"Seb I'm home!" Karsyn called as she finally stepped back into the house she was sharing with her boyfriend. Instantly Lilo was bouncing around her feet, barking in obvious excitement. "Hey there, Lilo. How you doing girl?" Karsyn laughed, scratching her furry daughter behind the ears.

Just as she stepped through the entry way she felt a pair of hands close in over her eyes, effectively blocking out her sight. "Hey there, girlfriend." Sebastian whispered from behind her, his warm breath fanning the back of her neck, sending shivers down her spine.

Karsyn laughed, reaching up to place her hands over Sebastian's. "What are you doing, dork?" She asked.

"I have a surprise for you." He whispered in her ear, beginning to lead her down the hallways of their home. "But you have to promise not to peak, okay?"

She laughed again, deciding to play along with Sebastian's game. The soft clipping of nails against hardwood told her that Lilo was following them too, her tail swishing excitedly through the air. Sebastian brought them both to a stop, his chest pressed against Karsyn's back as he leaned in to look over her shoulder.

"Now close your eyes and don't open them until I say. Okay?"

"Whatever you say, dorky." Karsyn smiled as Seb removed his hands from her face, her eyes still pressed firmly together.

"Now open them."

The first thing she noticed was the pictures.

Pictures all around them. Pictures of kisses and parties and friends and smiles. Pictures of them, dating back to the the day they met. She noticed then that the pictures were arranged into letters:

W-I-L-L
Y-O-U
M-A-R-R-Y
M-E ?

Karsyn's hands flew up to her mouth, covering the huge smile already blossoming there. She turned around, meeting the eyes of the man she loved most in the world. He was down in one knee, a small velvet box in his hands.

"Karsyn Bennet." He smiled, his words shaky and nervous. "You are my best friend, my blood brother, my girlfriend. And for as long as I've known you I've been in love, even if it took me a while to act on it. And I know I suck as this... confession stuff. But basically, I'm trying to ask: do you want to marry me?"

It took Karsyn a second to respond, because of the excited tears staining her cheeks. Instead she took her hands away from her face and threw them around Sebastian, the sudden contact sending them both slamming into the ground.

But neither of them had time to register the impact before Karsyn was kissing him, smiling hard against his lips.

They only pulled away when Lilo decided to cover them both in a thick sheen of slobber, her tail wagging excitedly behind her. Karsyn laughed, rolling off of Sebastian and wiping her hand across her face.

Sebastian grinned, his chest rising and falling heavily, relishing the moment as long as he could. "So is that a yes then?"

Karsyn laughed again, a sound that made him fall for her even harder every time. "Yes!"
