(16th) Phishing Net

Phill and Phyllis strolled down the high street.
Their distance and silence would not indicate that the two accompanying one another Phyllis caught up with Phil to asked him a question...

"You never talk about your wife?" she asked.

Phil took some time to register either the sudden question or its content, before he casually answered...
"No. I don't really, do I"

"Well most people talk about their families" Phyllis claimed.

"Well, I could argue that you have never asked me about her, and in addition, I have never asked about your family life" Phil retorted.

"I always share my personal life with you!" she snapped with a hint of scowl "In fact I'm open enough to share with anyone"

"Phyllis let's just say, we discuss history, we discuss world culture and a dash of political affairs; I'm satisfied with these exchanges" he offered.

Phyllis said nothing in response, as she slowed down, yet soon replied with..
"Well I've got nothing to hide" under her breath as she trotted forward to catch up.
"By the way, what does she think about, your relationship with Calci?"

"She's none the wiser" Phil responded.

"She doesn't know you donate blood to a demonic woman throughout the week?" a startled Phyllis asked as she briefly stopped; widening the gap between them further.

"No, she doesn't" Phil replied as he stopped, allowing Phyllis to catch up.

"Well, where does she think you are?" Phyllis asked.

"Just, helping out my friend, Ms Calci the florists, a fellow business owner during the hard economic times, just as I to aid our friend Francis in the glass store and my old friend Howwy out in the charity shop; I'm actually holding that fort whilst he's away" he chuckled as he looked to the wide eyed young woman
"You see, our relationships are essentially a friendly and professional family and Nancy..."

"They're all vampires!?" Phyllis almost yelled, cutting off his musing.

Phil stopped dead in his tracks for a moment.
He looked confused as he thought for a moment before he shuck his head and wordlessly started moving.

Typing furiously on a small laptop, Phyllis lay on a large neon orange beanbag that offered enough room for Phyllis to spread out and lay her device on top.
The beanbag contrasted the small room, that was otherwise dated in appearance, reminiscent of a period movie; quality wooden furniture and finely upholstered seating moved to the corners beside ivory colored, slight floral walls.
With a heavy sigh, Phyllis stopped typing, closed than lifted her laptop and carefully manoeuvred onto her back.
Phyllis rose, moved towards a tree trunk coffee table and placed her laptop down, before treading on a bear skinned rug that sported a protruding fierce head, greeting those who entered the room. Phyllis however left.

Channel smiled mischievously to her device, then yelled at high volume...
"Yo Cal'!"
This startled the few people browsing through the store.

Calci soon came through the door behind her. Clad in sunglasses, an oversized sun hat that shielded her shoulders and V-neck, spaghetti string dress that showcased her cleavage.
"What is it sweetie?" she asked in a kind and placid manner.

Fixed on her screen, Channel answered...
"That cow Phyllis just started catfishing me"

"I could tell it was fake, but I thought it would be funny to play along for a bit, so we started messaging earlier" Channel relayed as she searched "but then this dropped on our page" she added as she directed the screen to Calci's line of vision.

Calci looked, but shrugged
"What is it?" she asked.

"It's a questionnaire claiming to be mandatory for business to fill in, but she clearly invented it using a free survey site" Channel answered.

"Has she now?" Calci chimed as she got closer to Channel and took the device.

"What do you wanna do, just ignore her?" Channel asked.

Calci quickly took on a smug, before replying...
"No, let's play with her"
