to go home." Chopper spoke.

Does that mean he's in control?

The children charged at him and hid him with poles.

Chopper fell to the ground and transformed back to his smaller form.

The children all ran past him.

We all ran towards Chopper.

I scooped him up off the ground, "Are you okay?"

He looked at me with a tired expression.

"Momonosuke!!" The samurai yelled.

We ran into the biscuit room to see all the children trying to eat the candy.

One kid was holding it.

It seemed like she was protecting it and trying to keep it away from the others.

She ran towards us as the other children raced after her.

The exit door closed and there was a rush of cold wind.

"You don't have to worry." A woman with wings laughed, "Share the candy web everyone else."

She jumped down from the railing and spread her wings, creating gusts of wind.

"So she's our enemy, huh?" Usopp asked as he shielded his face.

Flurries of snow rushed past us.

"Who the hell are you?" Zoro asked.

The woman laughed in response, "I'm Monet, a snow-snow fruit eater."

The children started to walk towards Monet.

"I'll try and restrain the children. Usopp, Brook, go find some Sea Prism stone handcuffs." Robin instructed.

"Why?"

"Luffy asked me to find them."

"I'll come with you. I want to search for Momonosuke." Kin'emon followed them.

"It's cold. I just took off my coat." Nami complained.

"Everybody, stop! You shouldn't eat the candy." Chopped yelled to the children desperately.

They all ignored him and chased after the file holding the candy.

My eyes widened as Monet stabbed Robin and then flew off.

Zoro blocked the blades coming towards us with his sword as I knelt beside Robin.

Nami came and sat beside me while shivering.

I helped Robin sit up and looked at her wound.

"It's not too deep but be careful." Chopper observed.

"Go help the children!" Zoro yelled, "I'll take care of her."

"Are you okay?" Nami asked Robin.

She smiled and sat up, "I'm fine. It's just a scratch." (Tis but a scratch-)

"Hurry, the kids are gonna leave the room soon." Chopper exclaimed, his eyes widened as he watched them dash towards the door, "I promised her I would hold them but I didn't."

I helped Robin up and we ran towards the exit where the children had just ran into.

They can't have gotten too far.

I glanced behind us and watched as Zoro started coming towards us.

"What is he doing?!" Nami yelled, holding Chopper in front of her as a shield.

"Don't use me as a shield!" Chopper shrieked in fear.

I held my arms out towards him.

Chopper took this opportunity to jump into my arms and get away from Nami.

Monet almost hit Nami as she appeared to come out of thin air.

Zoro quickly blocked it as Nami ran out of the way.

Nami frowned as Monet called her weak. (It's autocorrected to money 💵)

"Get out the way. Heat egg." Nami rammed her weapon into one of Monet's wings and then started to run off.

Monet smirked as she blocked the door, "Those children are the Master's precious test subjects. And I'm responsible to protecting Caesar and his experiment. Who planted this rebellious spirit in Mocha's mind?"

"Those kids asked for help on their own." Chopper yelled angrily.

Zoro cut an opening in the door.

We ran out, leaving him to fight Monet.

"This way." Robin grabbed my hand to stop me from wandering off.

We started to catch up with the children.

Chopper was running ahead of us.

"Robin, hold the children." Chopper instructed.

"Cien Fleurs."

Most of the children fell to the floor, trying to pull the arms away from their body.

"Help!!" Mocha yelled as she continued to run, some of the children still chasing her.

Nami and I stood in front of the rest of the children, blocking their path and allowing Mocha to continue running.

"I won't let anyone have it." Mocha cried as she continued to run.

Nami shot cloud out of her climatact to keep them away.

It didn't do much as they got up a few seconds later and continued to chase us.

I shouldn't harm them...

With that in mind, I placed my hands on the floor and created a wall of mud.

The children were separated from us by the wall.

Now what?

A fist punched threw the mud wall.

I made the mud soft so they wouldn't get hurt when they ran into it.

Maybe that was a mistake.

It bought us a little time though.

"What do we do?!" Nami huffed in frustration.

I sighed before using conquerors haki.

The children fell to the floor as well as Nami.

"Oops..." I sighed as I looked at Nami's unconscious body.

I forgot she would faint too.

I grabbed her arm and harshly shook her.

After a few moments, she slapped my hand away.

"Alright! I'm awake." She grumbled as she stood up and looked around in confusion, "What did you do? Did you harm the children?"

She looked angry.

I waved her off, "Relax. I just knocked them out with haki."

"You can use haki?" Nami looked at me impressed.

"Duh."

"As expected of a monster." She muttered with a sly smile.

"I heard that."

I turned around to see Mocha and the candy wrapper was empty.

It was gone.

Did she eat it...

"Chopper!" I called as he ran over.

The children started to wake up as did Mocha.

She coughed a few times and then spewed up blood.

The other children looked at her in shock, "Why is blood coming out?"

Tears rolled down Chopper's cheeks as he took in the sight.

Mocha collapsed to the ground and clutched her throat.

"I can't believe it." Nami held her hand over her mouth and looked in horror.

"The children have stopped." Robin stated.

I scooped up the sobbing Chopper and ran over to Mocha, placing him down beside her.

"That's what happens when you're greedy." One of the children stated.

"Mocha, stay with me." Chopper yelled.

"Why?" One of the children asked.

"This is what the candy really does to you!" Chopper yelled at them with tears streaming down his face, "Mocha tried to save you all by sacrificing herself."

"Chopper. If you wanna sedate them, now is the chance." Nami called to him.

"But I have to treat her first." Chopper protested.

"We have no time."

There was yelling behind us and I turned to see Sanji and some strangers.

Is that the navy?

They started bringing the children down one by one and injecting them with the sedative.

We watched in surprise as they charged around.

They carried Chopper and Mocha away so she could be treated.

The children screamed and covered their heads as debris fell towards us.

"The ceiling lifted up just now!" Sanji yelled.

"What just happened?!" Nami exclaimed in shock and confusion.

Purple gas rolled in through the crack that had been created in the wall.

"Gas is coming in from the crack." Robin informed everyone.

This is bad.

"Everyone get to building R." I stated.

The children all protested.

"This is no time to be wimps!" Sanji yelled at them in frustration, "Stand up and run!"

"Run or die." I glared at them and watched as they got shakily to their feet.

Nami smacked me lightly on the head, "That was too harsh! They're just children."

"Soon they'll be dead children if they don't get up and run." I retorted.

Nami sighed.

The children got up on shaky legs.

I turned my head when I heard footsteps coming towards us rapidly.

Zoro rounded the corner carrying Tashigi.

"You're okay, Captain." The marines yelled to her.

"We're going the wrong way." Tashigi complained.

Sanji growled at Zoro as he saw him carrying Tashigi.

"Sanji, there is no time for this. We gotta run." I disrupted his angry thoughts.

"Yes!!" Sanji followed after me with heart eyes which made Zoro glare at him.

"We're almost there. Keep running." Nami called.

Luffy was here with a pink dragon? and unconscious Brownbeard.

I stopped once we reached him and caught my breath for a few seconds.

It's too warm.

"The children!"

"See, Momo? I told you." Luffy grinned in response.

I heard more yelling as the others started to catch up.

Law and Smoker appeared from another corridor and joined us.

"Straw hat-ya, where did Caesar go?!" Law asked when he saw Luffy.

"Oh, I kicked his ass and he got blown away along with the door that way!" Luffy pointed to a gaping hole and seemingly endless passage, "How far did he go?"

"Hey, you!" Law gave him an annoyed look, "Our plan was to capture him."

"But I don't even wanna catch that bastard anymore!" Luffy complained.

"That was the plan of you like it or not! What are you gonna do if he runs away?!"

"Who cares about that jerk?!"

Law grumbled in response, "Let's go get him."

We feel your pain, Law.

We all expect something like this to happen now.

"Everyone, hurry! Get on the truck!" Law called as the children scrambled towards it.

The whole building felt like it was shaking as huge chunks of rubble fell to the ground.

"Watch your step!"

"They're not here yet." Robin commented as we watched the chaos of all the children running around.

"Yeah, that's not good." Sanji responded, "It's dangerous here. We have no time!"

"Hey, where does this passage lead to?" Nami as Law as she continued to climb onto the truck.

I started to climb up when she had reached the top.

"If we go through, we'll reach a harbour that has a tanker docked in it." Law replied.

Nami reached her hand down to me and pulled me up as I reached the top.

"That deadly gas is covering the island! Are we gonna be okay?!" Nami exclaimed.

"We have to risk exposure to the air outside in order to get on the tanker. Isn't it better than being buried under some wreckage?"

Nami sighed as she realised the danger of the situation.

An alarm sounded and the door started to close.

We all turned to look at it in surprise.

"What's that?!" One of the children called as they pointed towards something.

The gas was coming towards us.

I quickly helped everyone else onto the truck before jumping off with Nami and going to join the others in front of the door.

"What are you doing?! All of you get on." Law cried in alarm as he saw us still stood in front of the door.

"This is not 'all of us'!" Luffy retorted as he stayed glued to the spot, "Some of my crew are not here yet."

Nami sighed and whispered to me, "Those idiots are taking forever."

She said it in a harsh tone but I could tell she was worried.

I smiled, "They'll be fine.. like always."

A smile grew on Nami's face, "You're right."

The alarm blared in our ears as the door were almost shut, the gas coming closer.

"Luffy!!" Chopper cried.

After a few moments they came running through the door.

Luffy's face lit up, "It's them!"

"Mocha!!" The children cried when they saw her.

Brook jumped through the door just before it closed as Usopp came racing down the stairs.

"There's no time." Law called.

We all climbed onto the truck and got ready to set off.

"What should we do about Kin'emon?" Brook asked as he held his frozen body.

"Kin'emon?" Momo asked in surprise and turned to face us.

"What can we do? I mean, he's like..." Zoro trailed off unsurely.

I sighed and sat down, leaning against the railing.

Zoro sat down beside me and leant his head on my shoulder, while Luffy did whatever he usually does.

Robin sat down on the other side of me and started a conversation as Zoro started to fall asleep.

"It's fast." Luffy laughed.

"Hey, get off of him." Brook complained as he tried to push Momo away.

Nami turned to look at them with a surprised expression, "Why is there a dragon here?!"

"Oh, I met him at the garbage dump." Luffy commented as if it were a normal thing.

Law stepped forward so he was standing at the front of the carriage, "I don't see any light. The exit must be farther away. How far did Caesar fly?"

There was a huge explosion all of a sudden.

I closed my eyes as a blinding light filled the passageway.

Zoro wrapped his arms around me tightly and tried to shield me from whatever had just happened.

After a few moments, I opened my eyes to see more rubble falling down.

What was that?

Zoro sighed in relief as the passageway didn't cave in.

His grip on me loosened.

"If we can get out of here, we'll go separate ways." Smoker told us, "But there is something I want to ask you."

"What?" Law asked.

"I thought Caesar had my heart. How did it end up in your hands?"

"He must've got the wrong idea. To earn the trust of Caesar, I let him keep my heart and took his secretary Monet's heart in return. And then I cut your heart out when you got to the lab." Law explained, "I have his secretary Monet's heart back to him out of kindness."

The gas had started to follow us again.

The door must've been broken in the explosion.

More and more rubble was raining down on us.

"It's gonna collapse." The children cried.

"Even if we can make it out, there's gas to deal with." A marine complained as he shielded the children.

Nami stood there confidently, "Trust me."

"We can make it." Usopp smiled confidently.

The gas appeared to be at the exit too.

"Can you blow it away, Nami?" I asked.

She smiled confidently and held a part of her climtact in front of her, "Of course."

The wind sliced into the gas and seemed to disappear.

The gas was cleared as we exited the tunnel.

The train came to an eventual stop as we exited the tunnel.

There was no gas in sight.

"You made it finally." Franky called from within his robot suit.

I watched as everyone seemed to get excited again it.

"Who are they? Are they your friends?" Luffy asked Law as he looked at the two people stood in front of us.

"No. They're my enemies." Law replied as he glared at them.

The man took off into the air and started to fly like a helicopter.

"I got it." Usopp smirked as he held up his slingshot.

"I'm not afraid of enemies that are far away." Nami smirked as she assisted Usopp.

A creature seemed to grow out of his slingshot as Nami started to create thunder clouds.

I watched as they were struck and started to fall towards the sea.

Usopp shot his plant at them.

Bits of rubble smacked into them and knocked them out of the sky.
