I have to admit, I cheated with this one. This picture wasn't technically on my phone randomly. I may or may not have downloaded it simply to share it with you. If you're up for some more shameless promotion, I give you Vicious by Victoria E Schwab. I personally feel that this book is one of my new favorites. I don't know if you guys realise what an honour this truly is.

I don't pick favorite books.

I seriously love pretty much all of them. But Vicious has just made it onto my favorite books list. The one that doesn't exist.

I'm not a huge fan of superhero novels. Doesn't matter. Yes, this book was about superheroes, but it was also so much more than that.

It's all about two best friends that started off as roommates in college. When Eli begins studying EO's (Extra Ordinaries- basically just people with super powers), Victor is sort of intrigued. They wonder if it's really possible to make an EO.

Time skip to ten years later and Victor's in prison, freshly escaped, and he's looking to kill Eli. As soon as Eli learns that Victor's out, he starts plotting to kill Eli.

So you have to figure out why they hate each other while following them in real time as they face each other.

And the side characters are super awesome and also have cool backstories.

I really don't want to spoil too much because this book is something that needs to be experienced without having prior knowledge. And then you can recommend it to that one person that hates reading because it's for everyone and then they will start to love reading and your life goals will be accomplished. Or mine will be anyways.

Seriously, this book is thrilling, action-packed, poignant, and all-around fruitlooping fantastic. You all need to read this. Right now.

Also: I changed the picture format, I think it's wicked that you can put pictures in your stories now. Tell me if you hate it. If you do, it'll only be for a little while so...
