Ch.12 God Eneru

~Y/n pov~

I sat against one of the trees next to Zoro.

He leaned closer to my ear, "I missed you."

That was the last thing I was expecting him to say.

I stared at him wide eyed with flaming red cheeks.

He smirked at me and poked my red cheeks.

I swatted his hand away and gained my composure.

"It's a miracle you got here with your sense of direction."

"Hey!" Zoro huffed and pretended to be angry.

I laughed.

"I was being serious, you know." Zoro added.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into his lap.

"Meat! Meat! Meat!" Luffy chanted as he wandered over to us and sat next to us.

He was dribbling at the thought of it as he watched it cook on the fire.

I grabbed his hand before he could put it in the fire and burn himself.

"Be patient." I scolded him, a worried frown on my face.

Luffy huffed but then noticed the exhausted expression I had.

"I'm sorry." Luffy leaned over and hugged my tightly, nuzzling his cheeks against mine.

I laughed as it started to tickle.

"Okay, okay." I gently pushed him away and he grinned when he saw my small smile.

"You should smile more, you're really pretty." Luffy suddenly complimented me, "Of course, you're always pretty though."

My heart jumped as I started to blush.

What are these boys doing to me?

I looked at the half asleep Zoro and the eating Luffy.

Sanji had finally given him so meat so he was stuffing his face.

Luffy smiled when he noticed I was looking at him.

This feeling.

I glanced at both of them as they were in their own little world.

It was then I realised that I loved them.

Nami got excited that there was supposed to be gold here and told us we were going to split up and search for it.

Searching for gold shouldn't be our main goal but of course Nami thinks it is.

We can look for the self-proclaimed God on our search.

When we woke up in the morning, Going Merry had been repaired.

Did someone repair it at night? Why?

"See it's just like I said!? Someone was here!" Usopp yelled, "I saw it! It wasn't a dream, after all!"

Nami ran her hand down the mast, "The mast was completely snapped off, but now it's all fixed."

She smiled in relief.

"Just standing this heavy thing up must be hard work by itself." Robin commented.

"There was someone here, I saw it!" Usopp muttered to himself as he paced back and forth.

"But who'd fix our ship for us out here?" Zoro asked, "The only people besides us in Upper Yard are our enemies..."

"But it's not the flying model anymore, Usopp." Luffy pointed out.

"Yeah. That's got me wondering... How did the person know what the Merry originally look d like?" Usopp sighed to himself, "How'd they know if didn't have a crest or wings or a tail?"

Nami stopped the conversation by complaining at us for messing around and telling us we have things to do.

~*~

Usopp went on the other boat and used his grappling hook to pull the Going Merry back into the water.

At least... that was the plan but the Merry was too heavy.

We all watched as the hook fell off the Merry and the boat they were in went crashing back into the water.

I watched as Usopp and Chopper talked for a few moments.

Usopp attached Chopper to a string and dangled him over the water.

"No bait! I don't wanna be eaten!" Chopper screamed with tears in his eyes.

A sky shark leapt out of the water and dove towards the screaming Chopper.

Usopp tugged him back, "Now Sanji!"

~*~

Nami showed us a map and planned out a route for us to search for the treasure.

Then we split up.

I sighed as I realised I was with Luffy and Zoro.

We're definitely going to get lost.

I followed Robin as she started to walk.

Zoro turned and started walking off.

Luffy was the first to notice, "Hey! Where you you going, Zoro?! That's the wrong way! West is this way!"

I watched as they both pointed in the wrong direction.

"It's the skull's right eye so we go right, idiot!" Zoro protested.

"Chopper, tell them south is this way." Robin told Chopper as he nodded.

I sighed.

Robin laughed at me, "We'll make it.. maybe."

"We're going south? Why didn't you say so earlier?" Luffy asked even though we did tell him earlier.

Luffy waved around a stick as he walked.

Chopper ran off to look for his own stick.

He happily walked behind all of us.

There was a weird shuffling noise.

I couldn't even begin to describe the noise.

Turning, I noticed Chopper had stopped.

"Chopper?" I asked.

The other turned to look when they heard my voice and saw that I had stopped.

"It's nothing." Chopper sounded nervous.

We all turned and began walking again.

"I sense something strange." Robin stated as she lead the group.

We all stopped again.

"Why are the roots moving?" Luffy asked.

What is that?

It was all around us.

A snake?

The ground started shaking and the snake's huge head came into view as it hissed at us, revealing its sharp fangs.

"Run! It's a giant snake!" Luffy yelled as we all started to run.

It chased after us.

Zoro stopped and went to fight it but it dove towards him so he had to jump out of the way.

I came towards me but I quickly dodged and jumped into a tree.

The snake bit into the tree.

When it let go, I realised the tree had been dissolved and the tree tipped over.

The snake was venomous.

One bite from something that big and you're dead.

"Don't touch the poison! You'll die instantly!" Zoro yelled, voicing my thoughts.

"Hey! Poisonous snake! Over here! Follow me!" Luffy yelled as he swung from a branch.

"What are you doing?!" I yelled at Luffy.

He just laughed and continued to tease the snake.

I followed him, knowing nothing good would come of this.

There was lots of shouting and yelling as we all avoided the snake.

By the time the snake had gone, I realised everyone else had disappeared.

"Where did everyone go?"

I turned and noticed I had somehow stuck with Luffy.

"Y/n! Thank god!" He beamed and bounded towards me, pulling me into his arms.

I relaxed and rested my head against his chest.

His warm breaths hit my cheek as he smiled and talked excitedly to me.

"We should go south right?" Luffy asked.

I grimaced because I had no idea which way south was.

Navigating your way through a town was different than this.

It was easier because there were landmarks and shops and you can ask people.

Here, all I could see were trees.

"I'm not sure where exactly we are." I pursed my lips, "Maybe we should just walk in a random direction and hope for the best."

Luffy nodded and let go of me, "This way."

He pointed in a random direction.

"Let's go then." I grabbed his hand and walked in the direction he pointed.

Luffy smiled and squeezed my slightly smaller hand in his.

He swung our hands back and forth childishly as we walked.

I turned to observe his face.

He was looking forward with a cheerful expression and cute smile.

My cheeks flushed as I wondered how it was fair for someone to be so cute.

Luffy was humming softly and it didn't take long for the hums to turn into words as he started to sing to himself.

"The islands in the south are warm. Pineapple-ple head all warm, what a dummy..." he sang.

I laughed at his weird lyrics.

There was the sound of a goat that made us freeze.

"A goat? Was that a goat?" Luffy asked as he started to look around, "Where is it?"

Someone appeared behind us and went behind us, attempting to punch us.

We both turned around and Luffy punched him in the face.

The man crumpled to the ground.

Luffy frowned. "Aww, man! Jerk got my hopes up. And I was all excited to see a goat."

I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Come on, Luffy." I told him.

He smiled at me and ran back over, grabbing my hand again.

We started walking and Luffy started singing again.

"Second verse! The islands in the north are cold... All chilly-like, head all shivery, what a dummy..."

"What are you doing here? I warned you to leave this island."

We turned and saw that man from earlier. The one who claimed he wanted to kill Eneru.

He looked beat up.

"Shut up!" Luffy replied, "I can do what I want."

"No, you can't. This island belongs to us Shandians!"

"Eh? It does? I thought it was God's..."

"I don't want to hear any of your garbage. I just want to eliminate you." He pointed his gun at us.

"Oh?" Luffy threw away his stick and let go off my hand.

He then readied himself to fight.

The man tried to shoot up but it was very effective as bullet just bounced off Luffy and I could easily deflect them.

"Try all you want, it's no use! Not even cannons or guns work on me!" Luffy told the man.

"You're not going to win like that." I stated.

"Then I guess I'll change my style."

He loaded his gun again.

This gust of air came out.

I covered my mouth immediately in case it was poisonous.

Luffy coughed.

My eyes widened as the gun lit up with a blue light.

I grabbed Luffy and pulled him out of the way.

The tree behind us was destroyed.

The man was no where in sight.

He suddenly appeared behind us and swung at us.

He used that as a distraction. He's good.

~*~

There was a huge final blast sent at us that blew us away.

I winced and closed my eyes.

A sudden falling sensation came over me.

My eyes snapped open as I fell, darkness surrounded me.

Luffy screamed beside me as we both fell.

Why are we falling?

The falling stopped after what felt like forever.

I felt the air leave my lungs as I crashed to the ground.

I took in a gasp of air and sat up, looking at our surroundings.

The floor was sandy and there were ruins surrounding us.

What used to be buildings, now crumbled walls and rubble.

I stood up and offered Luffy my hand.

He grabbed it and pulled himself up, stepping closer to me as he looked at the unfamiliar surroundings.

I ruffled his hair, making him smile.

"We should find a way out of here." I stated as I started walking.

Luffy ran to catch up with me and held my hand in his.

~*~

My feet started to grow tired as we had been walking for God knows how long.

There was a female voice filling the area.

My head perked up as I noticed the annoyed and angry tone.

Was that Nami?

Luffy was walking almost lifelessly beside me.

My hand tugged him and urged him to continue walking.

I walked past all the rumble and noticed Nami and some others.

They all seemed cautious of us.

Tears filled Luffy's eyes when he saw other people, "Nami! Old guy!"

"You..." Gan Fall looked at him in shock.

"Y/n! Luffy!" Nami exclaimed once she saw us.

"What're you doing?! In a mystery cave like this?!" Luffy asked.

"What are you doing in a place like this?" Nami asked as we stopped in front of her.

"What place even is this?" I asked, "We were fighting one minute and the next we were falling."

"To think you were swallowed by the snake too." Nami stated.

"So that's what happened." I looked around and noticed the weird looking walls, "Why is all this rubble in a snake's stomach?"

"What snake?" Luffy asked with a surprised expression, "That must've been terrible. So you guys were eaten by a snake, huh?"

Nami clenched her teeth and gave him an annoyed look, "Like I said.. so we're you! We're inside the snake's stomach!"

She grabbed his nose and pulled it.

"Don't pull my nose." Luffy complained, his voice sounding weird.

His nose was still long so he grinned and placed his hands on his lips.

"Usopp impression!"

A few seconds later his nose went back to normal and he whined while rubbing it.

"Who is this idiot?" This midget asked Nami.

"I'd rather not say this, but he's the captain of our ship." Nami frowned to herself.

Luffy turned to me with teary eyes, "Nami's a meanie."

He spread his arms out and silently demanded to be hugged.

I pulled him into my arms and he wrapped his arms around my waist tightly, snuggling into my embrace.

"You must be really slow, not even noticing that you were eaten." The girl stated.

Well I didn't notice either but how could I?

Am I slow?

Luffy gasped and turned to stare at her, "Then this place is inside that giant snake's stomach?!"

"That's what I've been telling you. Your clothes have melted too." Nami sighed.

"Then let's look for its butthole right away." Luffy stated.

Nami gave him an angry look and slapped him, "Just where are you planning to escape from?!"

Luffy gave her a confused expression, "We were eaten, so why not just go plop plop out of its butt?"

"No, I'd rather melt!" Nami karate chopped his head.

I pulled Luffy closer to me and back into my arms to stop Nami from hitting him anymore.

"And you." Nami turned to me with an annoyed look.

I raised an eyebrow at her and stared at her with a blank expression which made her lose her confidence.

"Nothing. Please protect me." She begged.

"Sure." I responded.

Nami smiled and moved to stand close to me.

I bet she was prepared to use me as a human shield.

A look of realisation came onto Nami's face as she turned to Luffy, "Were you causing a ruckus in here this whole time?"

Luffy smiled and placed his hand on the back of his hat, "Yeah. I thought I could break the walls."

Nami gave him a very angry look but didn't try to punch him after I sent her a glare.

She stomped hard on the ground in frustration.

The ground suddenly started to shake and we all fell, letting out yells.

I pulled Luffy close and tried to shield him with my body.

I got winded as I hit the hard ground.

Luffy grunted and then sat up.

I nudged him and pushed him off.

Luffy grabbed my arm and pulled me up and out of the rubble, his hand feathering over my skin as he gently brushed off any dirt.

A few shiver went up my spine because of the gentle touch.

"Are you okay?" Luffy frowned once he realised I protected him.

I smiled at him to try and reassure him, "I'm fine."

"Is everyone okay?" Luffy called.

Nami stood up and quickly ran over to us both.

I turned and noticed Gan Fall and that girl.

She quickly stood up and pointed her weapon at him, "He's our enemy! An enemy who took away the Shandians homeland! I'll take his head!"

"What's the point of taking the head of the weird knight here?!" Nami tried to reason with her.

"Before Eneru showed up, he was the leader of the Skypieans! The Skypieans, who drove us Shandians out of our homeland!"

"That was four hundred long years ago, right?" Nami huffed.

"If you will be satisfied with taking my head, than so be it. But the way things are now, taking my head alone wouldn't settle thing." Gan Fall finally spoke up as he pushed himself up.

~*~

The ground shook again and we all started to fall.

I could see a light really far away which must mean we were near the snake's mouth again.

Nami screamed for a few seconds before getting her bearings.

"Luffy, Y/n, grab onto the waver."

We both complied as Nami jumped into the drivers part and set off towards the light.

Luffy and I were curled up on the other part of the waver.

I was sat on Luffy's lap and his arms held me tightly so I wouldn't fall.

My hands held onto the waver tightly, securing us in place.

It only took a few seconds before the waver came flying out of the snake's mouth.

Nami let out a startled yell as we were falling through the air.

We were going to fall.

"No!" Nami cried as tears welled up in her eyes.

I laughed lightly at her and jumped out of the waver.

With amazing timing, I cushioned my impact with water so I didn't get hurt at all from the fall.

Luffy landed beside me a few moments later.

Nami crashed into the ground but didn't get injured.

The snake looked around and it looked like it was about to cry.

It was then electrocuted.

"Nami's in there!" A familiar voice exclaimed.

I looked to my right and saw Zoro and Robin.

"Zoro? Robin?" Nami asked.

"Oh you were there." Zoro sighed, "What are Luffy and Y/n also doing here? Well at least we all met up again."

Luffy laughed, "We were swallowed by a snake."

Zoro gave him an unimpressed look.

We hid as a conversation went on between the man named Eneru and those people from earlier.

"I'm just having fun. This is a survival game to see how many people out of eighty one, including me, are staring three hours after you all entered this island." Eneru laughed.

He sounds full of himself and he's abusing his power.

"You okay?" Zoro asked quietly as he looked at my injuries.

"Nothing serious." I replied.

Zoro visibly relaxed and sat beside me.

"In three minutes, it'll be three hours. I'm other words, or won't do if there's six people here right now."

Zoro moved away to stand back near Robin when Eneru wouldn't notice.

Nami and Luffy were hiding with me.

We were keeping our presence hidden for now.

I knew Nami was doing it out of fear but I wanted to see how this would play out.

He was so powerful. He was easily beating Zoro and Robin.

I noticed Luffy had fallen asleep.

Now of all times, really?

I moved away in a safer spot and got ready to fight as well.

Looking back to the spot I was in before, I noticed Nami was gone.

Had she snuck off again?

It was then I noticed Eneru was gone as well.

I cursed under my breath and shook Luffy with urgency.

It took him a few moments to wake up as he shuffled and try to push my hands away.

He blinked up at me tiredly with a look of confusion.

"I think Eneru took Nami. And he easily beat Robin and Zoro." I frowned at the thought.

An angry look replaced Luffy tired and confused expression.

"Where is that bastard?! I'll beat him up." Luffy growled.

We asked Robin where he went before quickly making our way in the direction she told us to go.

~*~

"Are you that Eneru guy?!" Luffy yelled.

Nami looked at us with relief in her eyes.

"What're you doing.. to my friends?!" Luffy asked with a pissed off expression.

"Which of that trash are you talking about?"

"Stay right there! I'm gonna beat the crap outta you."

Luffy sent me a look which meant stay back.

I understood. It was his fight.

"Watch your mouth. I am God." Eneru responded.

"Like I care!"

Eneru tried to electrocute Luffy but I knew it wouldn't work.

He's rubber after all.

Eneru sent a stronger beam of lightning his way.

Luffy remained unaffected even by one hundred volts.

"Enough.. already!" Luffy punched Eneru away with an annoyed expression.

Eneru's mouth hung open as he stared at Luffy in shock.

He was probably wondering how it didn't work.

Luffy charged towards Eneru and punched him hard in the gut.

Eneru wheezed for breath and fell onto the floor.

~*~

A lot had happened and we finally won the battle.

Everyone was injured but it was nothing serious.

Luffy was exhausted and ended up falling asleep on the floor.

I scooped him up and held him to my chest.

The cute boy curled his body into mine and smiled softly in his sleep.

There was a warm feeling in my chest as I stared down at him.

I carried him to the ship and placed him in his hammock.

He mumbled in his sleep and held onto my hand, cradling it to his chest.

The door clicked open.

I turned and noticed the small blue-nose reindeer.

"Can you move Luffy onto a bed? I want to properly take care of his injuries." Chopper asked.

"Okay." I lifted Luffy back up and the smile was back on his face as he curled into me.

Chopper walked out and I walked behind him as he lead me to the room he claimed as his own.

It had two beds and lots of cabinets Chopper had filled with herbs and medicines.

I placed Luffy down on the fluffy white bed and let him rest.

Chopper smiled, "Thanks."

I brushed my hand through his fur softly, "No, thank you."

I flashed him a rare smile before leaving.

As soon as I closed the door I heard Chopper yell after me about not wanting the compliment.

Chuckling to myself, I stuck my hands in my pockets and wondered off.

My mind drifted and I was in my own little world as I walked on the beach and stared at the sea.

I almost didn't notice when I was about to walk into someone else.

My mind blanked as I stopped in my tracks.

I blinked and broke out of my little daydream before tilting my head upwards.

Zoro raised an eyebrow at me.

"Sorry." I muttered.

Zoro laughed, "You okay?"

"Yeah. I can't wait to get back to the real sea." I stated while staring out at the sky sea."

He sighed in response, "I know what you mean. It's weird up here. Though coming here was pretty cool."

I hummed in agreement.

We stood there in silence for a few moments.

This is nice.

I jumped slightly as a warm hand held mine.

Turning to face Zoro, I saw him facing in the opposite direction with pink cheeks.

"Let's go." He started dragging me in the opposite direction of the boat.

I giggled at him, my sad mood being forgotten.

"You're going the wrong way." I told him.

"You're the one leading us!" Zoro retorted.

I raised an eyebrow at him and started pulling him in the right direction.

He quickly caught up so we could walk side by side.

Our hands swung slightly and the sand crunched beneath our shoes as we finally were on our way.

We made it to the ship and climbed on.

It looked like everyone was already here.

Zoro slipped his hand out of mine and went towards the mast to sleep.

Luffy ran over to me with a grin.

Most of his injuries looked like they were gone already.

"Shouldn't you be in bed." I raised an eyebrow at him.

"No." He lied.

"It's fine as long as you're feeling better."

Luffy grinned at that, "Let's go!"

I watched as Conis waved to us cheerfully.

"Bye!" I yelled, flashing her a small smile.

The boat rapidly went down the stream.

"Be careful while dropping." Conis yelled.

What? I blinked and noticed we were falling towards the ocean at a fast pace.

Goodbye life.

An octopus shot out of the sky sea and grabbed onto our boat.

It was acting as some sort of parachute.

Luffy laughed as we slowly floated down.

Well I guess I'm not dying today then.
