09.22 - Cyde
Days continued with the twins constantly switching place with one another. Before when the two men would switch once a month, now they would switch once a week. Why? Well, as the days carried on, one of the twin's desires to be with the nine-tails fox became irrepressible. It doesn't help that Myka herself was like a siren - luring and seducing Cyde to her side. And every time that the two are alone - needless-to-say, the two falls into their usual round of passion. For the hot-blooded man like Cyde, he would succumb to the woman willingly since his entire heart and soul yearned for her. And as for Myka who had waited many years for the young boy to become a man – enduring his coldness and scowling. Now that she have him, she naturally would not let him go and indulge herself.
Unfortunately, nothing can ever remain a secret for too long. And more regrettably, the all-powerful water dragon was not the sort to be fool. It took only one mistake from the twin for the water dragon to recognized he had been tricked.
No one can be blame for the situation. Alexis life was on the line after all. It was ill-fated how the female lead came across the red snake. At the time, the red snake had come to the water dragon wanting to discuss a mating arrangement. Let's not forget, in terms of mating for Qui masters, their partner must have equal power or such acts of intercourse will lead the weaker body to drain the energy of the stronger one. The all-powerful water dragon was highly desired amongst the Qui masters – male and female. He is after all beautiful as he is strong; therefore, the only the strongest Qui masters could match up to him. The red snake wasn't the first Qui master to propose a mating bond; she also wasn't the first to be turned away. In fact, over several hundred years, the red snake had boldly proposed such an ordeal to the water dragon on multiple occasion. Every time, the water dragon denied her coldly. The water dragon always reject all those who want a mating bond with him. He believes no one could match up to him in terms of power; therefore, he has no interest in such things like mating.
Naturally, being turned away, the red snake would be angry. By chance, Alexis came across the irritated red snake and so, received the snake's anger and resentment. Nilo who had been by Alexis side could not watch her get hurt and so did his best to defend. When the red snake blasted Nilo and Alexis with a large ball of fire, Nilo had used everything he got – combining both water and wind to defend himself and Alexis. But how could two disciples go against a Qui master – especially ones with high ranking. While Nilo was able to deflect the first attack from the red snake, the move had made the red snake angrier – thus the second onslaught was twice as powerful. Seeing the situation, Nilo could only push Alexis away, hoping to save her from the dangerous force.
"Nilo!" Alexis cried out while trying to get herself up and back to Nilo's side.
But before Nilo was hit, a torrent of water shield him from the deadly attacked. The red snake bit her bottom lip with resentment as she turned to face the water dragon.
"You dare to kill in my territory?" Lei expression was as cold as his words.
The red snake calmed herself and glanced over at Alexis who rushed to Nilo side. Recalling the moment where Nilo used both water and wind power, her calm eyes turned crimson. How can the water dragon's disciple know wind power of the nine-tails fox? How close was the water dragon and the nine-tails fox for them to exchange disciple? The trust they must have to share their powers? It was unprecedent! All those questions only fuel the red snake resentment and anger.
"The reason you rejected me is because of that shameless fox?" Instead of answering Lei's question, the red snake questioned him like a jilted lover. "How long have you and that fox been together? How long!"
Lei frowned at such a ridiculous question. His unsympathetic eyes moved from the red snake to Nilo and Alexis – growing colder. Seeing her master eyes, Alexis understood that the man knew who Nilo was and fearfully gripped onto Nilo's arm.
"What's so good about that fox?" The snake entire body flamed with fury while her eyes turned crimson.
Lei chose to remain silent, but that only enrage the snake more.
"It's it obvious?" A sweet voice whispered against the wind. "It's because I'm so beautiful."
The red snake glared venomously up at the sky where a figure suddenly appeared floating like an immortal being. Beside her was a handsome man in white – his expression was blank and unreadable.
"You!" The red snake bare her fangs like a rabid beast.
"Ugh... so ugly." The nine-tails fox sighed as she floated down to stand in front of Nilo and Alexis. "Really snake, how do you expect a man to like you when you're showing such a nasty expression? Take me for example, smile like a flower – calm like water – untouchable like the wind."
The more the fox speak, the angrier the red snake felt. No more words were exchanged as the snake used every fiber being of her power and aimed it at the fox. Myka didn't even flinch as she watched the burst of power aimed at her. She even smile as two shields of water surround her. The first shield was created by Cyde – the second by Lei. Such protection made the red snake green with jealousy.
"Oh my." Myka giggled as she looked at the red snake from behind the shields of water. "I feel so loved."
If looks could kill, the nine-tails fox would be bursting flames and turned into ash. The snake wanted to kill the fox but the water dragon caged the snake before she could.
"You are not welcome here." Lei spoke to the snake. "Leave."
Humiliated, the red snake looked at Lei with unfallen tears. Qui masters would never show such weakness to another. Despite so, the red snake showed such a hurtful expression to the water dragon. In a world where emotions should never rule a Qui's action, the red snake unknowingly broke it for the water dragon. Unfortunately, the water dragon doesn't know nor does he care about the red snake feelings.
"I won't let this go fox." The snake could only turn her anger to the fox.
Myka only gave her unreadable smile and watched as the snake smash through the cage, leaving the water snake territory like a flame of sorrow.
