Purvi was sitting on the hospital bed like a statue. Tears drops dripped down from her eyes one by one.

"Itna sabh hogaya aur tum log mujhe abh bata rahe ho ", Purvi said while wiping her tears.

Kavin who was seated on the sofa was also in shock that his friends partially lied to him.

"Purvi.. Kavin ", Snehal called out in a polite voice. "We are really sorry. Humhe laga ki we are saving Purvi from extra trouble-

Ashish explained,"Purvi yeh sabh-

"Ashish, Sanu tum dono mere decisions mere liye nahi le sakte hai ", cried Purvi.

"We are really sorry ! Humhe laga hum problem solve kar rahe the.. lekin hum problem bhada bhete hai, agar Mohit nahi hota toh mujhe yeh kabhi smajh nahi ata "

Purvi looked at Mohit. He couldn't meet her gaze.

"Mohit ko bhi engagement wale din pata chal gaya tha lekin hum usse manipulate karne lage. Woh bichara bhi confuse hogaya ", replied Snehal while crying. "Tujhe ussi mall mein lana jaha Kavin hai.. yeh sabh Mohit ka idea tha. Mujhe tabhi smajh jana chayie tha jab Mohit ne humse humari location puchi thi on the call "

"Mohit thanks for all of this ", replied Purvi in a calm tone while looking at Kavin. "Tum sabh please room se bhar jaao mujhe Kavin se akele baat karni hai "

Kavin looked at Purvi's face. It was pale and emotionless.

All of others nodded and exited the room one by one. Mohit took a last glance at Purvi and leaves.

Kavin leaned back on his sofa a sighed. The room was filled in a complete silence.

"Congratulations ! On your engagement ", said Kavin in a calm voice.

The mention brought a small smile on her face. "Thanks "

The silence filled the room again.

"Tum toh bilkul nahi badle ho Kavin waise ke waise hi ho "

"Tum bhi waisi hi ho Purvi.. baas halaath badal gaye hai "

Purvi snickered in response.

"Haalath ke saath approach bhi badal jata hai ", replied Purvi. "Kha hum jagadhe the aur kha aaj yeh sanata "

The silence again bestowed the room with its presence.

"Suna hai kal tumhari shaadi hai !? ", said Kavin."Kya tum Mohit ke saath khush ho ? Kya tum uske saath apni puri life bitana chati ho ?"

"Kavin, I'm sorry. ", said Purvi.
"Meine joh tumse promises kiye the woh mein pure nahi karpayi. I was waiting for you lekin mere dil kab kisi aur ke liye dhadakne laga mujhe pata nahi chala " Purvi took a long pause.
"To answer your question, I love Mohit. Mein uske saath apni puri life bitani chahti "

"I still love you Purvi ", said Kavin as tears escaped his eyes.

"I do love you Kavin. Tum mere phele pyaar ho. I can't ever forget you. Lekin-

"I understand ", said Kavin and hugged Purvi.

She hugged him back.

The shuttle noise ran through the room. Both of them looked at the door to still find it closed.

"Kal shaadi ke liye invitation hai kya ?", asked Kavin with a chuckle.

"Tumhe invitation ki kya zarurat hai !"

"Right !? Coma paas haina "

Purvi slapped his arm.
"Pagal ho tum puree "

"Humesha se "

The silence filled the room again.

"Kya Mohit ko uss bare mein pata hai ?", asked Kavin in a serious tone.

"Ha. Mohit knows ki mein kabhi Maa nahi ban sakti. Sirf tum hi senti hojaate the. He is fine with it "

"Acha banda hai. Jaisa bhi doctor hu uski dawai aur teri dua ne mujhe thik kiya hai ", smiled Kavin.

Hospital corridors.

"Purvi aur Kavin are made for each other ", said Mohit with a slight annoyance.

Snehal said,"Mohit.. tu toh Purvi ko mat judge kar-

He interrupted,"I'm not judging. I'm stating the facts. Meine sunna hai. sabh sunna hai "

Mohit ran his hands through his hair.

Ashish kept his hands on Mohit's shoulder. "Kya sunna tune ?"

Mohit walked off from the corridors.

Ashish wanted to follow him but he couldn't catch up.

The Wedding day.

The guest had arrived, the preparations were almost done. Everyone was excited and pumped up for this event.

"I can't believe aaj humare bete ki shaadi hai ", said Mohit's mother in a excited tone.

"Yakeen toh mujhe nahi ho raha hai behen ji ", said Purvi's father in a equally pumped up tone.

"Lekin humare dulhe raaja hai kaha !? Kal se dikh nahi raha hai"

"Woh Purvi aur uske flat se tayar hoke araha hai "

"Behen ji. Aapka bhaut shukriya ki aap Purvi ki Maa ke tarah se rivaj karne ke liye apke baate ki barat chodke aai hai "

"Arey kaisi baat kar rahe hai aap bhai saab ! Purvi humari beti hai aabh "

Purvi's father had tears in his eyes.

A panicked Ashish appeared before him. "Mohit nahi hai. "

"Kya bol rahe ho beta !?", asked Mohit's mother in utter shock.

"Aunty-Uncle yeh uska letter ", said Ashish.

Purvi's father dragged him upstairs in order to avoid commotion.

"Papa,Ashish.. Maa aap log yaha ! Barat agayi kya ?", Purvi asked them.

Ashish and Purvi's father exchanged worried glances.

Purvi looked at the piece of paper in Ashish's hand. "Yeh kya hai ?"

"Tu hi padh le "

Purvi looked at him confused.

Dear Purvi,

Mein jaanta hu joh meine aaj kiya woh maafi layak nahi hai lekin mein yeh sabh tumhare liye kar raha hoon.

Purvi looked up at Ashish. "Yeh kis baare mein hai ? Aur Mohit ne aisa kya kiya hai ?"

"Tu phele pura padh le sabh smajh jayegi ", replied Snehal who had just joined them. She bit her lip in nervousness.

"Beta padh le na pura.. mera bhi jee khabrahra hai ", added Mohit's mother.

Purvi yeh saal joh humne saath bitaye humare.. nahi mere zindagi ke sabse haseen paal the. I know I'm a sappy ever romantic person isliye mein tere dil ki baat smajh gaya hu. Mein janta hu ki tu Kavin se pyaar karti hai. Meine kal tujhe usse confess karte hue bhi suna hai. Abh iss shaadi ki koi wajah nahi banti hai.

"YEH KYA BAKWAS HAI !", exclaimed Purvi in a loud voice.
"Meine kab confess kiya "

"Usne kal teri aur Kavin ki adhi- adhuri baat sun li hogi ", replied Ashish.

"Mohit kaha hai !?", asked Mohit's mother.

"Aage letter mein likha hai ", said Snehal in a small voice.

Purvi, I love you. Aur I want the best for you. Mein jaa raha hu Purvi. Tum dono, tumhari meri family sabse durr. Aaj please tu Kavin se shaadi karlena.

I wish both of you a happy married life. Mujhe dhundne ke koshish mat karna, nahi milunga mein.

Mohit's mother slapped.
"Besharam ladki teri wajah se mera beta.. mera beta-

Purvi was still in shock to react to her slap.

Snehal held Mohit's mother back and tried to calm her down.
"Aunty iss mein Purvi ki galati nahi hai "

Kavin appeared on the scene.
"Kya hua ? Barat abhi tak aayi nahi "

"Dekho janab jaale par namak chidakne aaye hai ", said Mohit's mother in a angry tone.

"Kya hua hai ?", asked Kavin while looking at everyone.

Purvi was furiously dialling someone's numbers. Snehal was calming Mohit's mother who looked like could kill Purvi any moment from now.

Ashish cornered Kavin and told him about the situation.

"Oh shit !", exclaimed Kavin
"Yeh Mohit itna bada bewakoof niklega socha nahi tha. I mean seriously.. Purvi usse kitna pyaar karti hai aur woh !"

"ABH MERI BETI SE KOUN SHAADI KARGA BEHEN JI !Aapka beta toh meri beti ke upar dosh deke bhaag gaya. Shaadi se phele toh baade baade vaade kar raha tha ", shouted Purvi's father after losing his cool.

"Apki beti ka yeh ex-boyfriend haina.. coma se jaake hum sabke jeevan mein bhukamp lane wala Kavin Malhotra ", replied Mohit's mother in a horrified tone.

"Aunty dekhiye mein smajhta hu ki aap naraz hai kyuki aapka beta bhaga hai-

She interrupted Kavin,"Bhaga nahi hai woh ! Bhagaya gaya hai. Yeh tum dono ki mili-jhulli chaal hai ! "

"Behen ji ko bahar ka darwaja dikha doh Ashish ! ", ordered Purvi's father.

"Mujhe yaha ek second nahi rukna ji ", said Mohit's mother and scurried off.

"Uncle yeh aapne kya kiya !", asked Snehal in annoyance.

"WAHI JOH INKI MARZI MEIN AYA ", replied Purvi in a furious tone while looking at her father. "Yeh ho kya raha hai !? KOI MUJHSE PUCHEGA KI MEIN KYA CHAHTI HU ? Mein kis se shaadi karna chahti hu ? Meri feeling !? Do they even matter !"

"Ashish-Snehal tumhe jaisa laga tumne kiya ! Kavin tumhe joh inhone kaha woh tumne maan liya. Mohit.. usse joh laga usne kiya. Mere kya ? KOI MUJHSE PUCHEGA MEIN KYA CHAHTHI HU ki sab apne decisions mujhpar thopne wala hai "

"Jab Kavin ki yaado mein jee rahi thi tab sabh chahte the ki mein move on karu Mohit ke saath. Aur jab aaj Mohit ne saath chod diya toh kya karu ? Kavin ke saath move on karu ? Kar lu uss se shaadi jaise Mohit ne kaha ?"

"Haa beta, yahi sahi rehega. ", said Purvi's father and joined his hands before Kavin.

"Kavin beta-

"Papa !", shrieked Purvi.

"Beta tu smajh kyu nahi rahi hai. Aaj ke baad koi shareef ghar ka ladka tujhse shaadi nahi karega. Teri do baar shaadi tut chuki hai"

"Uncle.. please aap Purvi ko force na kaare ", said Kavin.

Purvi was disgusted. She looked at Kavin."Nahi nahi Kavin kar hi lete hai shaadi.. jab tumse pyaar karti thi tabh Mohit ke saath thi. Aur jabh Mohit se pyaar karti hu abh tumhare saath bandh rahe hai. Mein na ball hu na joh mujhe yaha se waha pheka jaa raha hai  "

Purvi's father looked at her astounded.

"Mujhe aaj tod diya gaya hai. Ek part for Kavin aur ek for Mohit. Iss beech Purvi maar gayi hai "
Purvi cried out.

"Purvi aise maat bol ", said Kavin. Tears appeared in her eyes. "Mein dhund launga Mohit ko aur teri-

"Uski koi zarurat nahi hai. ", said Purvi firmly.

Everyone fell silent. Purvi was lost in her own bubble. Her face pale and emotionless. A thousand things running in her head.

Purvi's father joined his hands before her. "Beta please kar le Kavin se shaadi ! Apne iss budhe baap ki alkhri icha purri karle "

Purvi was startled.

"Papa sahi kar rahe hai. Kavin mujhse aaj shaadi kar le ", added Purvi.

"Purvi-..

"Kavin please ", pleaded Purvi.
"Mere papa ki shanti ke liye. Mere liye aur tere.. pyaar ke liye"

"Lekin tu mujhse pyaar-

"I love you Kavin. Kar le mujhse shaadi ", said Purvi as she kneeled before him.

Ashish and Snehal gasped.
"Tu emotions mein mat bhe-

"Snehal.. mein apne faisle khud le sakti hu ", replied Purvi while glaring her friends.

Kavin kneeled before her.
"Purvi I know tu bhaut hurt hai lekin shaad ek bhaut bada decision hai."

"Dekh Kavin hum usse accident se phele bhi shaadi karne wale the na. I'm sure about this. About us "

"Okay. Yeh ek bhaut bada decision hai lekin ek baat mein yeh shaadi tujhse taras khake ya sympathy dekhane ke liye nahi kar raha hu. I love you "

"Aur yeh shaadi mein emotions mein bheke, rebound, ya kisi ke dhoke ke wajah se nahi kar rahi hu. I know mere papa mujhe leke bhaut worried rehte hai agar mera yeh decision unhe relief deta hai toh, I'm ready. I can't promise Kavin ki mein tumhe phele jaise pyaar kar sakungi lekin I will give my best."

Kavin looked at her again.
"Are you paaka sure ?"

"My heart was broken not once but twice, dil ke bikhra nahi baas do tukde kar diye gaye. One part still belongs to you and and one is still with Mohit. My love is in pieces. ". Purvi took a long pause.
"Pieces of my love.. I don't make sense at all "

"I promise to try and mend your pieces ", said Kavin and kissed Purvi's palm.

Kavin then clasped Purvi's hand and helped her stand.

They walked the aisle together hand in hand.

Sabhi ko zindagi mein happy ending nahi milta. Agar happy ending ki feeling arahi hai toh smajh lo kahani abhi tak khatam nahi hui hai.
