This is why I write - a letter from me, to you:

To bring hope, amidst an often tragic world, until hope may be a memory. There are thieves in this world who withhold opportunity, and steal from the innocent these things: wonder, dignity, and joy. For those who have been stolen from: I urge you to forgive, lest you be found wanting, and perhaps become thieves as well. You may find forgiveness sets you soaring above many oppressions, as if they did not exist, and will grant you greater opportunities than those kept from your grasp.

I'm not a reputable writer at the moment, though I hope to make history of that fact. I love people, and I wanted to create a gift that I could give to the entire world; young and old. I hope to offer inspiration. The reason: I believe inspiration changes the world, and I write because I find three things to be compounding and true: Humanity is mad. We do not mean to be; and we have become this way because we lack whimsey. 

My dear reader, whomever you may be: I hope my works serve their purpose. I hope they outlast my life, and restore a little whimsey to you, so that you may bound past all your Fears and make wondrous memories of your achievements.

As you read, it is my hope that you will find yourself desiring to put good into the world, and yearning to accomplish long-dormant dreams of your own. I write to you, because I believe you have what it takes to do these very things. I believe everyone is worthy of love and inspiration - and even thieves are worthy of redemption.

The path before you is trodden for the first time by your unfamiliar feet - and when you glance about: you'll find many along with you. Neither are you alone now, nor have you ever been; you've only forgotten to glance.

Three reasons I chose to write this story using wattpad: 

Synopsis of the three points below: I want my story to be read and enjoyed by many. I want to impact more than I want a paycheck. Both would be nice

1) 70% of readers today use digital platforms.
2) I believe wattpad gives a fair chance to anyone on this platform who is willing to put forth good effort, and participate in community. I believe, if my work is good enough, it can be traditionally published through this platform.
3) On the debate between making money via the pursuit of traditional publishing, versus putting my story out there: I think it is much more important to put my ideas and stories in front of as many people as possible. Through wattpad, I can put my story and its message in front of many readers, easily. Through traditional publishing, my book may be shelved with little to no consideration. On this platform: I can receive quality feedback, and perhaps even climb the ranks in order to have a greater impact on many through my stories. Don't we all want to make an impact through the things we spend time on?
