Comfort (9th)
Channel moved her neck from side to side with a slight wince as it noisily cracked.
She placed her phone down on the countertop, hopped down from her seat and stretched, though as her arms descended down, the chime and slam of the stores front door disrupted her attempt to unwind.
This displeased her.
Channel turned to reluctantly greet the visitor - Phyllis.
"She's busy" Channel affirmed as she moved behind the till and retrieved a bubble coat lying on the floor "and we're closed"
"Well, I intend to see her" Phyllis ordered with crossed arms.
"Too bad" Channel said whilst she pulled her coat on.
"Well where is she?" Phyllis asked.
Channel moved towards the door behind her, pushed it open and shouted down the hallway "CAL! I'm off!"
Channel received no reply; she frowned slightly before looking back towards Phyllis, then back down the hall.
"Cal" she shouted again, only receiving her echo as a response before she continued "That girls here too, from the other day"
"Are you sure she's in?" Phyllis asked.
"Yeah, she took these two scene kids in the back ages ago" Channel answered as she stood in the doorway, still propping the door open.
Phyllis looked towards Channel, as if processing the information she had just received, soon, her shoulders loosened and she exhaled, her face relaxing into a placid expression as she slightly nodded, without saying a word, she moved forwards and passed Channel with haste, managing to bump into her in the girl as she barged forward through the doorway.
Channel tensed as Phyllis charged down the hall, she looked as if she wanted to react, but hadn't had the chance, however she soon give up on any fight.
"Well let her know I left" Channel yelled with a snarl before allowed the door to shut.
Coat on and hood up, Channel left the the store via the front door.
Phyllis charged through a heavy looking door that had been propped open with a large barrel.
The cluttered plant storage room was illuminated by bright blue light from a series of lamps, two particularly large standing lamps at either side of the door hummed.
She shook her head at the devices.
Phyllis faced forward, her face and stance exuded confidence as her gaze adjusted to the rooms lighting. She strode forward, walking through the bed of plants and flowers, however, she halted; picking up on a rustling noise, towards a corner of the flowerbed.
She moved forward towards the source of the sound with caution, and curiosity.
Setting her sight upon something she couldn't quite make out, she bent down and leaned in closer.
A single, bright pink clog stood lonely beside Phyllis' own shoe, though partially concealed a few feet away lay a bundle of multicolored fabric.
Topiary at the end of the flowerbed, which upon closer expedition turned out to be potted, concealed what Phyllis had been seeking.
Within a flash, silent horror fast descended upon her as she lost all composure; her face contorting, eyes widened and her jaw quivered in silent terror as she turned and fled.
Out the room, down the hall and out the store.
