A sound which was heard like a click was heard as the female turned off her phone and played with the small fabric made key chain hanging from the loose end of her clear plastic phone case.

She played with the bells sewn onto the key chain before she sprung from her bed, her head slightly drowsy and light headed from quickly shifting her body weight from her bed to her legs, already standing up and closing her eyes, trying to regain her balance, stars present in her eyes.

The female sighed and quickly opened the blinds of the university dorm, the sunlight hitting her eyes, causing her to squint and yawn.

She looked out the window lazily, reaching below her Highland University sweatshirt which was given to her ever since she got accepted two years ago, scratching it, looking out the window and saw the wind blew lightly onto the green trees, and saw students roaming around with smiles on their faces.

Pulling down the sweatshirt, she quickly changed her clothes to look more presentable, kicking the high heeled, silvery shoes from her roommate's study desk and grabbed the dorm room keys which clattered with a low pitch when grabbed by her hands.

She quickly checked her phone, 12:30 pm, it read, and sped to the bathroom, washing her face since she took a nap, and brushed her short strawberry blonde hair quiet roughly before changing her clothes.

She didn't feel the need to shower again, she took one before she went to take the short nap, (2 hours) and went to grab her white sneakers from under her bed and hastily put them on, slipping them on aggressively before grabbing her textbooks and her black laptop bag.

The strawberry blonde young adult went and stuffed her laptop which was now freed from her stickers she used to put when she was in high school and kept them in her laptop bag along with her textbooks and a number of notebooks.

She grabbed the remaining textbooks with her arm and slung her backpack, grabbing her phone and water bottle before going out the dorm room.

She closed the wooden door behind her and locked it with her keys. Gripping the notebook and textbooks in her hand, she rushed to the elevator and slammed her finger on "G", the ground floor.

The young adult saw the doors open and rushed out the elevator, going to the mail room to where her roommate was now at, not liking the attention she was getting from the intern of the mailman.

"Jess!"

Jess turned her head and let out a sigh, quickly retreating from the flirty male and clung to her roommate, placing a hand onto her hair.

"What took you so long? I was-" She stopped midway and glanced back at the male before leaning down and whispering in her ear, the shorter female feeling the hot breath when Jess whispered. "-I was suffering."

She nodded and stretched a hand out to the male with a fake grin far too wide, making the male slightly uncomfortable.

"I'm Ellie Parker, nice to meet you."

The male nodded and brushed his pitch black hair back, a little off his straight hair falling to his forehead. "Jin Takeshi, nice to meet you."

He had black hair and rosy cheeks present on his pale face that made him have the illusion of a baby face. He had a white hoodie on and black ripped jeans with his phone stuck out from his pockets. Jin also had a slight accent which Ellie couldn't pinpoint as German or French.

Jin ruffled his black hair and chuckled lowly. 'I'm sorry," He said, dragging out the 's' in sorry and spoke quite slowly, emphasizing each word with care. "I seem to be too keen to yer friend."

He said, gesturing to Jess with a wink which she shuddered at and tried to hide behind Ellie, hunching to make her figure smaller behind Ellie.

"I v'ill be taking my leave now, bye ladies."

Jin gave a curt smile with a cute wink, sending it to the girls, specifically Jess who was already uncomfortable by the exchange she suffered before Ellie came like her knight in shining armour.

After he left with a slam of the door, Jess let out a shaky sigh. "Thank god you were here! God knows what might happen if, Axel sees this!"

"Axel is a sweetheart, he wouldn't lay a finger on him." She said as she fished out her phone without a second thought

"Why were you in the mail room for though?" Ellie questioned, scrolling through her messages.

Jess crossed her arms. "We were supposed to get report checks from Ariel, but I didn't get any this morning, so I went down and came to check and this bastard was here."

The time read, 12:45 pm, on Ellie's phone. Jess took a quick glance and widened her eyes, immediately pulled on Ellie's hand in a hurry.

"We've had a rough day and now we're gonna be so late to class!" Jessica exclaimed, pulling Ellie along to the campus roughly, the said girl tripping over her steps comically.

Ellie coughed. "You mean 'you're' gonna be late for class." She sighed. "What class do you have again?"

"Political geography & Geopolitics." Jessica said as she raced to the campus. "You?"

"Hospitality Industry. Their giving me those fake customers people again for the assignment" Ellie mentioned with a scowl and a distorted, but yet funny look on her face, her lips pulled downwards and her eyebrows raised, her forehead wrinkling.

Jess cackled. "At least I get to eat your great food after we graduate."

Ellie chuckled. "I'm opening up a coffee shop, not a 5 star restaurant."

They stopped running and took a few deep breaths to regain their posture and previous state. Jessica fixed her brown hair which was a lighter colour at the end.

"Still, your food is damn tasty." Jess glanced at her black watch. "Shit, I have to go, class is starting in 5 minutes."

"Run, run!" Ellie exclaimed, bidding a farewell to her roommate with a smile as the aforementioned girl ran into the large building and chased up the stairs.

Ellie felt her smile fall slightly as she glanced back at her phone, checking the time. "I came here because I usually send her off..."

She scratched her scalp. "But I have 30 more minutes to my lesson, what the hell am I gonna do?"

Spotting a vending machine nearby, she quickly ran to it, sitting down on one of the wooden chairs, plopping down on it with her butt which she whined about the pain since she sat down to hard.

Rubbing her butt, she took out her purse from the front pocket of her backpack and zipped it open. 

The vending machine was a metallic red with drinks in it, for refreshments or if someone didn't bring a water bottle. 

Pulling out a few coins, she slotted it in the machine and it gave a loud humming sound and the buttons to select the drinks were flashed in a bright colour of blue.

Pressing the button for a can of iced lemon tea, after a few quick moments she heard a loud thump and bent down to collect her canned drink.

Opening it, she gulped it down and heard the sound of crows cawing loudly, as she sat back down on the wooden chair.

Blessed silence.

She felt her mind wander as she looked from afar at a student, and she recognised one of them.

One guy was the one she met in the mail room, named, Arin? Marin? Min? Something that ends with, -in from what she vaguely remembers. 

He looked over and ran to her with his eat-shitting grin. "Heya, Ellie Parker!"

The black haired pointed to himself and gave a grin showcasing his sharp canines. "Do you remember me?"

She gulped and averted her eyes to the side. "Arin?" Ellie meekly guessed.

He let out a low laugh that send her heart pounding.

"Jin. How could you get that wrong? Anyways, funny to see you here!"

Ellie chuckled awkwardly and brushed her fingers through her hair. "Yeah, funny to see you here too." She tapped her wrist. "Do you have any classes now, or are you running late?"

He shook his head, his black hair bouncing from the movement.

"Nope, just waiting for a friend." Jin said, slightly bouncing on his feet, his quirky attitude going unnoticed by Ellie.

"Ah, can I sit here for a while to wait for my friend?" He said with a sharp turn of his head, gesturing to the wooden seat that, Ellie was currently sitting on drinking her refreshment.

"Yeah, go ahead."

Jin took a seat down and hummed a familiar tune, but he kept speaking every now and then which irked the girl a little bit.

Please give me my blessed silence back, God.
