Aphmau's pov

It had been two months since I was saved and I feel incredibly lonely. Every night I dreamt about the expression Laurence made when we were leaving. I looked out my window and saw a large boat above Phoenix Drop. It was his boat! I grabbed the pocket watch and swam through the streets. Some people were freaking out because of a net and I just looked up at the boat.

"Laurence..." I whispered. Why is my heart beating so fast? I waited till dusk and I saw Laurence pull up the net. I swam to the other side of the boat and swam to the surface. I meant to just toss the pocket watch onto the boat but when I tossed it it hit Laurence in the head. I knew I couldn't talk to him so I started to swim back to my house when I heard "Hey wait! Come back!"

I turned around and saw that same expression he made when I left with Aaron. It broke my heart to see and he stared at me. I smiled sadly at him and turned away and left. I noticed his boat leave and he was heading in the direction of Meteli. "W-wait!" I yelled out but I knew he couldn't hear me. I started chasing after the boat and it soon docked at Meteli.

I watched from far away and Laurence jumped out of the boat and swam to the dock. Then, a man put a sword to Laurence's throat and I yelled "Sto-" I cut myself off by covering my mouth with my hands. I watched as the man tied Laurence's hands behind his back and disappear into Meteli. Oh please work. I swam to a different part of Meteli and crawled up on land.

It took a few hours but my tail started to shine and it disappeared. I was in that short white dress again and I stood up. I still wasn't used to this but I tried to keep my balance. I walked into Meteli and hid in the crowd hoping I didn't smell like fish. I noticed people staring at me and I smiled awkwardly and kept walking. I was walking this one path when I saw a door leading into the ground.

I slowly opened it and saw cracked old stone stairs. Curiosity got the better of me and I walked down the stairs. There were jail cells on every wall and I could hear coughing from the farthest side of the room. "Stop Vincent!" An orange haired girl yelled with tears rolling down her face. I noticed a dark brown cloak hanging on the wall and I grabbed it and put it on.

I pulled the hood up hiding my face and the girl screamed out "Vincent stop! Laurence doesn't deserve this!" I couldn't get close enough to see what was happening but I could tell it wasn't good. "Vincent! As your lord, STOP!" The girl screamed again tears flooding out her eyes. "Tsk, fine." A man with red eyes left the cell and grabbed the orange haired girl by the arm.

"We are leaving." He said as he locked the cell. I hid behind a pillar and they left. I walked to the cell and looked inside. Laurence! He had shackles on his wrists and the shackles were attached to the wall. Laurence had blood rolling down his chin and cheek. That man beat him. I ran and grabbed the keys and unlocked the cell. "Heh, not done with me yet?" Laurence asked as he looked up.

He froze when he saw me. I had pulled down the hood so he was looking at my face and I looked at him concerned. "A-Aphmau.....?"
