I slumped my back against the wall. I tried to regain control of my breathing.

This is it. I finally did it. I am now Alpha.

I allowed myself to smile. I rarely smile nowadays due to what happened--No, I won't think of the past.

"Congratulations," Chaos said, he seemed genuinely happy. "Your hardwork paid off. You are now Alpha."

"Thanks," I answered back gratefully.

I saw Silena Beauregard by the stands smiling (Yes, she's alive and well. Chaos brought her back, along with a few others). She gave me a thumbs-up.

"You did well, Piper." Luke Castellan commented.

"You look good for a person who just got defeated," Was my response.

He smiled. "Yeah, well, it isn't the first time I got defeated."

"Still though, you did a good job."

"Same to you."

"Hello?" Silena called out. "Are we just going to stand here the whole day?"

"Coming!" Luke shouted back. "Let's go?"

I nodded my head.

"You know, you look a lot better when you smile." He confessed.

I made my smile vanish. "Well, don't get used to it."

We went to the dining hall. It looked like a golden hallway with a huge crystal chandelier hanging over it. There was a long, rectangular table. The table was made of wood covered with golden specks. The chairs were the same.

I went to my respective seat. Silena to my left and Bianca to my side.

The only weird thing was that the only one's in the hall were me. Silena and Luke. Usually by this time this place would be noisy and full of "supposedly" dead demigods...Weird.

I didn't mind it though, I just continued eating my salad. Yes, I'm still vegetarian.

"Where...are...the others?" Luke asked, in between botes of his burger.

Silena pointed her fork at Luke. "Manners, please."

"Sorry." Luke wiped his mouth with his arm. "So?"

"They must be in their rooms, the Game Room or in the Library." I answered.

Then all of a sudden the lights turned off.

"Wait, what?"

"SUPRISE!!!" The word rang in my ears.

Then all the lights turned on. I saw everyone. All the soldiers...the friends that would never betray me. But, where was Ethan Nakamura?

"Congrats, Beauty Queen!" Leo exclaimed throwing his arms up in the air. "You finally did it!"

"Congratulations, Piper." Calypso said as she wrapped her right arm around Leo's waist.

Yeah, Leo and Calypso were here. Luckily, after they flew out of Ogygia without any place to go to nor a plan Chaos found them and introduced them to the Army.

///Flashback///

I sat outside of Chaos' throne room, trying to control my tears. He told me there was a surprise waiting for me. I sarted fiddling with my fingers to forget my troubles.

That was when I heard Leo's voice.

"Why are you crying, Beauty Queen?"

My head immediately went up and i looked at Leo with unbelieving eyes.

"What?" He asked. "Is there something on my face?"

i just shook my head and jumped up and hugged him. Then i looked at his face in wonder.

"L-Leo," I stuttered. "i-I thought you were dead."

"I am,"  He replied.

My eyes widened.

"But," He continued. " Chaos brought me back. Along with Calypso. "

I smiled. At least he gets to be with a person who truly loves him...

Calypso walked out of the throne room.

"Hello, you must be Piper." She stretched out her hand. "nice to meet you."

I took her hand and shook it. 

"Same to you," i replied.

"So, Piper." Leo looked around. "Where's jason and why were you srying?"

i took a shaky breath and explained to him what happened.

After that Leo was furious.

"How could he do that to you?! Why? I thought he was a good person!"

"I'm so sorry, Piper." Calypso looked genuinely sorry.

"It's okay," i told them. "I'll become stronger. I'll rise to the top of this Army. Become one of its leaders. i'll prove that I don't need Jason to help me."

Calypso smiled. "Piper, I believe in you."

Calypso's words were the ones that kept me going. They gave me hope. 

I will become stronger. You'll see Jason. I don't need you, anymore.

///Flashback///

Then Ethan ran into the hall.

He looked at me with eyes that clearly said: Bad News.

I walked towards him.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Chaos," He explained. " There's one more thing he needs you to do before he officially gives you the rank of Alpha.

"What is it?" i asked once more.

He looked as if he was about to talk but...

"I'm sorry, I don't wish to speak of it. Here." He handed me a brown envelope. "that'll explain everything."

He walked  away and stood by Beckendorf who had his arm wrapped around Silena and Bianca di Angelo who was talking to Zoe Nightshade.

I slowly opened the envelope. There was a bond paper inside. Written on it was:

Mission #3476:

Squadron Needed: Omega Squadron

Mission Leader: Alpha (Piper Mclean)

Objectives: Defeat the Titans, the Giants and Gaea

Other thing were written on it but, I couldn't let myself continue because I was already mad.

I tried to take deep breaths but, they came out as short, paced once.

I don't want to go back. I cannot go back. I won't go back.

But, is it worth it? Is losing my rank worth it? Is losing all my hard-work, trying to become stronger, worth it?

I believe in you...

If I reject this, I lose my rank as Alpha. I'll lose all my hard-work. I'll lose the meaning of those words.

Calypso believes in me. She believed that I could become stronger. I forced myself into reading the whole paper.

I don't need to reveal my identity...Phew.

How would I react if I see him again?

Sometimes, every reward comes with a price...

Leo and Calypso...Leo had to die in order for the two of them to be together.

Percy and Annabeth...they had to fall into Tartarus but at least they were together...

What about those who didn't betray me? Percy, Annabeth, Frank, Hazel, Lacy, my half-sister, Chiron...

What would they think of me? Would they hate me for leaving without any warning?

Just because two persons hurt me...Even if one of them was my friend and the other ex-boyrfiend. Was it worth it, that I'd leave all my friends behind and all the people I love and...Dad.

it's been a thousand Chaos years since I left.

Were they even alive?

Every reward comes with a price

I'm going to take that risk.
