29. Beginning Of The End
April 29th
I am running away. I have officially decided to leave forever. It's not like I will get far anyways. They will just hunt me down and kill me anyways.
But I need to leave. I can never come back.
Dylan told me he wishes we never met. That broke my heart.
I thought the fight was nothing but it turns out, Dylan's pent up rage against me was pushed over the edge when we fought yesterday. I pushed him past his tipping point.
I told him he was the stupidest person I had ever met. He replied to that saying he wishes we had never met.
I didn't expect him to say that. It hurt. It really did.
I suppose I shouldn't have called him stupid. It's not his fault he is bad at being social. So he has some problems with that. So what? It doesn't meant he's stupid. I was wrong to snap at him like that.
He was completely justified to snap at me. I just didn't think it would be that bad.
Dylan is crying. He knows he is reading the last diary entry just by reading the date. Emily's official date of death was the twenty-ninth.
I am all packed up and ready to go. Either I escape from here forever, or I die trying.
But when I tried to leave the house, I stopped on Dylan's porch. I had to see him.
The problem? I hate myself for what I did more than I know he hates me. I can't face him after what I did to him. How can I ask him for help running away if he hates me? I can't.
Dylan shakes his head. Emily was going to come see him on the night she died. He wishes she would have knocked. He could have helped her. He could have saved her life.
No matter how mad he was at her that night, he would have never let her go if he knew she was in danger and needed help.
Had she knocked, Dylan would have seen the bags and he would have known she was in trouble. He would have put all of his anger aside and he would have welcomed her into his home. He would have gotten to the bottom of this and helped her solve her problem.
Had she just told him Amy was planning to kill her, things would have turned out a lot differently for all of them.
This is the final entry. After I finish writing this, I will be locking the book up in its safe spot. I will then leave and try to escape town before they kill me. If I am not successful, someone will be finding this book.
I hope to God that Dylan is the one who finds it. I know he will be the one to put it to good use. He will know what to do with it.
So, in the hopes that I am right and Dylan did find this book, the rest of this is directed at him and only him.
Dylan, go to this address and all your remaining questions will be answered. I promise.
210 Samantha Road
Dylan stares at the address before deciding he needs to go there. He still has a million questions he needs answered. This may be his only shot at getting what he is looking for.
AN: one more chapter left. What do you think Emily put at that address for Dylan?
