I felt teardrops trickling down my face when I opened my eyes. The familiar white ceiling in my bedroom let me know I was back in my own body.

"Welcome back"

"I hate you..." I scowled bitterly while wiping the residue of my tears.

After Zed Easton and Maida's deaths, I was given a glimpse of the final story. Shortly before Maida ran back into the collapsing cave, multiple militia vehicles speed to the scene. Erin Le had arrived a moment too late to take Maida away safely.

Initially, upon the sight of the horrid meteorite showers, Erin Le first thought went to the beautiful mute woman. Since he had successfully wounded Zed Easton, the commander figured it was the perfect chance to go save Maida. What he did not expect was arriving to the Gobi's lair to see Maida rushing back inside the crumbling cave. He had desperately shouted for her but she did not look back. When he tried to go after her, the entrance to the cave has already fallen. Horrified, Erin Le wanted to find another route inside the cave, but the soldiers pulled him back.

It was already too late for anyone inside the cave.

And as the original story went, the remaining lands were completely destroyed. The male lead managed to get onto the ship which sailed off to safety. The protagonist Rosie Zoua, of course, also was on the ship. When she spotted Erin Le, she had hoped to see Maida with him. Instead, she saw the empty look in the man's face. In tears, she understood without words that the beautiful mute woman was no longer in the world.

Alas the ship sailed away while the remaining people of the world look on at the sinking land.

I was lost in the final image of the story when a notification ping was heard. The sound let me know that Bob had paid me.

"You're not going to check if I sent the correct amount?"

"You wouldn't dare to cheat me" I said without bothering to reach my phone.

"Ready for the next world?" Bob said with a soft chuckle.

"I'm ready to annihilate you and your game"

"Still so stubborn..."

I ignored the crazy-voice-in-my-head. Sure enough, the invisible force punched me in the gut, knocking me out cold.
