Yuga was happily walking through the hallways of Goha #7 Elementary and had greeted someone who was just walking by. "You're in a good mood," Yusei noted.
Before Yuga could answer him though, Luke ran up to him with an excited look on his face. "Yuga! Yuga! Check this out! There's going to be a new column in the School Newspaper where yours truly will be answering fan mail!" He showed him the newspaper.
"Hmm? OH NO!" Yuga cried out in shock.
"I know, there's no name for it which is why I need your help in figuring out what to call it," Luke said but Yuga wasn't paying attention to what Luke was saying.
"R-Ramen Hut is closing down?" He asked. "What's Ramen Hut?" Yusei asked. Only the best place to eat ramen! It's one of my favorite places to go in the whole wide world! Yuga explained.
They didn't notice at first but after Yuga told the news of Ramen Hut, some people heard him and crowded around the two while looking at the news. Some were just as concerned as Yuga is. Luke wasn't paying attention to this though.
"What's going on?" Romin asked as she and Gakuto walked up to them. "Ramen Hut is closing down," Yuga replied, sadly.
"No way, that's an emergency," Gakuto admitted. "We have to do something! I'm not letting this slide," Yuga said, determined and they walked away, leaving Luke behind as he was saying some names for his side of the newspaper.
(Later)
Yuga, Gakuto, Romin, Kaizo and Yusei arrived at Ramen Hut. "You see, the ramen here is really tasty and the atmosphere is quite homey as well," Yuga explained on the way.
"Please excuse the interruption," Gakuto said as he walked in and looked around. "...it's empty," he said and he was right. It was just tables, a bar table and someone crouched in the corner.
"Looks like the only thing full is the menu but look at that. So many options," Romin said as she looked at them.
"Welcome...," a weak voice from the corner said and she jumped in surprise.
"Oh that's just the owner. Hi!" Yuga waved before walking up to him. "Hey, is it true that Ramen Hut is closing down?" He asked.
"Yes, because of that new restaurant that just opened up. That new restaurant in the urban district is taking all the customers away," the owner explained.
"New restaurant?" Yuga asked, confused. "Oh I think I know the one. It's called AI Restaurant. It's said to be a stylish restaurant with cutting edge AI that can cook," Romin replied.
"But that is not how food should be made! But...that's why I decided to close down the restaurant but not before I made one last bowl of ramen. So please...LET ME MAKE ONE LAST BOWL!" The owner cried and lunged towards them only to fall flat on his face as the kids ran away.
"Ok...he scared me there, not going to lie," Yuga admitted when they got outside. "How is anyone supposed to enjoy ramen when the shopkeeper is like that?" Gakuto cried.
"I kind of get where he's coming from because look. His shop isn't the only place in danger of closing," Romin pointed out to the empty street with some shops having boarded up windows.
"It's like a ghost town here," Gakuto said.
"Kaizo! What's the probability of Ramen Hut shutting down?" Yuga asked. "According to my analysis, the chances of Ramen Hut shutting down, I'd say that after five hours, the chances will be 99.9%!" Kaizo explained.
"Interesting," Yuga made a thinking face before Romin said, "What's so interesting about it?"
"We still have 0.1% to fix this! This is my Road!" Yuga cheered, pumping his fist into the air.
(Later)
"Well first, we need to find out how popular our competition is! And that's why we're here," Yuga declared and pointed to AI Restaurant. It was large, shiny and had large screens showing off the food.
"Wow, so this is AI Restaurant," Gakuto noted as they stared at the building and Romin added, "look at that line. It seems like it's really popular as well." She was referring to the long, long line.
"It'll be a grueling task just waiting to get inside but we can do this," Yuga assured them and he started to approach the line.
"Stop!" A black robot appeared with an X on its screen. A Goha Enterprises Drone? Yuga thought. The drone began to say, "you will not be allowed to enter."
"What? How come?" Yuga asked, surprised. "AI Restaurant uses facial recognition software and we refuse entry to those who look suspicious based on recognizing the faces of troublemakers," the drone explained.
"But we're not troublemakers," Yuga said. "Oh really? Based on your face alone, there's a high probability that you are a spy who is here to discover the secrets of this restaurant!" The drone declared. "Wow, spot on! This technology is amazing!" Yuga exclaimed with stars in his eyes.
"Now isn't the time to be admiring it," Romin sighed and Yusei sighed alongside her.
"Well, allow me to go through. I am the successor of the Sogetsu style, to a pedigree lineage and for being an upstanding citizen-," Gakuto started but the drone said, "also denied."
"WHAT?! WHY?" Gakuto complained. "Well our software has determined that you have a high probability of being a chronic complainer," the drone explained.
Gakuto grabbed the shoulders of the drone and began to violently shake it while shouting, "what do you mean by that? What does that even mean, you insolent drone!" The drone, now dizzy from the shaking, said, "please leave. You are disturbing the customers." Everyone in the line was staring at the eleven year olds with confusion on their looks.
Soon later, Gakuto was staring at himself in a mirror and murmured darkly, "choosing customers based on their faces is outrageous." "Well your face managed to get us banned from there, like forever!" Romin snapped at him.
If only other people could see you, then you'll be able to go in for us, Yuga said and looked at Yusei. "I doubt it," he said and reached to touch a line on his face which perked Yuga's curiosity. He decided to put that away for later as there were other matters at hand.
"Well there's one person who can go in," Yuga started and both Romin and Gakuto looked at him with curiosity. "It's Kaizo. I can modify him to look like one of the drones working there," Yuga explained.
"Wait what?" Kaizo asked and Yuga took out some tools that were in his pockets. Yes, Yuga carries around tools like someone carrying a pack or two of gum. He's just like that.
He began to modify Kaizo and once he was done, he placed a white cloth over Kaizo's head. "There! Now you look like a home delivery drone!" Yuga said, dusting his hands off. "I just look ridiculous," Kaizo deadpanned.
"Now all you have to do is to go in and investigate," Yuga said but Kaizo immediately refused. "No! I will not be going in like this!" That's what Kaizo said.
"Looking good there though, Kaizo. The hat suits you, I'll be counting on you," Romin said with a smile. "Ok! I'm going in!" Kaizo said and zoomed away.
"I thought you said that you were going to check his code," Yusei said with a glance at Yuga. I'm working on it! It's harder than it looks. Surprisingly, Yuga thought a red tick mark appeared on his head.
Yusei was about to say something when he saw something moving in the corner of his eye. "Hmm?" He fully turned around as Yuga and his friends were leaving. What's wrong? Yuga asked. "I thought I saw another ghost," Yusei replied. Another ghost? That's not uncommon here. What did they look like? Yuga asked.
"Well physical descriptions are of a teenager, around 16 years old, but there was something else," Yusei said as he floated by Yuga who was walking slowly behind Romin and Gakuto. Something else? Yuga sounded confused. "They appeared...sad...in a hurry and worried. Sorry, it was all I got from a simple look," Yusei apologized. You got that from a simple look?! Yuga quietly gasped.
"More or less," Yusei said and Yuga looked back. "Wow...," he wondered about the ghost and what they were doing there.
(Later)
They were all waiting in Ramen Hut when Kaizo came back. Yuga perked up when he saw the drone. "So how was it?" He asked.
"It was amazing, see!" Kaizo then projected pictures on the wall from his screen. "A super elite AI supervises everything so you can enjoy yourself while you eat, whether you're alone or with family." A picture of a happy family showed up as soon as he said that. He continued, "there's no weird or loud customers so it's very peaceful and there's healthy cooking as well for health-conscious customers and protein based cooking for those who worry about their muscles."
"But all of that has to be very expensive, right?" Gakuto asked and Kaizo replied with, "nope! Their opening campaign means that it's 66 yen!"
(About 42 cents give or take in USD)
"66 yen?!" Gakuto cried in shock. "Yep and the restaurant allows for pictures to be freely taken so it's very popular with the girls," Kaizo said and a picture of him posing with a bunch of girls showed up. The shopkeeper then began to sob uncontrollably.
"Yep! Yep! I had such a great time that I actually prefer AI Restaurant over Ramen Hut," Kaizo said, and then the shopkeeper began to bawl with worry and started to stir the pot with no water.
"Uh oh," Romin said worriedly. "Looks like he's in shock and is trying to escape reality by making imaginary ramen. Heck, it might even be real if he fills the pot up with his tears," Gakuto sighed. The shopkeeper then jabbed some two naruto slices onto his eyes and collapsed onto the ground while still crying.
"Oh no!" Romin and Gakuto gasped. Then Yuga slammed one hand on one of the tables. "Ok! We're going to have to take matters into our own hands! We need to give Ramen Hut a newsworthy feature that AI Restaurant doesn't have! And that'll be my new Road!" He declared and took out one of his tools.
After a while, he stepped back and wiped his forehead. "All done! I call this Road, the Restaurant-Go-Round! You can eat ramen ten times faster with this!" He said. "Are you sure about this?" Yusei asked. Very sure! Why? Yuga asked. "Because your friends are more likely to throw up ramen rather than eat it," Yusei pointed as Romin, Gakuto and Kaizo were spinning round and round the chairs that Yuga made spin.
"Yu-ga! Ma-ke it s-top!" Gakuto cried. "I'm g-ett-ing d-iz-zy!" Romin added. They had swirls in their eyes and Kaizo just groaned.
After a short bit, Yuga had a suggestion again. "Ok, the Restaurant-Go-Round wasn't a fan favorite but what about this? A contraption that links mannequins together to make it seem like people are going in and people like following crowds," he said and Gakuto was walking in with a bunch of mannequins linked to him.
"I don't think this will work," Gakuto deadpanned. "And it's not comfortable either!" Romin shouted as she was also linked to mannequins.
After another short bit, Yuga said, "ok but I know of another one!" "No more!" Both Romin and Gakuto shouted. "Please stop making Roads for now," Gakuto then begged. "But come on! I just thought of a really cool one!" Yuga protested. "I don't think making spotlights on the roof is a good idea," Yusei deadpanned.
Yuga was about to shout at him in his thoughts when the door to Ramen Hut slammed opened. A boy wearing red ninja robes appeared and had large chopsticks on his back. "Is this Ramen Hut, where the ramen is super tasty?" He asked.
"Huh? Why is he dressed like a ninja?" Gakuto asked and the boy gasped. "Are you, perchance, Yuga Ohdo?" He asked and pointed to Yuga. "How do you know and who's asking?" Yuga asked, confused.
"It's because of the newspaper right here," the boy held up the newspaper that was running through their school. "Huh? That's our school newspaper!" Romin gasped.
"Yes and I am so sorry for my late introduction! I'm from Goha Elementary #3, Class 5-2, seat #7, my birthday is July 11, and my sign is Cancer. My blood type is O and my hobbies include eating ramen and reading. I am Saburamen and I have traveled far and wide!" He declared.
"I can't believe he would reveal so much that boldly and hasn't he heard of delivery!" Gakuto stated, shaking a fist. "Probably not, hence the giant chopsticks. Also is Saburamen even his real name?" Romin sweatdropped.
"Are you really from Goha Elementary #3?" Yuga asked and Saburamen nodded. "I swear on noodles that I am!" He declared and Yuga's eyes began to widen with stars in them. "Awesome! That means that our newspaper reaches even there!" He cheered.
"That must mean that Rush Duels have also reached over there," Yusei told him. "Whoa, even the news of Rush Duels is over there too," Gakuto said.
"Looks like Rush Duels are popular there too," Romin said as she read the newspaper. Saburamen then got down on his hands and knees and begged, "please! Show me how you did it? How did you install the Rush Duel rules?"
"Why do you want to know?" Romin asked. "Because I also want to install new rules as well," Saburamen replied. "Huh? New rules?" The three of them asked and even Yusei perked up with curiosity.
"Indeed. I love ramen and dueling equally so I want to fuse the two of them together!" Saburamen declared. "Uh-huh...?" Romin sounded surprised but then Yuga said, "that sounds awesome! That'll be really fun to see so sure, I'll tell you!" "Yeah, I don't think it's a good idea to tell something important to someone you just met. Also you're on thin ice with the rules, mister!" Gakuto snapped.
"I think you should duel him first before you tell him how to install Rush Duels," Yusei suggested. Huh, not a bad idea! Anything to get us on the same page, Yuga thought and he was very excited. Yusei tilted his head at this. Is he happy that someone else has thought of new rules for dueling? He thought.
"Listen, Gakuto! I'm just happy that someone else has thought up new rules as well!" Yuga then told Gakuto which confirmed Yusei's thoughts. Yuga...he's excited to meet someone like him, Romin thought with a smile.
"Oh right, I forgot to do one thing. I shall order a bowl of ramen. Shopkeeper! One bowl of ramen!" Saburamen called out. The shopkeeper then lifted himself up from the floor, all zombie-like while saying, "one bowl of ramen...coming up."
"OH NO!" Yuga, Gakuto, Kaizo and Romin gasped. "The final...," Gakuto started, "ramen bowl." Romin finished and Saburamen looked at them confused.
"What's the matter?" He asked. "Once the shopkeeper makes this bowl of ramen, it'll be the end of the shop. So this will be the last ramen bowl from Ramen Hut ever!" Yuga explained. "What? Oh no, I'm responsible for destroying this establishment! I'm so sorry!" Saburamen cried and began to bang his head on the floor while frantically apologizing.
"Whoa whoa, no need for that. You'll bleed everywhere," Gakuto tried to reassure him. "Eh, this shop would have closed down either way," Kaizo shrugged.
"Look how about we make a deal. I'll tell you how to install new rules...in exchange for the last ramen bowl!" Yuga suggested and nearly everyone fell over at this. "I thought you were going to Rush Duel him," Yusei said and before Yuga could answer him, Romin spoke up, "you can't just swipe someone's ramen like that!"
"But this shop's ramen is delicious. I really got to savor the taste because it'll be gone forever. The last ramen bowl needs to go to someone who will really savor it," Yuga explained despite Yusei trying to get his attention and pointing to Saburamen who was getting angrier and angrier at Yuga's remarks.
"ENOUGH! I will NOT allow this last bowl of ramen to go to someone who can speak of a final bowl so carelessly! I challenge you to a Rush Duel!" He shouted and everyone made a surprise noise at this. "If I win, you will have to tell me how you install new rules for dueling and if you win, then I will allow you to have the last bowl of ramen!" Saburamen continued.
"Sounds fine to me! We'll be betting on the last bowl of ramen," Yuga declared. As he said this, the shopkeeper, who was in the kitchen, flipped on the gas burner while whispering, "the last ramen."
"You two better hurry with that duel before the ramen is done!" Gakuto shouted and the two boys put their duel disks on and placed their decks in it.
"Let's Go, Rush Duel!"

V.S
Saburamen - 4000 LPS
The holographic dome appeared as Saburamen said, "I'll take the first turn," and drew one card. Hmmm, he thought as he looked at the cards in his hand. "I must first think of my own rules before I begin anything. One, food before friends. Two, strange noodles are good. Three, time traveling noodles are great. Fourth, fancy noodles are the best and fifth, forevermore he shall love noodles!" He said.
"I summon Al Dente the Masked Fiery Noodle Ninja (ATK: 1000. DF: 1200) and Curlyred the Masked Fiery Noodle Ninja (ATK: 800. DF: 1000). Then I release them to Advance summon Gockboot the Masked Fiery Noodle Jonin (ATK: 2200. DF: 0)," Saburamen said and a large red monster with ramen bowls as armor appeared.
Looks like he's using ramen based monsters, Yuga thought. Meanwhile, the shopkeeper has started to make the ramen. "He's heading the bowl! Placing it on the counter!" Gakuto commented while using a spoon for a microphone.
"Has the final countdown for the ramen begun?" Yuga asked. "That bowl shall be mine!" Saburamen declared before adding, "I set two cards face down and end my turn."
"Then I'll start my turn," Yuga drew a card as he said this. "I summon both Dark Sorcerer (ATK: 1500. DF: 0) and Stray Familar (ATK: 0. DF: 1400) onto the field. And then I release them to Advance summon!" He shouted and held up a card.
"No matter if the walls, mountains, or even planets block my way! I shall carve a road through it all and press forward! Let's go, Sevens Road Magician (ATK: 2100. DF: 1500)!" He chanted and summoned up his Ace. However, Saburamen wasn't paying attention. "Whoa! He's using chidjire noodles!" He exclaimed happily much to Yuga's surprise.
"Hey, pay attention! You'll be burned if you only focus on ramen!" Yuga waved his arms around. He then sighed loudly before saying, "I activate Sevens Road Magician's effect by sending the top card of my deck to the graveyard for the Elemental boost that my Magician will gain for every attribute in my graveyard currently."
2100 —> 2700 ATK
"Yuga brought up Sevens Road Magician that early and boosted the attack. You really want to finish this huh?" Gakuto noted. "But I'm not going to let that happen because I activate a trap! Technique of Masked Fiery Noodle Cooking Pot," Saburamen said and a large cooking pot appeared over Sevens Road Magician and the magician had a look of surprise of their face.
"Whenever a level 7 or higher monster activates an effect, this trap lowers their attack points by 1000," Saburamen explained while Sevens Road Magician sat there, looking miserably.
2700 —> 1700 ATK
"Your monster is like the leftover broth after making soap in a cooking pot, hehe," he laughed before adding, "and I get a good helping of 500 life points as well."
4000 —> 4500 LPS
"Looks like you already have an understanding of Rush Duels," Yuga commented but then they heard a splash coming from the kitchen.
"He placed the noodles in! We don't have any time to spare just by looking at it!" Romin yelped and Gakuto added, "he'll finish the ramen if you two don't hurry!"
"Ah! I set these two cards down. Turn over," Yuga said.
1700 —> 2100 ATK
"Then it's my turn!" Saburamen drew five cards as the shopkeeper jabbed a spoon into some sauce.
"I send two cards from my hand to activate a Spell. The Noodle Art of Saucery! This allows me to draw the same number of cards that I sent to the graveyard to activate the spell which means I draw two new cards," Saburamen while the shopkeeper was chanting, "draw! Draw!" While in the kitchen.
"I summon Al Dente the Masked Fiery Noodle Ninja and Curlyred the Masked Fiery Noodle Ninja again onto the field. Next I send the top card of my deck to the graveyard to activate Gockboot the Masked Fiery Noodle Jonin's effect! Noodle Art: Soup Splash!" Saburamen said and there was a glow from Gockboot which transferred to the rest of his monsters.
The shopkeeper was stirring the pot while Yuga gasped as Saburamen began to explain his monster's effect. "All Pyro type monsters gain attack points equal to the number of normal monsters in my graveyard," he said.
2200 —> 2400 ATK
1000 —> 1200 ATK
800 —> 1000 ATK
"Next I'll activate my set card, Technique of Masked Fiery Noodle Roasting Burner," Saburamen said as the shopkeeper kept stirring faster and faster. So much that the naruto slices on his eyes were spinning and spinning.
"This spell boosts the attack points of my monsters by the number of Normal monsters in BOTH of our graveyards," Saburamen explained and Yuga slightly flinched at this. The shopkeeper was heating up three meat slices with a blowtorch.
2400 —> 2800 ATK
1200 —> 1600 ATK
1000 —> 1400 ATK
"The attack points will keep on growing and growing until they overpower yours," Yusei said in an observing voice. Not helping, Yuga deadpanned, his expression turning into an unamused look. "Sorry," Yusei said.
"But wait, there's more! I activate the Spell, the Noodle Art of Savory which reduces your monster's attack points by the number of Pyro monsters I control by 400," Saburamen explained.
"What?" Yuga gasped as the shopkeeper was now seasoning the noodles.
2100 —> 900 ATK
"Say what?!" Romin gasped and Gakuto cried, "in an instant, Sevens Road Magician lost nearly all of his attack points!" The magician slumped over at this.
"Looks like the heart-burned Sevens Road Magician will meet their end after being struck by my rich, flavorful ramen attack!" Saburamen laughed before setting the final card in his hand. "Now attack, my Fiery Noodle Ninjas! Noodle Demon Shuriken: Disorderly Dance!" He shouted and his monsters went on the attack.
"I won't let you have the win! I activate my trap, Magic Fire Guard. When you declare an attack, using this trap, an attack position spellcaster can't be destroyed in battle," Yuga explained and a shield of flames appeared in front of Sevens Road Magician. The shurikens from the attack of Saburamen's monsters bounced off the shield.
"But you still take damage," Saburamen said and some of the shurikens went through and bombarded Yuga, lowering his life points.
4000 —> 900 LPS
"Some many life points lost!" Romin gasped. "What will he do?" Gakuto wondered. "True, what will you do?" Yusei asked and Yuga didn't answer him immediately.
"Aha, I end my turn," Saburamen said, placing his hands on his hips.
2800 —> 2200 ATK
1600 —> 1200 ATK
1400 —> 800 ATK
900 —> 2100 ATK
"It is now my turn...to drain the water," the shopkeeper said and did just that. He also shook his sleeve to get some of the excess water off and that water fell on Gakuto's face. "Ow! Hot! Hot! Hot!" He jumped around in pain. "The ramen is almost done!" Kaizo cried. "Hurry!" Romin called out.
"Leave it to me," Yuga told her and began his turn by drawing new cards. This is what I'll do, he thought and Yusei looked at the cards. "First I'll start off by activating Sevens Road Magician's effect," Yuga said and sent the top card of his deck to his graveyard.
2100 —> 2700 ATK
"That won't get you very far for I activate another Cooking Pot," Saburamen interrupted and a second pot appeared around Sevens Road Magician. "Not again!" Yuga cried.
2700 —> 1700 ATK
4500 —> 5000 LPS
Geez, I should have seen that one coming, Yuga thought. "I suggest you try a gamble. It wouldn't hurt to try because if you don't do anything, you'll most definitely lose on his next turn," Yusei said. Thanks for the pep talk, Yuga thought sarcastically. "It wasn't meant to be an insult," Yusei gave him what Yuga assumes is an unamused look.
"Well here goes nothing. I sent this card from my hand to the graveyard to activate this, Road Magic- Explosion," Yuga said and sent Ansler the Magical Swordsman to the graveyard. After he did that, Sevens Road Magician extended their sword and the sword burst into flames. They brought the sword down and blasted it at Saburamen.
"By borrowing the element of fire, I'm able to inflict 400 points of damage to you for every Fire monster you control," Yuga explained and Saburamen gasped.
"No noodling way!" He cried as he went flying.
5000 —> 3800 LPS
"Now by borrowing the element of wind, I can change a monster on your field to face-up defense position by sending Torna the Windweaver from my hand to the graveyard to activate Road Magic- Tempest," Yuga explained. Once again, Sevens Road Magician's sword extended and was surrounded by wind. He brought it down towards Gockboot which fell to one knee and crossed its arms across its chest.
"You're trying to defeat my strongest monster! But even if Gockboot is destroyed, I'll still have 3800 life points," Saburamen said but Yuga gave him a sly grin. "I won't just be doing that," he said.
"He's pouring the soup over the noodles!" Gakuto cried. "Now time to arrange the food," Romin added. Yuga looked over in shock as Gakuto said, "he's summoned the hard boiled egg!" Then Romin added, "and he's activating the roasted pork! Hurry, Yuga!" Yuga, who was drooling over the food, snapped out of it and yelped, "I'm getting there! I'm getting there! Geez."
"It does look good, better than cheap cup noodles," Yusei noted as he was floating near the kitchen. "How did you get over there?" Yuga asked. "Umm, we've always been here?" Romin sounded confused and Yuga flinched at this. "Sorry, sorry. Didn't mean to say that out loud. Anyway, I activate the Spell, High Magic- Double Accel. By returning two level 5 spellcasters from my graveyard to my deck, a spellcaster on my field gains attack points equal to its original attack points until the end of this turn. So I'm returning Ansler and Torna back to my deck," Yuga explained.
1700 —> 3800 ATK
"Even if you had added toppings, it's too late!" Saburamen declared. "I'm not done yet because I activate the Spell, Pierce!" Yuga shouted and Saburamen gasped.
"You'll take the piercing damage from this attack and since your monster doesn't have any defense points, you'll be taking all of Sevens Road Magician's attack!" Yuga declared. "Oh no, that's true!" Saburamen gasped.
"Now attack! Sevens Magic Attack!" Yuga commanded and his Ace summoned up seven stars around it before bringing down the sword, destroying Saburamen's monster. "No noodling way!" He cried as he got knocked back by the attack.
3800 —> 0 LPS
WINNER: Yuga
"I lost," Saburamen said in a sad voice and the shopkeeper placed the bowl of ramen on the counter. "It is ready, thank you for waiting," he said as the naruto slices fell off his eyes and landed perfectly on the ramen, completing it. "Awesome! Can I have small servings for everyone?" Yuga asked and Romin looked at him confused.
"Here," Yuga handed Saburamen a pair of chopsticks and said, "that was a fun Rush Duel. You really gave me quite a bit to think about a strategy. Let's eat the ramen together." "You'll...you'll really do that?" Saburamen asked with tears in his eyes. "Yep! Food always tastes better when you're with other people," Yuga told him.
"Thank you! Thank you! You are very kind, Yuga!" Saburamen cried with tears of happiness this time rolling down his face. He reached out to take the chopsticks when something unexpected happened.
"Wow, that was a really good duel." Luke arrived...AND HE WAS EATING THE RAMEN! "I was looking for you guys because I found something really cool but I wasn't expecting to see you Rush Dueling," Luke said as he slurped up the ramen. He added, "man this ramen is really good here." He continued to eat as Saburamen and Yuga were looking at him in shock.
"Why are you eating it?" Yuga raced up to his friend and placed a hand on his shoulder firmly to stop him from eating the rest but Luke lifted the bowl up and drank the soup, meaning that he finished it. "Thanks for the meal!" He stated and set the bowl down.
"YOU!" Saburamen shouted, angrily. "You are the worst!" Romin snapped at him. "How could you eat the last bowl of ramen from this shop?!" Gakuto shouted. "No no, that will not be the last bowl of ramen from this shop," the shopkeeper said.
"Huh?" The kids asked. The shopkeeper then turned to Yuga and asked, "what kind of duel was that?" "A Rush Duel," Yuga replied.
"I think I understood something after watching that duel. Neither of you gave up so I decided that I won't give up on the shop. I want to make my ramen faster and tastier and even better than before," the shopkeeper explained. "So you're not shutting Ramen Hut down?" Yuga asked, eagerly. "Correct because I will make my 'Rush Ramen' and will continue to do so for now on," the shopkeeper replied.
"Yay! Let's go!" Gakuto jumped in the air, happily while Romin and Yuga gave each other a high five. "I'm proud of you. You fought for something that you cared deeply about and even though it was just ramen, no matter how tasty it was, you still had that grit to fight on. Never lose that," Yusei told him and floated beside him. Thank you, no one deserves to lose something that they care deeply for, Yuga thought. Something told Yusei that maybe he was also alluding to something else as well. Maybe Yuga's feelings towards Rush Duels and how Goha keeps on deleting anything regarding it.
Their conversation was interrupted by Saburamen who wrapped his arms around Yuga and Luke. "We did it!" He cheered and Yuga gave him a small smile while Luke was just confused.
"Can you make another bowl of ramen for us please?" Everyone asked and the shopkeeper chuckled at this before turning away to grab bowls. "Although I think you had enough," Yuga poked Luke on the shoulder.
"Oh that reminds me! Guys I found something cool! Check it," Luke dug into his pocket and pulled something out. It was a card of a dragon. It was white and robotic with blue lines marking on the wings and blue rings on its arms, legs, the top of its head and the end of the tail.
"Huh? Firewall Dragon? I never heard of that monster," Yuga said. "Oh! That's a rare monster type, the Cyberse type," Saburamen explained. "Cyberse?" Romin asked.
"It is only a rumor but I heard that the Cyberse type came to be thanks to this network called the Cyberse. Very few duelists have access to Cyberse monsters though and they're all in Den City," Saburamen explained.
"Den City? That's a train ride from here and isn't that where Link Vrains originated?" Gakuto asked. "Yeah but it's only a rumor, sadly. There's no way to confirm it and the duelists who do have Cyberse monsters were on Link Vrains so no one knows their true identity, just their Avatar," Saburamen replied.
"I see but what's a Cyberse monster doing out here and where did you find it?" Romin asked. "In a trash can which I was upset about because who throws their duel cards in the trash and one like this! I decided to save it since no monster deserves a fate like that," Luke explained. "You can be questionable sometimes," Gakuto glanced at the kitchen where the shopkeeper was still making the ramen, "but you do have your kind moments."
"Thank you...I think. Anyway, I wanted to show you guys this card," Luke said. "Can I hold it? It does seem like a cool monster," Yuga asked. "Sure thing but only because I'm generous," Luke said and handed Yuga the card.
Seems familiar? Yuga asked as he held the card up so Yusei could see. "No, I never heard of a Cyberse monster before. My memories are still fuzzy but even if they weren't, I don't sense a form of familiarity from it," Yusei explained.
Well if you don't know anything about it, then it's not a part of your memory. But why was this in the trash? Yuga thought but then he heard a voice. It was an unfamiliar voice and no one else but he and Yusei heard the voice.
"Hey, that's my card. Give it back."
A/N: cliffhanger y'all! Who do you think is the one who spoke at the end? I might have spoiled it though but hey, it's still fun to guess!
Yeah the timeline is going to be wonky here, don't worry about it rn
