006

Jimin took a deep breath as he eyed the building that sat to his left. The sun makes the already shiny and clean building blinding. He grabbed his phone out of the cup holder and held it tightly before checking the time. 11:30 is what the white numbers read on his colorful blue-light screen. He inhaled before grabbing his keys and getting out of the car. He pulled his shorts down and fixed his off the shoulder white top before shutting his car door and locking it. The two beeps confirmed he had secured his car. He walked across the parking lot to the glass automatic doors, where he could see a young woman with a tight knot on the top of her hair, the color of a gloomy sky. His soft pink sneakers crunching the gravel beneath his feet as he approached the doors.

Once he was close enough, the doors zoomed open. The cool air inside the building rushing to meet his warm skin. He walked up to the woman and smiled at her as she looked up.

"Are you here for the auditions?" She asks as he looks away from her computer and keyboard she was recently abusing.

"Oh, yes." Jimin nods as he slides his tiny computer into the pack pocket of his pure bunny white shorts.

"Okie dokie, the room is on the fourth floor in room 409. You'll probably hear music coming for the room anyway." She shows off her perfectly straight and white teeth.

"Okay, thank you so much." Jimin whispers with a small bow before making his way to the elevator.

He clicks the protruding button with a white glow around it. He nervously swings his keys back and forth as he waits for the big metal doors to push open. Once they do, he walks in and clicks the button with the glowing red "4" stenciled into it. The doors slowly closed, cutting off his view of the glass doors and the young woman sitting at the desk. He counted in his head as the lined red numbers quickly flickered to the next number. Once the small black screen read "04" the metal doors pushed open and the sound of music came rushing to the candy haired boy.

He stepped out of the elevator and followed the blaring sound, eventually approaching an area where the rooms were all glass but it was slightly murky, so that you could only make out figures. No details. The music abruptly stopped, then it was quiet before the doors burst open. A red head close to tears pushes her way past Jimin, mumbling something to herself. Jimin's eyes were blown up by the gust of wind that passed by him.

He turned his phone on "Do Not Disturb" before walking to the door. Opening it and peeking in to see two men speaking with each other before noticing him.

"Come in." One man with a mop of darkness on top of his head spoke. He had just taken his baseball cap off and sat it down before rubbing his eyes.

The silver haired man next to him sighed before writing something down on a piece of paper in front of him. The door behind Jimin opened and the two men on his phone background walked in.

"Where did you two go? It doesn't take fourteen minutes to get coffee." The onyx haired man groaned as he leaned back.

The man with dark brown hair who Jimin could remember was named Jungkook, laughed before setting his cup down.

"Hyung said he wanted to let his ears relax after the guy that came in before we left. He swore he went deaf."

"Wow, can't believe you snitched on me Kook." The man with blue raspberry dyed hair tsked.

"Hello." He smiled at Jimin.

"Hi." Jimin bowed.

"He's quite... pink." Jungkook whispered to Taehyung who smacked his arm.

Jimin's grip on his shirt got tighter as he bit his lip.

"Whenever you're ready?" The onyx haired man nods as he sits up.

Jimin fills his lungs with as much air as he can, hoping it'll calm his nerves. He closes his eyes and keeps them closed as his heart beat is loud in his ears. His stomach is tight and his hands are slippery.

"You say we're nothin but stupid teens." He finally vocalizes, echoing through the empty pure white room.

Jungkook and Taehyung look at each other with wide eyes and flared nostrils. Their debut song. No one had dared to try and sing that.

"But I say you're just being mean. You don't understand what we go through~ No~" Jimin sang, his hands moving slightly as he kept his eyes shut.

The silver haired man sat back with wide eyes and his mouth open as the candy haired boy continued to sing acapella.

"I've been crying and dying and wondering why I'm here~ Ooh." He sang.

He could hear whispers and feared they were debating how to let him down easy.

"You underestimate what I know. What I feel. And what I can understand." Jimin hums as he feels tears slowly well up in his eyes, truly believing that he will be shunned once again.

"Okay, that's enough."

Jimin stops and opens his eyes after blinking a few times.

"I'm glad we came back." Taehyung smiled as he leaned forward on his elbows.

"I like your sound." Taehyung hums as his index finger is extended towards Jimin.

"No one's ever tried singing 'Let Down Generation' before." Jungkook chuckled as he dropped his pen down.

"You got Yunsoo's part down beautifully."

Jimin felt hope arise throughout his body as a smile spread across his face.

"Thank you so much." Jimin bowed to the four men.

"Is there a way we can contact you?" The silver haired man asked.

"Oh! Yes." Jimin takes out his phone and looks up to ask if he can approach the table.

They nod and he slowly walks over. They give him a piece of paper and a pencil and he writes down his Instagram named and phone number.

"We'll contact you if we choose you." The onyx haired man smiled.

"Yes, thank you for the opportunity." Jimin bowed once more with a huge smile on his face as he released a breath he didn't know he was holding.

He happily left the building and once he got outside, feeling the sun on his face, he released a sound of pure joy as he faced up towards the sun.

They gave him a chance. So maybe this time, it'll be different.
