"Kyaa! Roman is playing basketball today"

"What are we still doing here? Let's go!"

On the last two days of the week, the students are allowed to leave the school campus to venture out in the city so as long as they abide by the campus strict curfew hours. Usually, during these two free days, many students still stay inside the campus. Being a high school student with limit funds from their parents, there wasn't much that they could do without money. Mina who was in the same boat as many of the students there, did not have extra money to spend, so use most of her free day studying. And as bored and dissatisfied as she may be, Mina kept focus on getting good grades as insurance toward the future.

Just as Mina was heading to the library, a group of girls rushing toward the gym with excitement. Curious, she followed the crowd toward the large building to watch a basketball game between two group of guys in the upper class. Wearing black basketball shorts and a white t-shirt with his sleeves rolled up to his shoulders, Roman Orr stood out in both heights and looks. The girls all squealed with delight at the handsome young man when he dribbled the ball down the court, doing a crossover to avoid his opponents before he did a jump shot at the 3-point line. Watching with amusement, Mina was leaning against railing on the balcony above the court. Seeing Roman Orr giving a high five to his teammates while laughing, Mina couldn't help but smile too. She understood why the girls were all fascinated. Roman Orr with his bad boy sex appeal could annihilate any naive high school girl. The soul inside Mina almost wish she was still a naive high school girl to enjoy the feeling.

"Mina!"

Mina had stood straight and turned to leave when Roman Orr caught sight of her. Startled by his sudden call, she turned back to see a big grin on his face.

"Wait for me!"

Mina wanted to roll her eyes, but she went back to the balcony railing and continued to watch the young man play. Knowing well the guy wanted to show off in front of her, Mina let him. Until the very end, Roman Orr and his team defeated their opponent. Everyone watched at the young man laughed and fist bump his friends before taking off. Rushing up the stairs to the balcony where Mina stood, Roman Orr reached her within seconds.

"Mina" Roman Orr took hold of Mina's hand and smiled happily. "Did you watch me?"

Again, Mina wanted to roll her eyes, but instead, she lifted her hand up and used her uniform sleeve to wipe at the sweats on his forehead and cheek. Feeling moved, Roman Orr smiled softly while watching Mina's quiet expression.

"Have you eaten breakfast yet?" Roman Orr's smiles were blinding, causing several girls nearby to swoon.

"I'm heading to the library"

"It's the weekend. Relax and have some fun once in a while"

Mina looked dryly at the tall handsome young man as if telling him she had no money to have fun. Chuckling, Roman Orr could read her expression and placed a hand on top of her head.

"Let's go out today. My treat"

The soul within Mina was not the type who would turn down a free meal. With a smile, she gave a nod. Roman Orr felt his heart skipped at the sight of it. It had been the first time he saw her truly smile. He hadn't seen the dimples until now.

"Wait for me by the gates" Roman Orr cupped Mina's cheek as he spoke softly. "I'll clean up quickly and meet you there"

Roman Orr then plant a quick kiss on Mina's lips before running off. Surprised by the sudden stolen kiss, Mina looked at the young man rushing off to the locker room with his friends. Amused, Mina turned to leave - not missing all the envious glares from the female students around her.

Later, Mina stood by the campus entrance gates to wait on Roman Orr. She took note that several other students were just down the road at the bus stop waiting for the bus. But what made her took notice was Ashley Giles and Ethan King. Both stood out among the waiting group with their beautiful face and stature. Even in casual clothing, the two were picture perfect.

"Mina" Roman Orr's voice broke Mina's attention from the leading couple.

Turning, Mina saw Roman Orr in gray joggers with a white t-shirt and a white light jacket. The handsome young man, of course, was being admired by several female students but he was too busy scowling at Mina to notice or care. When his eyes flickered to the lead couple in the distance, Mina understood the young man didn't like that she was looking at Ashley Giles. Laughing inside, Mina maintained her quiet expression while looking down at her shoes.

"Why are you still wearing your uniform?" Roman Orr looked at Mina, his eyes soften at her quietness.

Mina hadn't think to change. From the start, she had figured to go to the library to study and didn't bother to wear casual clothing since she was still technically in campus.

"I can't wear my uniform?" Mina looked up at Roman Orr with calm eyes.

"While it's very cute on you" Roman Orr chuckled at Mina's aloof response. "It'll gather too much attention while we're out"

"Is that so..." Mina turned as if to leave. "I'll go change"

"Don't worry" Roman Orr took hold of her hand, stopping her from leaving. "We can buy you clothes outside"

Mina turned to look at Roman Orr with her usual dry expression letting him know, again, that she doesn't have money to spend.

"My treat" Roman Orr chuckled softly.

With that, Mina nodded and followed beside Roman Orr who held on her hand while walking her to the bus stop. Once they reached the bus stop, Mina noticed how Roman Orr stood purposely beside the leading couple. On top of that, he let go of her hand to wrap his arm around her shoulders, showing clear possessiveness of her. Hiding an amused giggle, Mina purposely looked nervously at Ashley Giles as if she was afraid of what the protagonist would think of her. When Ashley Giles glanced at her coldly, Mina flinched like she was hit and tried to step away from Roman Orr's hold. Roman Orr, naturally, took notice of Mina's every move and expression. Not letting her go, he pulled her closer to him, causing her body to nearly fall on him. With a hand holding onto Roman Orr's gray button up shirt, Mina steadied herself. Seeing Ashley Giles' eyes went colder, Mina hastily hid her face against Roman Orr's shirt.

"Keep your eyes off my girlfriend" Roman Orr's dark eyes glared at Ashley Giles, startling her.

Embarrassed, Ashley Giles swiftly turned to Ethan King who immediately shield her. Several students who had been standing around watching the four people in the front center of the bus station, found it strange that Ethan King would shield Ashley Giles. After all, the new freshman was a guy not some girl. And why was the new male freshman blushing like some girl? Before anyone could think further, the bus appeared and Roman Orr was the first to enter with Mina in his arm.
