Y/n's pov

it's been years since i've seen any of the hargreeves siblings but why would i expect anything else I'm not anything special and they are yet somehow I never anticipated us all hanging out till they were put in the spotlight and I was left in the dust all alone these days I volunteer at a rehab center 

"Hey Y/n we got a new one today" a fellow volunteer told me "this dude's been in and out of rehabs for the past 7 years goes by the name of Klaus hargreaves"your eyes widened at the name

"kl-klaus hargreaves" you couldn't believe it you hadn't expected to see any of the siblings ever again nor did you want to "why are you telling me this aren't newcomers your job"

"Usually, yes but I have an audition today " I sighed how could I say no"please just this once" I knew it wouldn't be none the less I always said yes

"Yea ok just promise me you won't forget me when you make it big time" i giggled as I watched her smile grow

"I promise I won't, any way you should probably go get klaus" I groan and trudged where I came face to face with the infamous Klaus Hargreaves 

might as well dive head first into that pool of crazy

"Good morning and good day sir" I fake smiled as I pretended I didn't recognize him "are you Klaus Hargreaves?"

"I know who it is thank you very much!" Klaus hissed at the air next to him

ghost I presume

"Excuse me?" I smiled deciding to play stupid

"Give the act up Y/n" Klaus said"we've known each other for years of course i recognize you"

"Correction we knew each other" I paused, reliving those horrid memories"You know before you all abandoned me."

klaus looked like a kicked puppy and for a second, just a second I had forgotten what he'd done

"are you gonna check in or not" I glanced at the air klaus had just been talking to"Who were you just talking to?"

"Ben" Klaus replied bluntly

MY heart stopped"What?" I croaked "H-How did it happen"

I know I always resented those siblings after they got all high and mighty but never once did I ever wish harm on any of them

"That doesn't matter" Klaus sighed "look Y/n we never wanted to leave you behind but once we became official superheroes"

"you were to busy to hang with the loner with no friend" I spat at him

"Busy ,yes but it had nothing to do with you"I look at my feet as he continued"they all loved you like a sister"

I furrowed my eyebrows"they, what about you?"I questioned

"you were just someone i was pining after desperately"he let out a dramatic sigh"I was devastated when we couldn't see you anymore"I giggled as Klaus theatrics 

"Why would you pine after me?" I cocked my head to the side

"don't you mean, why am I pining after you"I looked at him wide eyed"because you are and you always have been absolutely beautiful" I slowly smiled as I realized that despite everything that they had done I would no longer hold a grudge against the Hargreaves siblings 

"Alright then how about when you get out of here sober I take you to lunch" I smiled brightly at him I knew the whole sober thing was an empty threat but its worth a shot

"A date yea that would be amazzzing" Klaus smiled too

long story short when klaus got out he didn't stay sober but the date went so well I couldn't leave him especially after we got the news Reginald Hargreaves was dead
