Chapter Nine
I dragged myself out of bed, feeling exhausted. My body lagged behind Mey-Rin as we walked down the halls.
"Do you want to go out to the garden right away to get new bouquets?" Mey-Rin suggested.
I shrugged not really wanting to do anything, so I took her suggestion and went out back. Through my clouded state, I almost forget my conversation with Finny the night before. I never got a response out of him, but I'm hoping that he'll at least see things a little better from my standpoint.

"Oh, are you here for fresh flowers?" he asked me. "It's a bit early; I'll go fetch some."

"Hello?" I called.
The man stirred some more before letting out a growl.
"(Y/N) don't do that!" Finnian yelled from the other end of the garden.
I looked back in front of me to see that some sort of Demon hound had formed before me.
UH OH!
I quickly ran as the hound let out a fiery breath, barely missing me. I continued to run down the rows as the hound chased after me.
"PLUTO!" Finnian called, holding a tree.
How the-
Finnian quickly threw the tree and the large dog chased after, while I stood there out of breath.
How did that even happen? What is he?
