Apparently the world is not a wish granting factory
If it were, all my statements would have the word "wish"
And I would definitely be rich
Despite the fact that my success won't spring from a wish,
I believe my future is bright
Because I've got so many photons in my eyes
Scientifically I can't tell if they are particles or waves
But metaphorically, I know they are visions and experiences.
I've got to leave a legacy but it won't be done on a silver platter
Swimming in glory so much splatter.
I'm sure if I put away all the wickedness, envy and greed
The world will sing hallelujah as my creed.
But can I put up with the struggle, hustle and strife?
Or will I rumble, tussle and cry?
Nevertheless, I know I'm destined for greatness
Whether my wish is granted or grated.
I've decided not to ask the world for a favour,
For the genie within me is a greater saviour.
