Chapter Three (Peter)

Anyone can be misguided by anything if they love what's misguiding them

.......

"Hey Karen how's it looking today?" I asked as I swung through the city.

This is all part of being Spiderman. Patrol might be my favorite part of it all though. I mean, who wouldn't love swinging around the city?

The days when there's no crime are the best days. I still help people, but for the most part it's just swinging around the city, and finding the tallest building to sit on and watch the view.

Crime has been on the down low lately, and I know that because I'm a superhero that I should be happy about that, but I'm not. I'm honestly kind of bored. Like what is a superhero supposed to do if there's no one to help? See? I bet you can't think of anything either.

"Seriously Karen? There's nothing? Not even a lost dog, or a petty theft?"

"Sorry Peter. Crime is at 0 today in Queens."

Great. Just great. Now I have to go to school instead of stopping bad guys from doing bad stuff. Ugh!

"Fine. Patrol is over." I said as I swung back to my apartment.

It's crazy how people haven't connected the dots yet. I mean I crawl into my apartment during the day. Where literally anyone could see me. People just don't look up from their phones. I mean I can't really talk since I am kind of wearing a giant cell phone if you think about it. The only difference is that it's a crime fighting superhero suit. Not a small rectangle that would fit in your pocket.

So I guess they aren't really that different.

Anyways. Swinging back to the apartment was probably the most exciting thing to happen today. It's only 5 am though so let's hope that the day gets better eventually.

"Peter are you back!" Aunt May yelled from the kitchen.

I yelled back yes as I was struggling to get out of my suit.

Trust me it's a lot harder than it looks. And just when I had thought I had it in the bag my foot got caught and I fell, face first, into my hardwood floor.

May obviously hearing this ran into my room as soon as she heard the thud.

"This is the third time you've gotten stuck in your suit this week Peter. It's Wednesday."

Okay maybe I get stuck in my suit more times than I would care to admit.

She helped me off the ground, and then helped me get the stupid suit off of of me.

Oh crap. Do you think Mr. Stark could hear my thoughts? If you can Mr. Stark I did not mean it when I said the suit was stupid. I was just angry that I couldn't get it off. It's a little tight. Not that that's a problem. It's perfect thank you.

And now I was rambling to him in thoughts that he couldn't even hear. I'm just kind of paranoid that he would think I didn't appreciate this suit. Trust me I do. It's one of the best things ever.

And now, here I am again trying to justify myself to him when he literally can't even hear me.

He's not here you idiot!

Okay.

Now that I've gotten myself back on track, I should probably get to school.

Last thing I need are tardy's.

I started to rush out of my bedroom to leave the apartment when suddenly May's arm reached out to block my path.

"You do know that I have to get to school right?" I said kind of in the smart way. You know that annoying way that parents and guardians really hate.

She rolled her eyes just like they all do and pointed up and down.

"You do know you're only wearing underwear right?"

I looked down and sure enough I was only wearing underwear. So I quickly shoved May out of the room and threw some clothes on.

A classic Midtown crew neck, some black jeans, and a pair of black vans.

Very classic look for a teenager at my school, but it isn't exactly my goal to stand out amongst my peers so this definitely works for me.

As soon as I was dressed I freaking bolted out of the apartment to my bike, and started pedaling as fast as I could to school.

Lucky for me, I made it into class just as the bell was ringing.

So I wasn't late in case anyone missed that.

"Mr. Parker. As glad as I am that you made it on time today. I'm going to have to excuse you from class today."

My teacher was staring right at me, and I must've looked panicked or something because he just started to laugh.

"You're not in trouble I swear. The principal just wants to see you."

That made me even more nervous, and he must've been able to see that too because he laughed again.

"Don't worry. As far as I've heard you're just showing a kid around school."

I let out the breath that I was holding, accepted the pass that he was handing me, and walked out of the classroom before it could get even more awkward.

When I got there I saw that I wasn't the only kid there. Another kid named Levi Holden was there too.

He's in my grade. Hangs around Flash, but honestly he's a pretty stand up guy. I've talked to him a couple times, but he only acts like a jerk in front of Flash because he thinks that's how he's supposed to act.

Or at least that's what would make sense to me if I were in his shoes. Not that I would want to be in his shoes. I'm sure he paid a lot of money for them, and I'm sure he would hate it if I stood in his shoes.

"Hi I'm Stiles, this is my friend Scott." The kid with the bed headed longer brown hair introduced.

The kid next to him(Scott I think) looked like he didn't want to be here at all.

"I'm Levi. This is Peter," I waved awkwardly at the two of them which, Stiles I think his name was returned with a wave 10 times more enthusiastically.

I cleared my throat before speaking.

"Shall we get started with the tour?"
